Dell desktops often came with defects

Dell desktops often came with defects, getting them to help resolve the issues are also often very slow and unresponsive. It's a huge pain especially because their builds are proprietary too so you can't easily get it fixed yourself or elsewhere. This will be the last time I buy a computer from them.

DO NOT PAY FOR EXPEDITED SHIPPING!!!

Their expedited shipping is not expedited! The computer I ordered works as advertised and I have no issues with it. My issue is that I paid $52 for expedited shipping on 5 June and it was supposed to be delivered on 7June. Keep in mind, that free shipping had it being delivered on 10 June. I received the computer on 9 June. One day ahead of free shipping, and they refused to refund the expedited shipping cost of $52, and didn't deliver as advertised.

I ordered a Dell laptop on May 14

I ordered a Dell laptop on May 14, and it was misdelivered on May 22 — not even to the correct address. Dell admitted fault and promised a replacement, but instead of resolving the issue quickly, they gave me a new delivery date of June 24. That’s over a month after full payment — completely unacceptable. What made this worse was the constant lies from Dell’s technical support. I called nearly every day, and every single time they told me the replacement was being expedited and would ship “tomorrow.” But that never happened. It's just a script they repeat to buy time while doing nothing.Dell doesn't just fail to deliver products. They waste your time, ignore your frustration, and show zero accountability. If you want to be lied to, ignored, and left waiting for over a month for what you paid for in full, Dell is your guy.Otherwise, save your sanity. Go to Best Buy and get an HP Victus or anything else — at least you’ll walk away with your product and your dignity.

If you're into stress

If you're into stress, confusion, and disappointment, then buy Dell. I placed an order last Wednesday for a laptop and screen, lured in by the promise of next-day delivery. Fast forward a week, and guess what? Still no laptop. It's like a tech-themed treasure hunt, except there's no treasure—just endless phone calls and frustration. We're now on day five of my delightful new morning ritual: calling Dell, being put on hold, and being reassured that someone, somewhere is looking into it. Riveting stuff.Honestly, if you enjoy unreliable service and feeling like a nuisance for expecting the bare minimum, Dell is your dream company. For everyone else: do yourself a favour—walk into your local PC World, get what you need, and leave with your sanity intact.

NOTHING BUT RUN AROUD & NO ANSWERS

All I was trying to do is find the Dell Warranty so I could print it out and I could hopefully finish jumping through hoops for my visa card. I am just trying to get some money back for a DELL Laptop that didn't even last 4 years. So excuse me when I have to say NO WAY are you TOP in anything. 4 years and now my credit card that says they add warranty to certain things that you buy with their card have been making me jump through hoops since January. YES JANUARY. AND then all you can get on the Dell website is the run around and I even tried the customer service and that was a joke. I am so frustrated. WHY so hard to just get a copy of your warranty you give with your computers.UNBELIEVABLE

The Dell Inspiron Plus 7440…deceptive selling!

The Dell Inspiron Plus 7440 specifications show that this machine has a barrel-type power supply port. Yet, when the laptop is supplied, the power adapter sent comes with a USB C type connector. This forces the use of the lone USB C Thunderbolt port for the power supply thus significantly diminishing the laptop's connectivity capability to other external devices.Dell's Support was totally useless in understanding the issue or wanting to provide a resolution. The best that Dell Support could come up with is to additionally spend for the purchase of the adapter with the barrel type connector which is listed on their web site. This is deceptive selling!Why?- There is a barrel type power port- Yet Dell will supply a USB C type power adapter that takes away from the connective functionality of the laptop.Dell, provide the proper adapter!!!EDIT:The Dell Customer Response Team [Minhaj@Dell] responded on May 29th, 2025. In summary: "While the system does include a Thunderbolt-capable USB-C port, we recognize that its use for power delivery may limit its availability for other devices"However this is just "talk" as they have taken no steps to provide barrel pin power adapter or even a USB-C to Barrel Pin adapter. Either of these will have resolved the issue! The Dell Customer Service deserves a "minus" star for this flaky response!
