I don't recommend Braintree payments.. they are not polite to speak with customer.. they do not support new business.. if you don't have "invoices proof " to send them don't waste your time contacting them.. they will ask you all your personal and business information.. even if everything is legally correct I think that they choose you for your face in the picture at the end.. they didn't give explanation of nothing.. i just received an automatic email telling me that my application was declined.. if all my information is correctly good.. i cannot think another think than discrimination..
Worse service ever and money taken from us. We are a small tour company who did take payments on our website for years using Braintree. So far we had no problems but for us it was not clear to see the payments which had to be done to us, we wrote more then one email but didn't get response. Then covid-19 came around and we had to cancel all future bookings. Because we are professional we gave all our customers the money back but shortly after Braintree blocked our account (without any notice) and we couldn't even enter it.We wrote emails and got a reply weeks later that we now have access to the account but only read mode and they gave us a bill to pay because of the refunds made. (there was still money on the way to us because it was still to be paid by them)We did disagree because they still own money belonging to us but they didn't even give a overview even after asking more then one time because we couldn't see it in the control panel not even only read mode, we couldn't do anything. We wrote emails to explain the situation but they didn't even read it because the only reply i got is that i have to pay, if not they will find other ways. That is what they told us! MAKE SURE YOU DON'T USE THIS COMPANY !!!
Braintree is a horrible service. Do not use them as your payment collector. They have a strange rules regarding the products they accept. For instance you can not sell any food supplement through their system. I am using wix and they only support Braintree and 2checkout. I am going to try 2checkout to see what happens. I dont usually write reviews but this time I had to do it. Thorarinn
I had an issue with Braintree payment gateway1. 300K transactions have around 21K difference after all transactions have check by manual and verified.2. I suggest everyone should verify their transaction details and make a report. bcoz I have a mistake in our account that means everyone is getting that error. 3. send me the below email. time and It appears that y are using the Settlement Batch Summary to reconcile and manually calculating your fees, which will not line up with what is deposited to your bank account.4. I download all settle date transaction report from Braintree and there on transaction report didn't match with there statement.5. I hope i will get clear about this issue not sure as per there customer service. Funding TimelineFunds are disbursed on the basis of settlement batches, which are inclusive of transactions that occur from 5:01 pm CST through 5:00 pm CST the following day. Once a transaction is settled, it will disburse the following business day. Depending on your bank, it takes 1-2 days for the disbursement to appear on your bank statement. Transactions that settle Monday-Thursday will disburse the following day. Transactions that settle on Friday will disburse on Monday. Lastly, transactions that settle Friday after 5:00 pm CST, Saturday, and Sunday before 5:00 pm CST will disburse on Tuesday. Please note that we settle 7 days a week, but disburse Monday-Friday. Additionally, American Express transactions take a little longer to disburse (anywhere from 3 to 5 days), although they settle according to the timeline I described above.
Using Braintree Payment gateway over 5 years on one of the my e-commerce website. Received 5 chargebacks this year so far despite using the security measures suggested by braintree. After contacting them to increase the security measure, they provided with "copy-past" answers rather than solution. As small business every single dollar counts which they don't get it. As other users said and myself as well, move to other payment gateways as this guys don't give priority to their customers. I don't give even one star but that's the lowest possible I can select.
Been using PayPal for over a decade with very large volumes of payments. Had to find an alternative due to site upgrade, so chose Braintree...Absolute nightmare. First the account was declined, then they asked for bank statements etc, then ignored for weeks. Kept emailing them, nothing. Spoke to PayPal and advised them of the issue, aid they would use their internal contacts but still nothing weeks later.Seeing the rest of the reviews on here, it looks like I've had a lucky escape. Avoid if you can.I've now setup an account with Stripe, no issues at all, all up and running in a single day.
Terrible customer service. They said they serviced our industry but didn't and they literally have no idea on what is the best solution for customers. I struggled with a number of operators over email and phone but my advice is to look for another solution as there are plenty of better ones out there and for cheaper it seems. We got a great deal from a competitor so don't waste you time with these guys.
My dev team spent several months integrating Braintree payments for Android, iOS and web. When it was finally ready, I went to switch from sandbox to production, but my account was inexplicably rejected. No reason was given for this. I tried to call sales support but their system continually redirected me to a wrong number. They ignored my emails, and each time I applied it took at least 3 business days before they rejected it again (despite promising "1 business day" for applications). My business model is perfectly standard and certainly not in any forbidden category. I think they just aren't interested in the little guy, they only care about big clients with huge volumes. That's fine, but this should be made clear upfront rather than wasting everyone's time.Eventually I just had to switch to Stripe (throwing away months of development and thousands in development costs). On Stripe I was approved in minutes, and their live support actually answers my questions. Stripe feels much more modern and the documentation is a lot better.The Braintree platform feels very tired and outdated in comparison. I feel like they're just going through the motions and not trying to innovate or improve. When I pointed out a clear bug in the iOS drop-in UI, they just said they knew about it but wouldn't fix it. I found the whole experience to be highly unpleasant, and would discourage anyone from using Braintree.
