Every time I get cross with Amazon they remind why they are so good at their game! They take responsibility for their mistakes. A rare thing in this day and age. It would take a lot to get me to say anything other than they are a first-class consumer experience (my experience). I hope everyone can sing their praises too but I suspect Amazon isn't perfect either. They have made mistakes with me too but they take responsibility and make things as right as they can be in my experience.
Amazon.ca has been nothing but amazing for me, and they have corrected any issues that arise very quickly.I have spent a very large amount on Amazon over the years, and I am very impressed with how they handle Customers. If there was ever an issue with my order, they fixed it - or refunded it for going missing. They’ve given me promotional credit for the small things, and even the big things - they always strive to make you happy as a returning Customer. Not only is most of the stuff I buy cheaper than local, it saves me enough money to focus on other things in life.. rather than being price gouged by our local stores here.
I am having serious problems with the courier service Amazon is using in Canada (ICS). They are not respecting regulations and have already been fined by local governments for these breaches. This has been brought to Amazon's attention on numerous occasions and they are not doing anything about it. This time a delivery was made without prior notification and the tracking status still being at 'shipped'. Despite not opening the door, the package was found in the hallway; a breach of regulations this company has already been fined for 3 years ago.And now they have found a new excuse not to deal with it: they are requiring you to give all your contact details before they are even talking to you. Giving your name, the order number and an email is not enough apparently. It is clear that Amazon only cares about making as much money at all cost in order to fund Bezos' space ambitions which are certainly outside the scope of the carbon emission offsetting that he has promised....
Terrible. The left hand doesn’t know what the right is doing. I had a notice on my orders page that delivery of my order was cancelled and a refund would be made in 3-5 days. I called customer service and was told they couldn’t send a replacement until they received the product back from the courier. The agent then said the package is still in Calgary warehouse, 6 hours from here and he doesn’t know if it can be delivered. Nor will they send a replacement until the item is returned as the packaging was damaged. But they still had the item! I was getting nowhere with the agent so after over an hour of back and forth, I finally had to give up as all I was getting were scripted answers. So I called the courier company (Purolator) who gave me the TRUTH, the package was NOT damaged, it had in fact been mislabeled without a return address and was returned to Amazon for proper labelling. The information I had on my order page apparently won’t show on the shipper page until end of day. Why is there such a disconnect between order depart, shipping and customer service that the customer knows more about status the Amazon does? This is about Amazon.caUnfortunately I can’t post a screenshot of what Amazon stated re my order cancellation.
I had received a gift card for amazon. So on Aug 23 I ordered some running shoes from Amazon. I put in my new mailing address, as my old address was on file in my amazon account. I paid the seller $125.15 for the shoes. I never received them. I contacted amazon on Sept 1 @9am, I spoke to Mahmood an amazon representative, he was not helpful, asked for a manager was transferred to Jane, who said they would contact the seller and get back to me. I heard nothing back at all. On Sept 5 I contacted Amazon again, spoke to Raphael. This representative claimed he could not verify my account, in spite of my providing him my name, address, order#Order DetailsOrdered on August 23, 2021 Order# 701-4593431-5922616Amazon.com.ca, Inc.Item(s) Subtotal:CDN$ 112.52Shipping & Handling:CDN$ 12.63Total before tax:CDN$ 125.15Estimated GST/HST:CDN$ 0.00Estimated PST/RST/QST:CDN$ 0.00Gift Card Amount:-CDN$ 100.00Grand Total:CDN$ 25.15Transactions
