If I could rate this place no stars I would. It was my first time shopping here.. wanted to see what the hype was about. INSTANT REGRET. I ordered two items, and only received one. DSW VIP member huh? Anyway, I contacted customer service and some lady told me she would send me a replacement no charge. Alright, I waited and at least for a confirmation number like she said i would. That never happened. I contact them again, lady says the same thing like the other lady didn’t tell me that. But she also says she will refund me $5. I check my bank acc later that night and i have a $8 charge from DSW. At this point im fed up and don’t want anything from here anymore. I contact customer service again and he says my orders already processed and that he can’t refund me anymore and a whole bunch of crap. Now im still waiting on these shoes and REST ASSURED I will never shop here again. DO NOT SHOP HERE! CUSTOMER SERVICE SUCKS AND THEYRE LIARS.
Got coupon in mail for $30 off if you buy shoes over $49 for Aug 18-Oct 9, 2022. Drove to store. Shopped for Saucony Running shoes at $64.99At NO point is there ANY signage saying Saucony brand/model is excluded from couponNo signs in ENTIRE store. Waited in line to pay. Cashier informs me that Saucony brand is excluded for this specific coupon. Where did I see this I ask?He says the customer has to look it up for EACH coupon because it keeps changingYou have to look up EACH specific coupon. What if I don’t have a cell phone or laptop to look up exclusions?I look up specific coupon and see that a hundred brands are ALL excluded.Only a few brands will work with this coupon. So that means if I had taken 15 pairs of shoes to cash register, all the good brands would have been excluded. There is No signage telling customers what is excluded- so I wasted time trying on shoes and waiting in line and driving there to be told “ the coupon does not work”This is a case of consumer fraud. Leading consumer to believe that they can use the coupon when they literally can’t. Complete waste of time. If I could give them a zero I would. .So how is this supposed to work?? Do I have to look up the exact shoes I want at home and check the long list of excluded brands” before wasting my time to drive & shop there?? Let’s say Saucony was not excluded, then I go there and my size is not there.In the past DSW mailed me shoes when they didn’t have the right size and they got that completely WRONG too. Please be aware that DSW uses a company to track how many returns you make and if they think you have made too many in a given period of time, they will decline your return. I am a loyal customer and have spent hundreds of dollars at DSW. However, I have had lots of surgeries on my feet and have a difficult time finding comfortable shoes. I ordered two pair of sandals from DSW online and neither one of them was comfortable. I returned them to a DSW store in July. In August, I purchased a pair that I thought would work and tried them out at home. Same result, so I attempted to return them to the store. I, actually, purchased two pair of shoes, some Sketcher walking shoes and a pair of sandals. I tried both pair at home and decided to keep the Sketchers. The sandals kept slipping off my feet, so I took them back to the store. The store manager declined the return and gave me a number to call. The number was for a company called The Retail Equation. I called. They said I had been put on some sort of return suspension for 6 months and told me that I was warned on the previous receipt. The customer service agent did not bring this to my attention, and I'd like to know who reads that tiny fine print on a receipt. The agent told me there was nothing they could do. I could try a different store which I did and got the same result. So, now DSW has lost another loyal customer. No wonder Amazon is taking over the retail business.
Attention: Make sure you’re using the real DSW website at “DSW.COM”. There is a fraudulent lookalike site at “DSW.US.COM” claiming to be the “official website” that shows up in search results right next to the real one and is likely a scam. I tried reporting it but it is still up. Please be careful, don’t get scammed or let your info get stolen.
Terrible store and customer service. Ordered leather shoes, was sent shoes in nubuck, which weren’t even advertised. The store would not accept the photos being sent, responding with automated messages, refusing to cover the cost of shipping for sending the wrong product. Will never shop there again.
I bought a pair of boots for my partner as an anniversary gift in May 2022. They took a while to get to me, but I live in Alaska so that's not unusual. After gifting them we realized that he needed a bigger size, so I contacted DSW for a return shipping label. I took my package to FedEx only to be turned away because the label DSW had sent me was incorrect. I contacted customer service and was assured by the live chat agent that they would amend the error and send a new one right away. An hour later I received an email saying that they cannot process my return because of where I live.. even though they made it here just fine. After getting passed around to a few departments I finally got in touch with a supervisor who told me to use a courier service of my choosing and save the receipt. He told me to email a picture of the receipt with my order number and they would refund 100% of the cost of shipping to my original payment method. I sent that email in June and never heard anything until July when I sent another email and got an automated email response which honestly was better than nothing. But again, more radio silence followed that automated response, so I went back to the live chats got in touch with a supervisor and started another inquiry. She then proceeded to tell me that they would not be able to reimburse the shipping I had paid out of pocket in any other form than a DSW gift card. At this point, as you can imagine, I did not want to give DSW another cent let alone give them another opportunity to waste more of my time. I told her that I didn't want a gift card, I wanted my money back on my card. She said she can't process it that way and it's not until I bring up my prior conversation with the other supervisor that she says that she'll do it. But of course, it's not that simple. After all this time, I still have to call the customer service line to be transferred to the payment department to process my refund. So now that were all caught up, today its August, I have called to get in touch with the payment department twice and still have not been able to connect with anyone who can process my request.In short, go with any other shoe company go with freaking eBay. Do not spend your money here because even if they do reimburse you, you will never get back the time wasted and the stress caused.
today, 22December 2021, I ordered 3 pairs of slippers for a total of about $20 using coupon codes.Minutes later I receive an email that one of the slippers is out of stock, and now my total is $34! Becuase the order total no longer meets the threshold to use the coupon codes.Soooooo, my order went from 3 items for $20 to 2 items for $34.I am in process of cancelling the whole order.Any items I receive I will be returning for a full refund.Any charges that end up on my cc account and Paypal will be disputed.Update 2022: DSW online ordering is still junk. I ordered a pair of size 8.5 sandals. They sent me a pair of size 6 hiking boots. Immediate trip down the street to return.DSW in store is great. DSW online, Buyer Beware. It is Hit or Miss that you will receive what you ordered.
My 1st and last order 6162756465 ( 3 pairs ) Online service is totally messed up: - sending time is aprx 10 days (!)- shoes (2) are sent but the account is not updated with tracking info - received one pair of USED ( I wish I could attach the pics , it’s unbelievable) shoes without tags , no original box which didn’t even have a top part . Shoes are quite nicely used , no mistake . - received another pair with dirty bottoms, but not used ( thanks :) - could not return via my online account as could not get a return slip because the shoes were not delivered acc to the account :) - wasted time on 3 chats with agents - wasted time on delivery of shoes to the store cos couldn’t return them otherwise - at the store I had a problem with used pair of shoes to return ( what an experience) but finally I did . They don’t deserve even 1 star. I don’t know about stores but this “ designer “ store is disorganized and is not worthy of time . There are plenty of stores at the market which do so much better .
