I found a recall on my Senseo coffee maker, it can blow up and cause injury, their customer care center don’t know anything about it, they hardly speak English and rude.worst support I’ve ever experienced. Will no longer buy anything from Phillips.
I bought a phillips ambilight tv via Ritcher Sounds ( highly recommned Ritcher Sounds, they know how to look after their customers) which after only 6 months of use. started bleeding white and became cloudy on blacks on tv shows and movies. I had presented this issue to them initially and after more time than I would have liked, they did send someone out to repair it. However, the repair has lasted 2-3 months before the issue has come back. As my warranty is with them, I had to go back to them in order to re-present my issue to them in the hope it would be fully resolved. However after 2 weeks of emailing back and forth, they dismissed my issue after asking for only a couple of pictures. They concluded no issues and closed my case. I therefore complained and hoped that they would re-open my case for investigation however this was ignored. I was told to be 'patient' when chasing, then after almost another 2 weeks of waiting, I chased again only for then to close my case almost immediately. I still have not been told about their complaints procedure after asking and attempting to officially complain. My issue is still apparent, and I was told I wasn't able to speak with anyone of seniority. Absolute shambles of a Tech company. I will wait until the Ritcher Sounds warranty takes over and have them deal with it as they're much more competent in dealing with issues like this. Don't buy phillps guys, although, i suppose nothing is made to last these days eh
They do not honour warranty claims. I've been trying to get my broken air purifier fixed for 6 months now. It was under a 2 year guarantee. They just ignore your calls and emails. Absolutely unbelievable customer experience. I will never guy Philips again. I have driven out to their service centre 4 times now, 50 mins each way - at their request. I have requested a replacement machine and they won't respond to my request. I can see they open my emails but don't reply. I have lodged a complaint with Consumer Affairs.
If I could give a minus I would. Whilst the egg cooker 3000 series is a great little item, the customer services are diabolical. This was purchased for an 87 year old lady, the measuring pot that comes with it is barely readable with 20/20 vision let alone an 87 year old! Having discussed this issue with customer services they have no clue as to what I was talking about! Still not resolved, the second egg boiler has perfect markings on the measuring cup, but Philips don't seem to understand or want to understand that the original cup CANNOT BE READ! I always thought they were a decent company but this experience has left a sour taste.
This is for the Philips 50” Ambilight TV. Purchased in September 2023 from Argos. Was happy with purchase until approx 5 months in when noticed dark grey patches on the screen that looked like storm clouds, only noticeable on light backgrounds. Rang Argos but directed to contact Philips. Advised by Philips that wouldn’t be fixed/exchanged/replaced as the patches were down to “environmental factors” so things like dust, scented candles, smoking, anything that puts pollutants in the atmosphere. Unless you live in a sterile bubble I wouldn’t recommend this TV at all.
DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THEM. My ‘smart’ Philips TV is the worst POS I have ever owned. It constantly reboots itself (five times in a row is its current best streak) and will often switch from whatever programme you were watching and return itself to the Home Screen. Then you’ll have to fight with it for about 5 minutes before it will actually listen to your input and resume what you were watching. Oh, and then it’ll reboot itself again. I thought Philips was a decent brand before this - I’ve no idea how they’d managed to foster such a reputation, probably brainwashing from the 5G - but I’ll never be buying any Phillips product ever again and I suggest you do the same. It’s not worth the hassle.
Bought a Philips tv, under a year and it started having black cloudy shading on the screen. Battled with them and they eventually had their service company collect it, we were without a TV for 3 wks. They didn't replace it and the engineer said it cost Philips more to fix it than replace. It came back with a clear screen but a year later the shading is back. Philips refuse to do anything. Never buy Philips tvs.
I recently encountered an issue with my Philips air fryer, which stopped working despite still being under warranty. I called customer service and was instructed to send the unit to the nearest repair shop, which I did on February 21st. A week later, I received a message stating that a part had been ordered. Since then, I've received no further communication. I called the repair shop a week later, and they informed me that Philips had sent the incorrect part and the air fryer is still not working. They advised me to contact Philips customer service. When I called customer service, they said they would follow up with the repair shop and promised to call or email me back. Another week went by with no response, so I called again. The customer service representative said they had sent a follow-up email but received no reply from the repair shop. There is a complete lack of urgency, responsibility, and communication as they continue to pass the issue between customer service and the repair shop. I demanded a solution within the day, but so far, there has been no response. It seems they will just wait for the repair shop to read the email, which could take forever. Their job appears to be done once the email is sent, and if there's no response, it's not their responsibility. It's a shame that a big brand like Philips has such poor customer service and makes customers run around in circles. I will never deal with Philips again, and I wouldn't recommend them to anyone.
I bought a shiny new 43PUS8807 in January 2023 thinking how fantastic it'll be. Has mostly been good except one glaring issue. Settings cannot be accessed from any Freeview based apps, itvx, iPlayer, pop, etc. When the button is pressed you are abruptly put back on the home screen meaning HDR settings cannot be changed from there. Philips were made aware of this issue around June 2023 and you end up with the usual turn it off and on, reinstall. They were adamant it is normal to not be able to access settings from there even though every other app allows access. A fair bit of back and forth happened and they close cases when asked about it refusing to even attempt to consider there is an issue. Time goes on where I'm reminded that HDR content on any of those apps is unwatchable and how I can't adjust sound settings when needed. More recently I asked Freeview about it and they have said that this is not normal and it is behaving like a compatibility issue which would be sorted on Philips side. I Was under the impression that dealing directly with Philips would be the right move as they should have all the knowledge and power to sort an issue but no. They have tried to tell me that an issue with settings not opening in iPlayer is different to settings not opening in all Freeview based apps. I regret saying specifically in 2023 as that's now being used against me, claiming you're outside warranty with a new issue. They have dragged this outside warranty by saying this is normal so they they can get away with doing nothing. I'm amazed this long has past to not have an outcome from a company I assumed was reputable.
