Review Time
I have used LastPass for more than 10 years because it WAS easy to use and, I thought, secure. In the last few years it has been hacked and customer data stolen. Recently, I have been having trouble logging in. I have used the correct password and email. I know this for a fact because , not only have I verified the information, but copying and pasting a few times, it sometimes works. When it tries to load my vault, it asks for a repeat sign in. Paste in the correct one ... sometimes works, now less frequently. Sometimes you can click on the 3-dot icon and click reload and it sometimes logs you in, sometimes not. Close the browser (or use a different one) and that usually (so far) works. I have removed/deleted the extension and reinstalled it and have the same issues. Support is basically non-existent unless you pay/have a premium account. I would continue to use it if I could find a solution to the login problem.
I was unable to log into my account and needed support. If you follow the support links, you have to log in to get any help. So you end up just going in circles and cannot receive help. Whoever designed the support for LastPass needs to give their a head a shake. Really, really stupid. Had to close account and use different password manager.
I had an incredibly frustrating experience with LastPass. I was unable to sign into my account and tried resetting my password multiple times, yet I still couldn't regain access. To make matters worse, their customer service is practically non-existent unless you are already logged into your account—which is absurd, considering login issues are the main reason many people need support in the first place. There is absolutely no way to get help if you're locked out. This lack of accessible customer support is unacceptable for a company that handles sensitive information like passwords. I strongly advise against using LastPass. Without proper support, you’re on your own if something goes wrong. Never again!
The product itself hasn't been too bad. However I have not used it past the 30 day trial.The reason for this is that I wasn't able to buy a license.After contacting LastPass support multiple times they seem to be incapable of actually reading what my problem is on the support case.They have responded to my support ticket with answers which can not be the case as I have not been able to input my billing address or card details. Even the support person I spoke to was unable to update my billing address details.Since then I have been told multiple times that the problem is due to my card being declined (despite the fact I cannot actually enter my card details) and have also been told that their payment provider has flagged me for being a sanctioned person or in a country on a sanctions list.This companies support is absolutely terrible and after seeing the other reviews of poor support here I am going to give up and try another application.
I closed my LastPass account early in 2024 because my virtual assistant couldn't access my accounts on her end, despite contacting customer service several times. Now that it is 2025 I am now receiving emails, 2 since New Year, stating that they are unable to bill me. Why would you be billing me if I closed the account and received notification that I would not be billed.
Who made this god awful piece of software?For those who'd love to read me email:Greetings, Last Pass Support,Why do you make it so god damn difficult for me to delete my LastPass account? I need to jump through so many hoops to even find the tiniest indication of a deletion method, only to be sincerely disappointed by a malfunctioning web page. I just want a simple method to delete my [REDACTED] account, is that too much to ask for? Not only that, but I don't want to log in into the awful dashboard once again because I can't be asked to download that stupid authenticator app once more. I have been using Lastpass (paid) for 6-7 years at least, both on Windows & Android.It used to be good, but it's worsening, especially since the UI change. There are a lot more bugs than it used to have. The customer support is abysmal. From a security perspective, it is still good, but it is time to look for an alternative.
