Zero customer service, worse sales teamApproached Dell sales team for advice on purchasing an identical computer one bought the year before. Informed this one was no longer available (although it later turned out it was) Was then sent a link to a computer to purchase which was identified as the same performance as the previous one. I was not advised of any changes which should be considered, but was told I could if I wanted to. I took the link at face value, as it could be personalised and assumed it would be as they profess to be "Excellent" and I'd provided such specific requirements. The computers were nothing like the one previously purchased, totally underpowered. When I approached the sales team and customer service, was told it was my problem and tough, despite offering to pay for any upgrade or changes to be made to the machine to make it perform as required. A different sales team then had the audacity to call me to sell me more computers. I will never purchase from Dell again.
DELL ( AGAIN! ) PROBLEM IS THE KEYBOARD LETTERS DUE TO POOR SCREENING ... I GUESS! ANYWAY 3 OF THE LETTERS BECAME SO CHIPPED I COULD NOT READ THE LETTERS 'T-I-O' SO I HAD TO STICK ON LETTERS I TYPED FROM MY DOWNLOAD ... NEEDLESS TO SAY THEY ARE NOT BACKLIT, SUCKS! ... AND WHEN YOU CALL DELL YOU GET SOMEONE FROM INDIA ( I HAVE TO TELL THEM TO SLOW DOWN AND SPEAK UP OVER AND OVER AND THEY READ THE SAME LIST OF JUNK!
DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT buy software subscriptions through Dell when you purchase your laptop. I purchased 3 (McAfee, Adobe Pro 2024 and Office 365.) The McAfee and Adobe subscriptions I was unable to access after tech support did a remote assist session for 3+ hours, and I finally just had to ask for a refund so I could purchase it myself. The Office 365 required technical support to get it installed. As of right now, I'm awaiting a response on the refund request and the remote assist is still trying to get Office 365 to load. This is all after I spent an entire day trying to figure these subscriptions out myself, unsuccessfully.
XPS 15 9530 - had 4 hardware failures in under 2 years. All were fixed under the extended warranty, but when it expired, Dell said the only solution was to buy another one. They ignored my follow-up emails. Not what I expected from a premium laptop. I ended up buying a new laptop.
These issues are from several years back. Previous Dell laptop keys were worn off within few months and honestly this machine was used only every few weeks. I attached an optical mouse and keyboard and found after 5 years those keys were like day purchased. Had contacted dell about the keys wearing off but they declined to assist. Contacted as battery was no longer rechargable and we could not remove it. Oh well. Used it plugged in needed. Battery (?) or whatever pushing up the inboard mouse square not used in years. Could not seem to get the laptop to get start up items going. WiFi connecting took over half hour. Cleaned data and apps off and dropped it to sarcan for recycling with taped not that maybe battery is bulging. New computeryes I know did I get another dell?? Rewards verbally were promised to be $53. I got $17. Along with a that's too bad email. I would have purchased diff brand...
They sold me a refurbished computer as new. I only found out because when I was setting it up and entered my user name and password, it told me it was wrong which was extra weird because it was a brand new computer. So I called tech support to see what was going on and he happened to mentioned that it was refurbished. When I called customer service to demand an explanation she told me that apparently the carrier tampered with the package and somehow magically exchanged my new computer for a used one. Returned and I'll never buy anything from Dell ever again.
I am stuck at a job that still has Dell computers and have had to deal with them. Customer service is the absolute worst. I have had an item sent incorrectly and they refused to return or refund - not respecting Canadian laws. They also pretend to attempt delivery when they don't and have returned the item to their warehouse, I have still to hear from them as they do not reply when they owe us money and merchandise.
I bought a laptop from Dell and they dispatched via a company called DP World. They send you no notification that your order is out for delivery nor do they give you a timeframe that the order will arrive in.I live in Supported living because of my autism and there’s a front door buzzer which you can press to alert staff. On all three occasions the buzzer wasn’t pressed and they tagged the “tracking” as delivery attempted but customer wasn’t home.I’ve never had this problem with Evri, DPD, Amazon logistics etc Just be aware that Dell use DP World and they’re absolutely awful.
Just Wanted To Let You All Now, What I Just Went Happen With My Dell Inspiron 15 Windows Pro Windows. Dell Did A Update To There Windows, When I Called Them They Told Me It Was A Cannon Printer Software Problem - I explained to them it was due to the software update.( Printer Worked Find Before Update. They Told Me They Could Fix It For $99.00. I Believe This Is A Scam ( I call Best Buy And Spoke With A Geek Squad And He Helped Me To Remove The Update Dell Put In. Printer Works Find Cost No Charge.
