What do I mean by that? You are BILLED monthly, but the terms you sign locks you into a full year of paying. NO ONE ELSE does stuff like this for personal app subscriptions, only for businesses. You aren't expecting to get locked into a contract when you're shopping for personal use software.Thankfully, I wasn't bitten by the early cancellation fee. My subscription ran it's course and I didn't pay again. Even still, this is a horrible practice that people should be warned about. Adobe really doesn't give ample information about the fact that you're in a contract. I didn't even know that until after my subscription was out! If I couldn't afford the final months I would have had to pay to NOT use their software.Date of experience I put is based off when my subscription went out.
Utterly disgraceful subscription package options. If you're a part time creative Adobe is beyond expensive, and is robbery in broad daylight. I have been using them up to now because I'll admit their product is better than most, but their pricing is a shambles. They also have no customer care team so its impossible to reach out to them.
One of the worst software experience I have ever had in my entire life. Used it for a college class. Adobe Cloud always finds a way to start on my system even though it doesn't have startup priviledges. They have so many different processes running to do God knows what. This is unacceptable. I will not pay you for what is essentially malware. Edit: to get out of paying them to cancel your subscription you can just switch to a new plan and it will give you about a week to cancel and they will not charge you anything because its an entirely new subscription that cancels out your old one. Suck it Adobe. They even paid me $5 to cancel because I switched to a cheaper plan before immediately canceling and they paid me the difference.
Don't trust Adobe. Their free trials are not free. They take your card details and bill you every month. I'm paying $24 a month for Adobe Illustrator I tried but never wanted. When I try to cancel they want to charge my $60. Adobe knows that I had zero value from their product. What a scam.
I was about to get stung by the cancellation fee but put my foot down and didn't get charged! There's always a way to not get charged - a "one time exemption" in my case! If, like me you forgot about the 14 day trial...Adobe logs everything and they were able to see that I downloaded the software and then never used it again. This is how I was able to get out of paying the extortionate 50% cancellation fee. Yes that's 50% of the remaining annual balance...for software that is billed monthly. Hope this prevents someone else from being robbed.Top Tip: Don't accept their 3 month free offer. I was strongly advised to accept this offer but I dug in and only managed to come off £16 lighter. Support was fine, handled by the book but don't give in to their tactics. Genuinely shocked by the level of poor reviews, which I also used as evidence against them and their very crafty, very misleading small print, that I definitely did not read!
Fraudulent company, set up an account years ago but never received any membership details, have taken payments out of my account for years with no membership and no option to cancel, i am trying to cancel with my bank, where is the customer service for this company as i have not been able to find any and cannot access online as they have not provided me with membership details to access this.
Firstly I am a Senior Citizen who only requires the basics. ie Downloading. Example, this date attempted to Download a Fed. Govt. Form ( a once a year form confirms I am still me and alive) couldn't do so without purchasing some new Program/App from Abobe. Attempted to contact a Service Agent, got the AI program which could not grasp the issue. Set up for sales only. The initial program worked fine for my simple needs. But now that simple program no longer covers the basics. It's set up to sell additional add-ons that allow one to deal with these basics. And then we have the annual renewal, just going up - up. Threaten to cancel, at renewal time, and all of a sudden there's some magic deal available. To conclude, their whole Sales Program seems like a scam to me. Has become a nightmare, including the cost of annual renewals.
