I have ordered 4 subscription Gift vouchers 6 days ago and the website said they will be sent to me via email. I have received 1 voucher so far 3 are missing!!Their Gift Card service does not work and no one is getting back to me after attempts via customer service and instagram.Yes, i have checked all my junkmail and spam folders, they simply have a problem with their gift card services and do not even care. $200 gone just like that
After having subscribed for over 10 years and really enjoying the content, I joined this last time using a voucher (from Calm), via PayPal. I can see that payments have been collected from each, yet I cannot access my Calm app for paid content. I have tried to email them at least twice and have had no reply at all. Total waste of money.
Signed up for the free version and had it on my phone for YEARS. THEN randomly charged for the premium I didn’t even have access to!! My subscription still showed I was on the basic plan even AFTER being charged!! To make it worse I didn’t use the app. It’s not calming. It’s not relaxing. Do not get scammed.
It didn't work for me - no problem, I know people for whom it has worked - but the big knockout blow came at the end of my 12-month subscription. When I had finally navigated everything and got to the point of de-registering, I was hit with a cancellation fee of £9.99. That's right: I had to PAY for the benefit of not renewing!! Scandalous or what?
Signed up for 7 day trial but used it 20 minutes then forgot about it. No big deal…then find out later I have 3 month trial because I have Ally bank…super excited, decide I’m going all in on using this app. The process to figure out how to claim 3 month trial was aggregating, and then when I finally use the code they give me they say I’m ineligible because I had previous “trial”. Go to hell, now I’m the opposite of calm. Prob would have used it for years but forget it, that’s BS
A Masterclass in Deceptive Practices Disguised as WellnessIf you’re thinking about signing up for Calm.com, consider this a warning — not a wellness tip. Beneath the soothing voices and serene backgrounds lies a company built on shady billing practices and a complete lack of accountability.Let’s start with the biggest issue: automatic annual renewals without any notice. Calm will quietly charge your card when your subscription is up — no reminder, no heads-up, no grace period. Just a surprise $70+ hit on your statement for a service you probably forgot you even had. And good luck trying to get a refund or even a response. Their customer service is painfully slow, bordering on non-existent. You're left chasing support for weeks, only to get templated responses that do nothing to solve your issue. As for the content? It's fine — but that’s about it. There’s nothing here that you can’t find for free with a 30-second Google search. Breathing exercises, ambient music, sleep stories? It’s all widely available without the sneaky charges and poor support. The wellness space is saturated with free and higher-quality alternatives that don’t leave you feeling duped.Calm’s branding may be polished, but don’t be fooled — behind the curtain is a company that counts on people forgetting, ignoring, or being too frustrated to fight a charge. If your idea of mindfulness includes being nickel-and-dimed while being ghosted by customer service, then by all means, sign up.Otherwise? Stay far, far away.
Honestly the reviews are ridiculous. They are blaming the app for their mistake of not canceling, also meditation takes time to get the gist of it. I've been using it for a year in find it extremely helpful.... I'd say I'm surprised at people but humanity never fails to blame others for their mistakes.... take it from me, if you want calmness pay the money. Your worth the investment. Is it going make everything better- probably not but like most books, it will make your life 10% better like dan Harris said ... if you don't like tamara voice, there are other teachers, secondly is it right to write a review being extremely rude and critical about someone that is just trying to help... if you been recommended mindfulness for your healing. There is plenty of other apps... no one is telling you to listen to tamara although I have always loved her voice. Very calming and sincere. Why would someone do a job for caring about people if she didn't have good intentions 😕 😒 please be self aware of what your doing to yourself and others becuase this app has actually changed my life for the better.
