Purchased a dell back in march 2020. Noticed the speaker didnt work for zoom (zoom is used for many things in this pandemic) in September. Have been in contact with technical support. Had someone come to my house, on the phone for hours, and had it shipped for repair. Its January 2021. Issue not resolved. They wont give me a refund/exchange because its out of 30 days from purchase. Customer service and technical support were BAD. Even spoke with the supervisor who said the best he could do was send someone to my house again for repair then hung up on me. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE with dell
I always heard that Dell gets a bad service rap. But my new laptop crashed I went on the chat tech support.they had me retun it in a prepaid box and I had it back in 5 days fixed and no charge .so i cannot understand all the negative reviews. My experience was flawless.
I love Dell products and think the XPS is amazing. It is the Dell service that is an issue. It is HORRIFIC. They sell you in all the peace of mind 4 year warranty and service plans....turns out they are more like POS. I spilled coffee on my 6 month old XPS over the holidays and had to suffer through what was the absolute worst customer experience of my lifetime...if I did not love the product, I would never buy Dell again. The service business set-up is what you might have received in the old USSR: an India call center coordinating with slimy/shifty vendors in the US for in-home repair. If Dell wants their service to be remotely on par with their products, they should blow this whole thing up and re-engineer the service concept from A-Z. They may not make as much money - right now, it is maximize profits at the cost of customers...not a recipe for long-term success.
I've only had Dell computers for many years until recently, when I made the mistake of letting Dell run a system update. Computer rebooted to a Welcome to Windows screen and really the system was essentially destroyed. I'd made the mistake of not having my 350GB of downloads backed up, so I lost those, and while Dell support DID work on at least making the computer functional (they got it limping along, but every time I logged in, it was to a calendar that thought it was September, work programs that I had to constantly change to my settings, not default, just a constant daily reminder that my computer, that had worked perfectly before, was now junk). What bugged me was the tech support guy said, Oh, your computer is really old, which, No, it was just over 2yrs old... which reminded me when my last Dell died it was less than 3yrs old... Upside to this is that I purchased an HP with an SSD and a 7TB external hard drive and I could not be happier.NEVER AGAIN WITH A DELL
I bought a 24’ monitor P2419 on 24 Dec and it developed cracks on 27 within 3 days ! Tried to contact dell retailer who was rude later, service center in complete mess and customer care totally non supportive! I bought it thinking of better post sakes services, but I was wrong . Please don’t fall in Dell’s glossy tags n advertising it’s almost poor or say pathetic ! I will not buy any dell product in future and nor recommend to anyone ! Beware.
I bought a XPS 1500 (9500) it came broke. Camera and Mic did not work. Now the tech is supposed to come and replace the LED which has built in Camera and Mic. Problem is each time you logon to site to check status it gives you different date to come and fix it. I need to know real date to make sure I'm home. Here is the last updated I got. "Your technician is scheduled to arrive onsite on Fri, Jan 1, 2021 11:00 PM. " really they are going to come in the middle of the night? 11:00 PM. I called and they said they should be there 4 Jan 2021. Ok so is it going to be 1 Jan in middle of the night or 4 Jan? Dell service sucks.
Really bad service. I ordered a monitor on Black Friday and still didn’t receive it until new year. My order was delayed for a month and their shipping company is ridiculously slow and the system is so stupid. I wish I just bought it at Best Buy for the same price. Will never buy from dell again
Worse customer service I ever experienced. Received a monitor and it was missing the stand. I called 4 times to let Dell know. Each time I was on hold for over 30 minutes. Each time someone picked up I was disconnected. I called back the next day and was discontented again. I finally got through and was transferred 4 times with nothing resolved. I will never order a Dell product again.
