So, I ordered a large and expensive item. I was told it would be here by a certain date. The item did not arrive by that certain date because, despite me previously expressly asking not to have Purolator used to send me my orders (because I like to receive my orders, and Purolator is incapable of delivering anything other than their stupid "come get your stuff yourself" sticker to your door), they of course sent this large and expensive item by Purolator. Strike 1.So Purolator is nowhere to be seen by the delivery date - hardly a surprise. Amazon's website (I'm an idiot and should have taken a screenshot) says that if I don't receive my item by a certain date, I can come back and request a refund. This was, bluntly put, a bunch of bullsh*t. I talked to Amazon customer service via their chat (and I have the transcript!) and was also told I could request a refund.Today, I requested that refund so I can order this item from somewhere else, and hopefully actually get it. And Amazon is refusing to refund me, refusing to honour information they clearly provided on both their website and through their customer service agent. This is why I HATE shopping online - (not to mention all the cheap, potentially unsafe knock-off Chinese garbage they're peddling these days). But hey, Jeff Bezos has your money so he couldn't care less.Avoid this company. I'm probably calling Visa tomorrow and disputing the charge, since the $2,000 dollars plus has been billed to me and is sitting on my credit card, and I have frig all to show for it. I regret ever having gotten a Prime Membership - an annual one at that. Fool me once....
Don't order from Amazon if you live in an apartment. Since Amazon switched to delivering their products themselves I have had lots of issues. I basically can't get delivery unless Im into recieve it. All other courier services and Canada Post have an options to collect from the depot or a partner store in town. Not so with Amazon if they can't get inside your building to leave the package by your door, the order doesn't get delivered. Obviously know one can be expected to be at home for every delivery. I have tried to get packages sent to an alternate address, but it must be 1 mile of the original address. I'm not usually one to write reviews but after 3 phone calls 2 emails to try and resolve this I can honestly say Amazon has ruined my day! Everyone else in Canada has better delivery options. Order from some else!
Friend bought $500 Amazon gift card from 7-11 gas station. Came home, friend scratched off back of card and there was no claim code. This was September 29,2020 it's now Oct 9,2020 he's been calling almost every day trying to get refunded card amount to his Amazon account, but customer service is horrific where he goes through the same song and dance with them every single time where he takes pics of card and receipt, they claim that they can help and will contact him but they never do. Went to escalation 4 seperate times and nobody at customer service can figure out what's going on with the I formation that my friend has sent in. He's extremely frustrated and is out $500, with Amazon claiming zero responsibility over the authenticity of the gift cards that they sell, actually telling this to him over the phone. What seemed like a simple fix turned into an impossible feat yet to be resolved. Absolutely reprehensible behavior on Amazon
Personally I like them have never had issues. If packages don’t show up or if there’s something wrong they refund right away. At the same time I spend hundreds there a month so I don’t think they offer such benifits to newer accounts but they will once you make a few purchases
Here in Montreal, they now use Intelcom to deliver their packages where previously it was mostly Canada Post. My biggest gripe is that Intelcom has strict instructions, apparently, from Amazon to leave the packages that are less than $300 in the lobby or on the porch for a house. Should the package get stolen, the insurance will handle it. Now from the blogs, should you claim a stolen package too often they will refuse you. But here's the twist I had two packages arriving with Intelcom, one I received the other according to Amazon tracking still on route. After an hour or so the tracking notified me it was delivered but when I went down it was nowhere to be found. Just a hunch but I feel the driver may have realized that he forgot the package and simply scanned it delivered, keep in mind that this was an independent driver who had 130 packages to deliver that day. I'm not sure who has the greater fault but if I had to chose it would be Amazon. Either way good luck surviving both. To fix this I lost 2 days of work and countless hours on the phone with the Philippines for Amazon, and a pretend customer service with Intelicom - it was really an answering service pretending to be Intelicom.
Seriously you still keep using the worst postal service ever like Canada post?!, they don't even attempt to deliver any package, people has always to go and pick up their stuffs to the postal office which is completely annoying, if you keep using their horrible service, I will stop buying products with you and I will search other places!!.
