Terrible computer. Relatively new and I have to restart the computer at least once and sometimes twice per day. It's an Inspiron 15. DONT BUY DELL COMPUTERS. Go with HP, they are superior to DELL. I haven't added any appreciable software and operating system is up to date. It's frustrating and unnecessary as well. BIG MISTAKE owning/buying a Dell.
I sent a request for service last week and I haven't been contacted ever since, Everyday since I've been contacting Dell and each time I got confirmation that I was going to receive the requested technical visit to drop by and fix my issue during the day, but I haven't even received a callback from the tech, and it's been the same every day to this date. This issue caused me great loss on my business and support doesn't handle the same information. I'm leaving a bad review on different sites because I had a horrible experience as a customer, each time I got told my case was escalated and given priority but I have to suffer the consequences of a 2-3 day delay of last week, but a whole week passed and I haven't solved my issue. Moreover, dell won't refund my machine. This has been a really dissatisfying and dissapointing experience
Purchased a Dell monitor, webcam and soundbar together. They worked smoothly for just over a year. Within a month of the warranty expiring on the soundbar it began to crap out. I know people with other brands of soundbar going on 8-10 years of use. This Dell slim conferencing soundbar is garbage after 14 months. Called, no technical support after the warranty so Dell basically told me to throw it out. Not impressed with the product or the customer service.
I bought an Inspiron 14. Worked fine for 7 months but then I started to hear a crackling noise coming out from near the power port. I probably wasted 25 hours with their support team. I called in, I texted. I sent my computer in on TWO separate times for their team to manually repair and both times it came back with the same problem - and new problems their team created. On five separate other occasions their team took remote access (for about 90 minutes each time) trying to run tests and fix the computer, but couldn't. The last time the agent actually closed as completed the support chat while we were in the middle of trouble shooting and my computer was rebooting. That put me to the back of the 60-person queue for support. That was the last straw. I had to finally junk the Inspiron after 7 months because it's useless. I will never buy a Dell product again. Customer service was worthless. I don't know if I had a particularly challenging hardware problem or if their team was incompetent - maybe it was a combination of both - but it was maddening. A laptop kept in good condition should not fail after 7 months.
Dell is a literally scam for its warranty violation. Have to share my experience with dell and Alienware here for that I seriously wish I would have known this before I made my purchase half a year ago. To be quite frank, bought my laptop from them when I saw people saying that they have great aftercare support and warranty, which is not the case at all in my experience. So I bought their m18 r2 last summer, the total of my laptop was almost $3K. In this half a year of used, the laptop crashes with blue screens on a daily, sometimes even 3times a day, at times, sitting idle and just crash. The cable of the adaptor falls out just after 5months, now it cannot go without taping on. I really question their hardware quality issue with all these defects and until recently I been told that these are issues I should pursue support from them with my device is still under warranty. I called and they literally 1. denied my warranty claim on their cable problem skipping around on the phone with me and attributing the issue to “customer damages”despite it was clearly its their defective hardware and straight up refused to honor the warranty. 2. For the blue screens, after running hardware check on my laptop they say it’s fine and good to go, however, it’s not the case at all with blue screen kept on running. I posted about these problems and apparently Alien ware has faulty hardware check and quality issues, many others are in a similar case. This is super frustrating, I bought this laptop for work and been super careful with my use of it, and for an expensive laptop that promised supposedly great aftercare and warranty, which I purchased for— now they literally js straight up denying to provide warranty. It’s been such a horrible experience with dell support and Alienware, all the skipping around and lots of waste of time for the past week communicating with them. I’d seriously suggest that u look elsewhere if u thinking of getting a laptop from them.
I own several Dell products and, while the quality of the products is very good, the customer support is extremely disappointing. It is practically impossible to get in touch with technical support. There is no way to chat with a live person; every chat is handled by a virtual assistant that does not help at all. Dell's policy is disrespectful to the client. I do not recommend buying their products.
Worst service ever. After many years of being a loyal customer, this will end it. Multiple calls and shipping of a broken laptop back and forth, paying for unnecessary services has led to a tech going to the wrong house when they still have the device. Really Dell, this is your best?
A TERRIBLE experience dealing with their customer service team. Do yourself a massive favour and get your things from somewhere else. I suggest Apple. Can be more expensive (but not always), but the stuff lasts, and their customer support is top notch.
