I had the same problem as others with Eventbrite. If the organizer cancels the event and refuses to give you a refund you are out of luck. Eventbrite washes their hands of you. I would never buy another ticket through them.

A year ago we purchased 2 smartwatches. Little did we know one was out on an account that was supposed to have been closed. We never received a bill until we got a collection notice for $1600. We contacted them and were told we had to pay it. After many calls and many representatives we were told that they dropped the ball and didn’t close the account like they were supposed. They took care of everything but the watch. They refuse to add it to our correct account so we can start paying on it. Now we are left to pay a bill that should have never been in the first place. This is also preventing us from being able to upgrade. They need to own up to the mistake and fix this with no money out of our pocket other than the monthly payment on the watch.

I was halfway through my free trial for DeepL Pro when I tried to upgrade my plan. No payment would go through so when I contacted DeepL they answered with: "We are sorry that you could not successfully complete your booking process.We have reviewed your case and regret to inform you that, due to internal policies, we have to reject your request to conclude a contract with us and therefore cannot offer you a DeepL Pro subscription."I still had a week left on my free trial and they halted my pro account! What on earth could I have done to upset their "internal policies"?? They are not answering me about this, I was fully ready to pay or a year subscription and I am not allowed for some obscure reason. Embarrassing.

When an org. acts disreputably then a negative review is warranted.Spotify offer a generous 3month free trial of their premium offering, so I signed up. Not before providing bank details (silly me) after 30 days they started billing claiming I had signed up for a 30day trial. No billing agreement was sent so it was impossible to dispute. I was informed of a “no refund policy” & PayPal couldn’t help. A small amount of $ involved but we must multiply that by however many others have been likewise defrauded. Unlikely that I am the sole victim.

Spotify charged me for a premium account, on the same day they cancelled my account and they didn't want to refund my money, and Paypal were OK with that. No response from Spotify and Paypal didn't do anything either. Terrible service, and barely legal practices.

I booked my ride on-line the day before I needed it and received confirmation. The day of my pick-up I received regular texts from Lyft telling me how far away my ride was and an ETA, up to an hour before my scheduled pick-up. Then, 20 minutes before my ride was scheduled to arrive, I received another text telling me that my ride was canceled because you couldn't process my payment. I was never asked to pay for my ride ahead of time from your web site, nor was I taken to a page that gave me that option. I am used to paying for a ride after the fact. I was left stranded and had to rely on other inconvenient means to get my ride ASAP as I had an appointment. I will never use Lyft again until your process changes.

Please don't use them for anything precious to you. I've lost years of photos of people I loved, some no longer with us. This is because they only let you recover your password via the old-fashioned way of only using your original email address as validation. There are so many different ways of validating customer identity but they stay in the past and don't care. Customer service is non-existent, they just tell you to contact your email service provider to try and get them to give you access to your old email account, basically washing their hands of the issue and passing the buck. My email service provider went out of business so now Dropbox will be holding my photos hostage forever. This is also a waste of data storage, which is an ecological issue if they're doing this as common practice. I'm absolutely gutted, very upset that I didn't keep the hard copy versions of some of my old photos and trusted they would be safe here. Humans forget passwords. Come on Dropbox, figure this out and let me into my account!

Got charged the susbcription without a single warning and no budging when it comes to a refund. I notified them 6 hours within the time they charged me and won't even attempt to return the 95 euros they took from me. completely useless website.
