Review Time
This isn't my first time writing a review for Bitdefender products..I can't say enough positive things about Bitdefender..I've had their mobile security for over a year and have had zero issues, except for one or two minor issues which was resolved as quick as it began...As far as protecting your devices, there's none that performs better than Bitdefender. What I really like is Bitdefender has now added yet, another great tool to their mobile security which is the Call Block Feature...In 2 days they blocked 7 fraudulent and scam phone calls where before my carrier has always allowed the call thru to your voicemail, which is very annoying..Now Bitdefender has taken control and the only time my phone rings is when a legitimate call is coming in, I like that peace of mind..If anyone is looking to have a security/anti-virus installed on your devices that you can put your trust in, Bitdefender is that company 100%. Thank you Bitdefender for keeping our devices secure and protected!
Usability has deteriorated, prices have gone up, and overall I am sick of this. The straw to break the camel's back is the rollout of special promotional pop-ups, which can be disabled but why was this even an idea in the first place?!I've been a customer since 2021, I won't be renewing my plan.
I have been an customer for 7 years, part of this unknowingly because they set your account to auto renew. When I contacted them about me paying a lot more than first time customers they apologized and stated they want to do something about it. When I ask them to actually do something about it they over me a deal that is more expensive than some other deal I find online for the same product, and when I ask for a better solution they suddenly change direction and start blaming me for being a loyal customer that does not actively disable renewal and spends hours hunting deals every year. Seeing as they did not make this right I decided not to spent any more money on a company with this crappy a business practice and with such crappy customer service.
I have trusted Bitdefender as my total personal computer security solution for several years. I recently had to contact Customer Service for the first time. I was shocked by how friendly, knowledgeable, and fast my agent solved my issue. Bitdefender not only offers an outstanding solution, they elevated my confidence in their company with my Customer Support experience. Good job, Bitdefender!
I have had bitdefender installed for months, because as far as I can tell it is one of the best anti-malware programs out there (as you'll see this is a low bar). In the time I have had it installed admittedly I have not once tried to install or run malware so I cannot speak personally to its effectiveness at preventing it, from what I've seen it's a good coin flip, however it believes I have run malware on at least 10 separate occasions, some of which being my own scripts, some of which being any random cache it can find on my system. The rate of false positives has made it a frequent inconvenience to deal with the program and it is anything but effortless to get things back to normal after a false detection. Maybe if it had saved me from an infostealer or ransomware it would be worth the time I've spent babysitting it, but I find it hard to figure out who this is designed for when users who understand how malware works will seldom need it, and users who don't will be forced to trust it when it deletes something they were using. I cannot recommend it to be installed on a computer you actively use for more than basic and or business related activities.
