Abusive policies of Adobe Photoshop

I pay for a monthly subscription to Adobe Photoshop. Using their generative App I tried to generative a photo of an old-time white lawman from Tombstone AZ in the 1880s for an article I'm writing. I entered a sample photo of a white male lawman in Tombstone. I got an instant popup saying my guidelines were not acceptable. I was not being racist that is what I needed. When I redid the request dropping the white male I instantly received numerous results all of them black males. I need a white male for my article and I am very offended by this type of response from Photoshop. I'm a professional photographer and over the last 25+ years, I've owned or subscribed to every version of Photoshop. I have spent a lot of money with this company, and this is an abuse of my rights to ask for an innocent request for a photo I need for my article. I would suggest to anyone looking for a good photo program to try ON1 Photo Raw 2024, Luminar Neo, or Affinity Photo services as they don't abuse your First Amendment rights of free speech.Adobe's reply is a lie, I can't contact them, I have tried. I was on hold for an agent 2 days ago for 5.5 hours. I signed into my account, and went to help, the system said I was in line to CHAT with an agent. I was in line for 9 hours, and no agent ever connected. Their answer is just their standard lies, they don't care about their customers. We as consumers are fed up with this kind of treatment from software companies.

Absolutely horrendous customer service

Supporting AI to take down the industry that lines their pocket

They are happy to charge creatives £50 a month for access to their buggy software while profiting and promoting the AI ‘art’ that’s destroying the industry that have lined their pockets for years. They also promote and sell AI rubbish on Adobe Stock actively taking money out the pockets of hard working artists in favour of people capable of writing a sentence in AI software. Pathetic.

Despicable Business Practices

Adobe has gone down the corporate greed rabbit hole. Unfortunately, as with most current tech companies, Adobe has moved away from the idea of the consumer actually owning a product and joined the greedy and inconvenient trend of subscription models. NOBODY, and I mean nobody (minus your shareholders) thinks this is a great or revolutionary idea. People are SICK of greedy corporations forcing consumers to pay for a subscription to a product they should have only had to pay ONE time to OWN, not BORROW. The only reason Adobe and other corporations are not getting absolutely swamped with these negative feedback surveys is that the modern consumer feels that their opinion is lost on these companies when we actually do provide feedback. Rather than listen to the people who wish to buy your product (and would pay a hefty price just to permanently OWN it, too! - Yes, I am aware how much Adobe overcharged when owning one of your products was allowed...), it is abundantly clear that the only party whose opinion and patronage matters is your shareholders. Again and again, it has been proven that shareholders and investors do not have the best interests of the consumer in mind, and in the end this will result in more and more consumers refusing to buy your product. There has been a noticeable shift away from quality, support, and ease of use of Adobe and other corporations as well. Forcing consumers into an annual contract is a repulsive practice and contrary to what your quarterly earnings may reflect, it is NOT a sustainable business model. I will no longer be using or purchasing any Adobe products or subscriptions due to this, and will advise my family, friends, and co-workers to do the same until these practices have been abolished and Adobe returns to the one-time purchasing practice.

Adobe InDesign kept crashing on me…

Adobe InDesign kept crashing on me today. I tried doing all the basic troubleshooting myself: rebooting, updating my MacOS, uninstalling, reinstalling, closing out all other applications, and made sure that I have enough space on my computer. I am not an IT professional and did not want to search the community forums. I finally found their support phone number and was on hold for over an hour before they disconnected the call. Instead of AI that real designers who used their products for decades don't need or want, Adobe should be investing much more in their application support team.

I have never despised a company more…

I have never despised a company more than Adobe, their software has so many bugs and issues and their subscription model is a total rip off and a con, if I look back 25 years the version of adobe I was suing then had all the features I ever needed to do my job as a graphic designer, nowadays they bundle Photoshop with a load of fluff, (useless applcations) clearly designed to make their awful subscription seem like value for money. I have now switched to the Affinity suite of products, and have no plans to switch back in this lifetime! I hope the US courts destroy these cowboys once and for all! Horrible company
