Bad Customer Service & No Technical Support Made Me Close My Accounts

I been with aweber for a long time, not only that I also referred others to use Aweber. So when I purchased a new online software, the online software wanted for me to get the user id and api secret key. Not a big issue for normal Autoresponder Services to get. Yet aweber semantics and customer care didn't want to budge nor be supportive, so they sent me back to the Software Company that I needed the Integration details for, telling me it isn't their responsibility. The other Company told me to go back to aweber and ask to open a developer account to create those details I need or have them do it for me. Aweber again didn't do either, nor where they helpful. I closed all my Accounts including my Affiliation with them and won't be going back to them for sure, no matter how much marketing they do!!!!!

Scam comapny

Using AWeber's free trial was one of the biggest mistakes in my business. They closed my account without any prior notice or warning RIGHT AFTER charging me $800 for the next month of service. Also, they will not refund you and give back your list. I tried to contact their support many times, but they block me every time. They are a SCAM company and should be sued for their unethical business practices.

They used to be decent. The days of 'sneaky billing' are no longer being tolerated. When aweber users log into their accounts a total number of subscribers are shown that causes customers to think that this is their total number of people that they will be billed for. However, aweber bilsl you for unsubscribed people too. This would be fine if they had enough integrity to display this list total along with the other list total so you know what you're paying for. They don't include this in the displayed list. We found this to be misleading and non-transparent. We asked customer service to to reverse the charges and they refused to honor an $20 discrepancy with a 5 + year customer.We started looking for other options and found several better alternatives with comparable deliverability rates and with more features, and far less money. Some of the alternatives to aweber don't even charge to 'store' lists, only for email sending. Pretty cool. We're happy to have left aweber. Companies like this will be left behind in the future by their competition, we feel. But, no hard feelings, and wish them the best. We hope they adapt their ways to become more transparent. We wrote this review to inform the public that we don't feel aweber cares about their customers and needs to be more transparent with their billing. We also wanted to let you know that we found several better alternatives. :)Response to aweber: This nice response came too late and does not reflect my dealings with customer service. If this response is authentic I feel you would have far better ratings here.

Terrible experience

Terrible experience. I regret the day I decided to try AWeber. We signed up for a free one month trial. Realized that we did not like the service and asked to cancel our account via email.Later we realized that AWeber did not cancel our account and charged us after one month. That's ok, things happen. We contacted customer support and asked for a refund. They refused to give us money back saying that they replied with some request for verification which we missed. After half an hour battle I just gave up and submitted a charge back with my bank. Customer support was not helping at all. Even when I asked to talk to a manager, they still refused to issue a refund and said they would charge me at the end of the month even if I cancel my account now. Really? O_oTo sum it up, we had lots of problems uploading our customer list from Shopify. Those few subscribers that we were able to upload, got a very bad open rate with AWeber comparing to other services. Than AWeber went completely out of integrity and refused to issue a refund ignoring our previous request to cancel the account. What a rip off. Stay away from AWeber.

Used for many years to mange my list/s.Very good site and support is great both in terms of articles and livechat. Livechat you get someone who is obviously not talking to loads of other people, and that actually understands how their product works thoroughly. If you're doing email marketing and have a list that has real value in your niche they are a very good option. Not cheap, so only for medium/higher value product marketing really. But well run and professional.

Reliable, Easy to Use, Excellent Support

Have been using them for a while and overall I'm happy with the service. In particular, it's really good they have a live chat facility on their site, so if you encounter any issues or have any questions, you can speak to someone quickly.The only downside is they count and charge you for unsubscribed/bounced email addresses as part of your subscription and they once rejected an import I did despite the list being my own and 100% opt in.Other than that, they've provided a reliable service. I've tried other providers and they're much better than the "industry leaders".

Deceitful pricing on their order page

Deceitful pricing on their order page. The order page shows a discount for quarterly and annual pricing, but it does not show the hidden monthly fee for the email subscriber list storage. It doesn't matter which amount of subscribers you choose on the pricing page, the order page will show you the pricing for only their 'email marketing & analytics' which doesn't include the hidden monthly fee.

They are a giant in this industry and …

They are a giant in this industry and deliver emails pretty good, but sometimes emails wind up in the spam folder for no good reason at all. Guess it's probably only so much they can control there. But although they're a the top of this field, there are more affordable email management options that can do an equal or better job. So my advice is not to get caught up by big names and do some research on other companies too in order t find the best most affordable solution for you.
