Absolutely ridiculous. Customer support does not exist. Tech support does not exist.Fraud support does not exist.If you sign up, you'll have nothing but problems.Half of my transactions just disappeared in their merchant account. Braintree says that everything was credited to my bank account but it was not! I'm now looking for legal advice on this theft.
Great customer service, good documentation, and a well built website for merchants to manage payments and transactions. I always get a response within a day of sending them a email and the people are very helpful and knowledgable. They also check in to make sure things are going well. I highly recommend them.
This is truly the biggest joke of a company I have ever encountered.I had to spend, quite literally months, and made multiple attempts to contact Braintree to start an account.In the end, I contacted their tech support to tell them what was going on, and was surprised to get a much faster response. When sales did eventually contact me the agent, Emily, did not even bother to use my first name. She called me by my last name. Her response was largely disinterested, I just cannot believe this company operates in the modern world and thinks that their staff are doing a half decent job. They are not. Worst ever.
Beware - the worst nonexistent customer service in the history of credit card processors. Just try getting a live customer service person on the phone. Every call goes to paypal and they have no Braintree merchant processing customer service reps. None! When you have fraud on your merchant account, you just want to speak to someone who can help you on the phone, you wont be able to do that with braintree, there literally is no customer service phone number! so you should know this before signing them up for your credit card processing. Also, when you know you have a fraudulent charge and cancel the charge within hours (or even minutes) of it going through your website, you still get get charged the full processing fee, its an absolute joke and PayPal should be embarrassed to be associated with this ridiculously below standard payments processing company. to say they have any sort of customer support would be a gross overstatement.
Pursued my business for 1 year, so we integrated into our new website and had nothing but problems. Support is none existant and impossible to get through on the phones or get any sense out of the support team. Switched over to stripe. Wish I read the reviews before I started with them.
AVOID. Something is clearly very wrong at Braintree Payments (owned by PayPal). Support is almost non-existent with little to no responses on support issues. We have been waiting over two months to get any sort of response on several issues despite frequent attempts to get in contact with someone. Having been with them since April 2021 I would not recommend them and we will not be using them for any of our other businesses (our vertical is financial services and insurance). We are not a small business either.
