Beware of this company - a 'security' company who act like scammers! They take money without permission and don't give it back. They took over £70 from my account, without permission, on an 'autorenewal'. When I pointed out I had no interest in their product, they refused to send the money back. Instead they got someone called David, a 'retention officer', to write and offer to cut me a deal, as if it's up to them when they take money without permission whether or not to give it back.I see I'm not the only person to have this experience. If you're running a company, think twice about working with a security company this unethical.
I didn’t like that I was charged a subscription fee for a renewal that I feel came out of nowhere. I did not have a current subscription. However, the rep did issue a refund. They said 7 business days but I got it a couple of days later which was awesome.
Auto renewed before product had expired with no warnings or reminders. Would have been nice to be given the choice. They currently have the same product on their website at half the renewal price!edit: I did not receive any emails or texts about renewal and have checked spam folders etc.
I cannot find any email address for Bitdefender, so I'm writing a review instead.I am using Bitdefender Internet Security, on a Windows 10 on a Desktop computer.1) When the product updates itself, than asks for a reboot, the Internet Security is turned off, and I get messages from Windows to turn theirs on. This is most worrying, especially because I could be out of the room for a while when this happens, leaving my computer unprotected with no internet security at all. 2) One time, Safepay itself just disappeared while I was in it, in the middle of banking! (All was OK after a re-boot but this should not have happened, surely.)3) When, as sometimes happens, the Bitdefender icon at the bottom right hand side of the screen disappears, there is no way to manually force an update via the product's main interface (for example via the desktop icon).I've never had any of these problems with any other Internet Security software over the years. My renewal is coming up in about 40 days, but it's unlikely to happen without some answers!(The date of experiences is approximate. They have occurred several times in the last few months.)
I changed from Norton 360 to Bitdefender after I tired of receiving constant promos, up-sells and reminders from Norton even after I had said "don't show me this again". Bitdefender does everything N360 does, apparently just as well (I still haven't been bitten by malware), more easily and a lot cheaper. This is now my second year of using Bitdefender, and I have no reason to change.
I had a query when I upgraded my product. I received a fast response and my query was resolved to my satisfaction. I was skeptical dealing with companies online, but I have to say, I received a fast response and to my satisfaction - 5 STARS !!!
