It took a while, but the update to version 4.139.5 solved the problem of excessive CPU usage by the LastPass extension in Chrome. Now I can once again say with full conviction: great password manager and autofill tool, with flawless synchronisation between all my devices, both desktop and mobile.I can no longer do without it.
I'm sure that I messed up my password, I think... I tried to reset it and apparently failed. The next option was to reset the account to my previous password with the understanding that I would lose all data from that point. That didn't work for me. either so I opted for the reset the account with my last password which meant everything would be lost and I would have to re-enter all of my data from that point in time.The worst thing was the lack of communication. Customer Support would send me a message after Midnight and then go dormant for 24 hrs. The Process started with a request from me on 2/17with me giving up on 3/1. I asked repeatedly for someone to call me with no response!I give up!
Avoid. They make it impossible to cancel your subscription, no support, evasive with any contact details. Even the one message I did receive from a human was full of typos and did nothing, this company is not reputable. They continue to charge my card despite cancelling and eventually deleting my account. On cancellation they cheekily sent me a Customer Success email which happens to include hidden in this email that I still have a subscription received only after deleting my account which I can now not cancel because I have no account to enter to cancel and its a no respond email with no way to contact. For a company should pride itself on trust with people passwords its very fundamentals of managing subscriptions, customers and charging cards is horrendous. Avoid. Avoid. Avoid.
Unbelievable. My autopay credit card was hacked. I have tried incessantly to access my account. I changed the payment method and still no results. Customer service is a job and completely AI that is incompetent.Don't try to reach a human, they do not exist.Why would e believe this business is safe to hold our Passwords?
always the same.. 'you're password is incorrect'.. trying several times, even copy - paste my password and still it stays incorrect. And making a new password, it says 'it looks too much like your former one.. so the former one might be correct? And what about their disclaimer that they do not / cannot save your master password, due to privacy regulations.. How can you say then that it looks to familiar to the former one..?! This website is a disaster.
These people are CANCER for your business and stress levels. Close to the worst app I've ever used!Can someone at Lastpass please help me for God sake? I have no other way of contacting you. Read below...They might bankrupt my company, after 18 years because I can't get in to my stripe or anything else to charge my clients and pay my bills. I'm a week behind on several bills. They have locked me out of the password manager completely, I can't contact anyone unless I login, and I can't login because they refuse to send a password to my email. And I'm now locked out of the email anyway, as I'm working from another country to escape a construction.
I have used Last Pass for many years and rely on it completly. My only complaint is in situations like banks or telcos, where there are multiple passwords for the same site. It does not distinguish between the different pages, so I must guess which password to use.Lastpass have provided a solution to this problem but I am too stupid to use it.
Please do not trust LastPass. It has locked me out of my file containing all of my passwords. This would not be so bad, but the support service to address this issue is slow and is not capable of communicating in real-time as they are in the US. They also do not understand the issue or don't wish to as I use their free services, so much so that they send me links to find a solution which needs my email and password. These are the very things that don't work. They are just having a laugh at their users. My message is that if they are not resourced to support services provided, charge for the services, but I'm not convinced Lastpass would even support fee-paying customers. When I get my data, it's now going back down on paper. You cannot trust the average tech bro idiot!
I thought Last Pass was the top notch password management software when I signed up a few years ago. How wrong I was. It has been hacked several times with private data being accessed by scammers. I was logged in the system and had a Urgent Warning pop up on my screen informing me of viruses and malware on my computer. On checking the number it turned out to be a scammer claiming to be from Microsoft. Customer support is poor or non existent, even if you pay. I am deleting my account. My advice = AVOID AT ALL COST.
I have a premium subscription BUT....Got a new phone, transferred all data to new phone. Everything works except LastPass. Login with password which I just changed doesn't work. Tried to use support, completely useless. Transferred all my data manually to a new secure platform. Spent hours with that.STAY AWAY FROM LastPass. Don't waist your time
