The technical support is terrible, our payment page Is not working and we are losing a lot of money plus customers. They don't have a technical support phone line so you only can send an email, they reply after 24 hours to ask for a single piece of information, you will need to wait another 24 hours so they can reply. Payment processing is a very serious matter for companies and the fact that they don't have a support line is terrible. switch to a different company. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH BRAINTREE!
Don’t think they deserves any star, can’t even setup account besides connecting with unreachable sales peoples. Been waiting for a phone call for 2 month, applied about 7 times online and still waiting for a contact, til today still nothing. I feel they only care about big business and not interested with my small business.
I cannot name a single company that cares less about their customers. Our company has been with Braintree for 5 years and processed several million dollars on the platform only to be asked to change partners (stop using them) or have them hold a $10k reserve for refunds - this is after they help our funds for over 2 weeks, during a pandemic where companies have been so tight on cash flow. For a "start up" to be so dismissive of long standing customer and have zero sentiments of partnerships is disappointing, frustrating, and ill intentioned. RUN, DON'T WALK, AWAY FROM THEM AS A PAYMENT PROCESSOR. HORRIBLE COMPANY.
I applied June 2020 for a Braintree account and also for a Sandbox - nor Problem we got the account after 5 days. We had to test Payment processing with Paypal and we had some problems with Braintree Paypal - Credit cards was working fine.We are building a fashion store for kids. On 13 Jan i got an email : Your account was recently flagged in an effort to verify your business model and the subsequent risk associated with yourXXXXXXXXXXX account.We provide all Paperwork they ask for and one day later Your XXXX EUR account was recently flagged in an effort to verify your business model and the subsequent risk associated with your account. During the review, we were unable to mitigate these concerns, and unfortunately, we will be closing your account on Friday, January 15th at 9 am CST.I called them and ask what else they need - NOTHING we DONT WANT YOU!RIDICULES THESE COMPANYS
I am using Braintree since 2015 as a payment processor for two of my projects:1. bodalgo.com, an online casting website2. retroplace.com, a marketplace for video gamesI am gobsmacked by all those negative reviews I have seen here because my experience with Braintree within the last five years has been nothing short of stellar.I had been using Paypal directly before and a German payment processor and regarding the API I have to say that Braintree's API was way easier to integrate, there is no doubt about that. I can not compare to other companies like Stripe etc., but I had no big issues.What's more: When I came across some hurdles, I found the technical support of Braintree very responsive.To put all this into perspective: The businesses I run process mid-six-figures a year. That's not that big, I agree, but I do not see a reason why Braintree would be less great with lower or higher numbers. Let's not forget: They are a daughter company of Paypal, so I think the resources to deal with the real big guns out there are there …Regarding collected payments, I had not one occasion where money would have been held back. Not one occasion in five years.To sum it up: I can recommend Braintree 100 percent. They are a very helpful business partner that I have been working with like a charm.
We tested our integration in Sandbox a month ago, and we are still waiting on Braintree to give us a production account. The worst thing is that there is no reply from their customer support/sales team abut expected duration to our multiple inqueries
The worst company to work with for payment processing.1) Delay in payment 2) the risk team closed our account thinking that we are related to another website with almost the same name.3) they hold your money after they close the account for 30 days, before few days from the 30 days they'll tell you that we decided to hold your money another 30 days.
