Flash Sale, was more like a flash burn.I tried for two days to order a couple of pairs of shoes from DSW Website. The website was extremally slow and in many cases simply non-responsive.I went to zappos.com, famousfootwear.com to find the shoes or similar shoes.
Was declined a return that was purchased on my debit card that has already withdraw from my account. Purchased Brooks shoes on October 16 2022, I did have my receipt when I went to return them On October 20 2022. Only wore in house. They use a company called TRE that tracks your returns ( had 3 for year). On line this company is used by DSW to track you purchases and decide when you can return based on your returns. Bottom line is I can return in 60 days according to their big brother method and have money credited back into my checking account. So buyer beware when buy-in at DSW. Nowhere is this policy posted in store, online or receipt.
The first thing that I noticed upon my visit to my local DSW, was their expansive size and bold marketing campaigns. The outside of the windows were plastered with brightly colored signs portraying their newest releases and shoes now available for the fall shopping season. As soon as I opened the double doors, I was greeted with rows among rows of shoes, laid out for every gender and occasion. A friendly associate welcomed me into the store and directed me to the women's section towards the middle of the aisles. I maneuvered my way through the excited shoppers to the women's section. During this particular visit, I was searching for a pair of boots for the upcoming fall season, as well as a pair of pretty heels for an upcoming formal event. Each pair of shoes had a sample laid out on top of the shelf, clearly exhibiting the specs of the shoes, as well as a clear price sign determining the cost, or the applicable sale price.After I chose my shoes, I headed toward the checkout counter to complete my purchase. The line was reasonably short with two customers ahead of me and four associates working the checkout stations. Smaller accessories decorated the checkout line and gave me something to admire while I patiently waited. I ended up grabbing a pair of black, tinted sunglasses since my previous pair had broken earlier that week. When I arrived at the checkout counter with my items, the female associate, Amy, kindly acknowledged me and asked about my experience at their location. When I expressed my disappointment about the boots that were not available in my size, she thoughtfully walked me through the process of finding them online and even ordering them to be shipped to the store for free shipping. After I ordered the boots with her assistance, she recommended that I create an account and become a “VIP Member” to maximize my savings. I excitedly agreed and completed my purchase with my first reward of $5! Amy also informed me about their shoe donation program to earn rewards and help the less fortunate in other countries facing poverty. Donating a pair of new or gently used shoes once a week allows me to earn 50 points at a time. Once I donate two times, or earn 100 points, I will get rewarded with $5 to use on a future purchase. I also got a $10 sign up bonus for adding my email address to my account. DSW’s reward system is so satisfying and worthwhile for frequent customers. I thanked Amy for her incredible assistance and made my way to the exit with a full bag of exhilarating purchases and a full heart. Overall, DSW’s customer service is superb and truly creates a personal connection between the customer and the representative. I would highly recommend DSW, both online or at your nearest physical location, for their wide range of shoe options, pleasant customer service, and extraordinary rewards program. My first experience with DSW was an incredible one and I will definitely be a returning customer as I shop for all of my lovely footwear needs. I appreciated the assistance that the associates were able to provide throughout my shopping experience. I am also very fond of their partnership with Shoes for Souls to give their own customers rewards, as well as donating to this incredible organization that is changing lives, one shoe at a time.
This review is for the DSW Canada site. I was nervous to place an order based on quite a few negative reviews but decided to give it a try since they were the only store that had the shoes I wanted in my size. I placed an order and it was shipped and delivered quickly. I had a question about the tracking number (it wasn’t working) and customer service got back to me very fast with an answer. Overall a positive experience.
A month ago I went to DSW at 7555 w bell rd in ARIZONA to purchase a pair of doc martins Catlyn who was he MOD was a Rude and mean I had asked her if I could try on both shoes since the box only had the left shoe in it she said “you can try on the other shoe only if you are going to purchase them!!! I said I need to try both shoes on to see if I wanted to buy them she slammed her keys down on the counter and sighed very heavy and proceeded to walk to the back to get the other boot!! I did purchase them but I will say this first I will never go to any DSW EVER AGIAN THE SERVICE WAS AweFul AND JUST RUDE AND I WILL TELL ANYONE AND EVERYONE MY EXPERIENCE ALONG WITH ALL THE SOCIAL MEDIA PLATFORMS AND IT DISGUSTS ME THAT YOU WOULD HIRE SUCH A MISERABLE PERSON TO REPRESENT THE NAME !! Good luck you will never get another dime from me :)
Always a great experience with DSW. Easy store locations here in NYC, easy online orders and pick up (great variety of all kinds of shoes for all season, bags, stockings, socks and a lot of other useful seasonal stuff near check out). Also easy returns if necessary. I always find great variety of all brands that end up being worth it (even brands by JLO & Jessica Simpson new releases on market). Last bought an Anne Klein bag as well, that turned out really beautiful at a pretty good steal I would say, looking at the nicely done finishes of the bag.
Ok! I've got to give @dsw & customer service a huge SHOUT-OUT! 🧡 I purchased these shoes (Mercanti Fiorentini) for my husband & our upcoming anniversary trip. I'm Elite & have great perks with fast shipping being just one of those perks. I enjoy shopping there as they are competitively priced & the options for the entire family are endless!! There with a shipping problem so they wouldn't arrive on time. Bummer. However! After reaching out to @dsw (awesome!) Customer Service they actually surprised me because those shoes just arrived at my home today! I mean..WOW! DSW has changed my mind & I absolutely look forward to my Elite status thru 2023! Bootie shopping here I come ✨I'm a very competitive shopper & highly recommend this company!
Purchased a pair of shoes for a wedding off of their site. The shoes ran me about 80.00. When received, they were clearly worn and the soles were ripped and disgusting. CS wanted to replace them but I am just done and initiated a refund. I will note, upon repackaging to send out - the packing slip is from their RETURNS department! No where on the webpage did it state the item would be a return or show signs of wear - I purchased a NEW pair of shoes. Super frustrating and for the price, definitely not worth repeat shopping!
Let me first say, I rarely write reviews; However DSW seriously needs some constructive criticism. I had a 2hour pickup order that I needed to change the pick up location because the store it automatically sent me to (due to my phone location?) was 40 mins away in an area we never go to. I called customer service and asked to change the store pick up and explained why. They said they couldn’t do that because my order was already being “shipped to the store” (mind you this is a 2-hour pick up order, so they should already have it AT THE STORE and there shouldn’t be any extra shipping involved). I said fine, can I cancel it and I can start a new pick up order at the location near my house. She said they couldn’t cancel it, but they can give me a discount on my next order. I said that didn’t solve my current problem of me having to drive 40 mins for an order I could get at a closer store! So wte. I said no thanks and decided to drive way out of my way for my order. I get my confirmation email a few minutes after we hung up, saying my order was ready for pick up. So the next day my husband goes to get it and the store employee said, not only is my order not ready (after I got an email saying it is), he proceeds to tell my husband IT’S NOT AT THE STORE! After my husband speaks to a manager, they finally locate 1 shoe in the correct size in the back of the store. Needless to say, we will not be shopping at DSW ever again. Their customer service is BEYOND disorganized, ridiculous, and very unhelpful. Common sense seems to be a lacking commodity at DSW.
