Disgusting underhand practice of defaulting to customer to remember to cancel the subscription which starts running at trial period. This way,, they can make sure that they get all the revenue for the trillion of us who they know won't remember to cancel amongst other life events. As they know, it would be simple for Calm to send a 7 day reminder that the sub will become due if you don't cancel. They refer you to Itunes who say you don't qualify for a refund. What a very nasty way to treat your customers both of you. Calm I hope this helps your business plummet and itunes ditto. The sooner this covert practice is made illegal the better. Shame on Calm and shame on Itunes.
This "Tamara Levitt" (reader/creator) has a quite annoying voice. They use your password (!) as your user name. Not much respect for customers' privacy and security.Too much spam and American "plastic" pushing extremist agendas and "celebrities". Really junk. Very little meditation. Clearly not worth the money. For "free" trial, they will send you a confirmation with a link to cancellation, which doesn't work on mobile version. Some will probably forget or give up because of this, and Calm can pocket 69.99 USD. - Oh, well, some people are always eager to grab some more money... Not recommended. Peace & Love. Namaste.
Hello,I received a credit card transaction from GoogleCalm on my credit card. Yet another free trial scam because I have no evidence of the App Calm, being downloaded to my phone, and its likely I uninstalled it shortly after. I have no confidence my request to Calm to refund the amount charged will be honoured. And consumers grow tired of enabling companies offering "free trial offers", licence to steal. Wherever you see free trial, run a mile. Erica
I couldn't cancel my 7 day trial and got charged $69.99 ($74.98 after tax). Apple seems unwilling to issue a refund. Calm cannot be contacted directly because they don't offer phone support and apple handles the billing entirely. Super disappointed.
Calm appears to be a scam, I was charged 20 years of 1 year membership. I've only had an iphone for maybe 10 years, and before that I never heard of calm. I did unsubscribe but now it says it's that it's going to renew on August of 2020. I called iTunes, and they couldn't cancel it or get my money back. Calm took 100's of dollars out of my bank account. I just wrote to them, so if they get back to me I will complete a new review stating that I was wrong and how I the issue was resolved. For now, I've turned off itunes payments.
