An amazon delivery driver damaged the gate at the front of my residence (which is a driveway gate not a pedestrian gate) when he tried to pull it open rather than simply ringing the doorbell. He was videotaped by a Ringcam in the process (ironically sold by Amazon). He dislodged the gate by forcefully trying to open it. He did not disclose that he had damaged the gate when he delivered the package though clearly being aware he had caused damage to it as he tried to push it back in without success. A repairman had to be called and I had to pay for the gate to be fixed. The claim was reported to amazon. To date, several phone calls, several emails, a filed claim, and still no reimbursement from Amazon. They tell me I need to deal with their insurance company, ARC. ARC sent an email saying they will respond within five days. A number of weeks have gone by and no response. Several phone calls to Amazon have yielded nothing but a referral to their insurance company's voicemail. I pointed out to them I did not buy their product from the insurance company but from Amazon and it was Amazon that is responsible for damaging my gate. I pointed out I have been a loyal customer and that this is a customer service issue and that whatever dealings they have with their insurance company are not my problem but theirs. Amazon has done nothing to assist me. Their customer service is pathetic and does not bode well for the continued success of this company. Despite their accumulated riches during the pandemic they are sure to lose a large portion of their customers over time with these practices. Not only has their customer service been bad but their delivery driver failed to disclose the damage caused to my gate. This company cannot be trusted and I will be ceasing my membership. They should be ashamed of themselves for pocketing massive profits while leaving it to the consumer to deal with problems they cause when delivering products.
So, I made an Amazon account under my name, set up a credit card that was mine with my name on it so I could order stuff. For some reason Amazon would not except my credit card as payment. So I went out and bought a gift card for 300 bucks and added that to my Amazon account so I could purchase things cause my credit card wasn't working. So I made a purchase with the gift card money. I then get an email saying my account has been locked for suspicious activity???? Then they want proof that the credit card is mine, and if I don't send proof they will terminate my account with the 300 dollars even after I showed proof of purchase for the gift card. So I sent them the proof and they still won't activate my account, so now I'm out of luck??? No wonder Jeff Bezos is so rich when he just steals money from honest people. Beware Amazon is a bad company!
AMAZON PRIME 2 DAY DELIVERY! BS I BEEN A SO CALLED PRIME MEMBER FOR 4 YEARS AND HAVE NEVER HAD ANYTHING MAKE IN LESS THAN 2 WEEKS WHEN THEY USE CANADA POST! CANADA POST IS INADEQUATE AT THE BEST OF TIMES! I FEEL LIKE ALL I PAY YOU FOR FREE DELIVERY AND THAT IS ALL! THEY SHOULD NOT BE ALLOWED TO ADVERTISE 2 DAYS! ESPECIALLY DEALING WITH THE SAME FAMILY RUN POSTAL OUTLETS COAST TO COAST. CANADA POST DICTATES HOW IT IS. CANADA DICTATES WHEN IT IS! WE HAVE NO CHOICE! WHY WOULD AMAZON WANT TO ASSOCIATE THEMSELF WITH SUCH A NO CLASS BUSINESS MODEL SUCH CANADA POST. CANADA POST HAS NO STANDARDS. I HAVE LIVED COAST TO COAST IN CANADA. AND IT'S THE SAME BS COAST TO COAST. WHEN ARE YOU PEOPLE AT AMAZON GONNA WAKE UP AND USE UPS AND FEDEX WHY ARE YOU AT AMAZON MAKING MY LIFE STRESSFUL BY USING A INFERIOR DELIVERY SERVICE LIKE CANADA POST? DO YOU GUYS AT AMAZON NOT RELEALIZE CANADAPOST IS GOVERMENT RUN MEANING THEY WASTE TIME AND MONEY! I REFUSE TO ORDER ANYTHING ELSE FROM YOU AT AMAZON UNTIL YOU OFFER A NEW DELIVERY SERVICE CHOICE
How to get a refund for a product that was never delivered by Amazon. I tried my best to go through fine prints to find out how to get a refund for a product that was never delivered and AMAZON advised you to claim a refund. This is the second time and I am really fed up. There is no way to contact AMAZON. The system tells you to print the label and deliver the product to a Postal outlet. Will some wise guy in Amazon tell me how to return something which you never received? The Noble prize is waiting for someone to solve this puzzle. Furthermore, the prime membership is a hoax. You get deliveries as late as 2 months. If due to COVID they cannot handle the volume, at least they can refund the money. There is no way to contact them. Worst customer service. I have refunds pending and no one is bothered.
I suspect many have a love/hate relationship with them, can't live with them, can't live without them.So a summary of my experience with Amazon Canada:1. Items are way more expensive than Amazon US and UK. It does pay to shop around not only online but at local stores too as both can be cheaper. 2. The online shopping experience, finding items, is like going into a book store and none of the items is categorized, just thrown anywhere. When you search on something it may give you some related results but really have to know their search engine in order to get the best out of it.3. You don't know by what method an item is going to be shipped by until the day of the order. You know roughly when it's going out but not the shipping method. On the day you can see from the order whether an Amazon employee will deliver it or going via Canada Post, there is no planning in advance that I can do to decide if I need to wait indoors for it or can safely go out finding the item in my postbox when I get home.4. Luckily I've not been in this situation much but if you need to contact Customer Service then it's like a process with them considering "is this customer worthy enough to speak with us" from the Gods. So, I do my best only to order items I hopefully will never have any issue with.5. Mostly we know when the Amazon delivery person will arrive in our neighbourhood, around lunchtime, so I know I can sneak out first thing in the morning to have a walk. However, there are one off's when I've had to wait indoors all day not knowing a window when it will be delivered or even if they run out of time to deliver it. Now and again we notice drivers that deliver around 9pm or after have been driving around since 10am without having a pee or bite to eat all day. Then I feel very guilty ordering from the company only to realize their staff are being tortured this way.
Yet again my pre-order that was supposed to be delivered on launch day is 3 days late. Contacted customer support only to have them threaten me with cancelling my order. My mistake was that I swore. In my defense this was the 9th person (yes 9th) I was bounced to. None of them seemed to even grasp my issue even though I explained it nine separate times.I got this pre-order at a lower price than what amazon is currently selling for. Receiving discounts pushes you down the recipient list. Been a prime member for years but I think this latest incident will have me cancel renewal.
I am an Amazon Prime member, and ordered several gifts for Christmas. All items were in stock and were supposedly guaranteed to be delivered within 2 days. That didn't happen. The courier service they are using (ASL) never attempted to deliver any of my items, and instead "returned to seller". I found out on an online forum, that everyone in my community has been having the same issues! There are hundreds of packages that ASL has not delivered as promised in just our small community! (Moonstone, Ontario) We have called Amazon, who has told each of us that they have deprioritized ASL as the courier, and to place our orders again. We have done that, and Amazon has shipped via ASL - and our packages are either lost or returned to seller AGAIN!Clearly Amazon doesn't really care and is doing nothing to fix the issue.Beware!!!!!
Several months ago, I ordered aprons on Amazon.ca. I contacted the seller several times, as the order never arrived. I tried to look up the seller on Amazon, but they have disappeared from the site. I wrote a review of the order on Amazon and Amazon has rejected it.
