We have ongoing issues with Braintree after fradulent chargebacks! The fraud was NOT DETECTED under Braintree w/ Kount even with all settings on! They want to take money to resolve a customer dispute over a payment when they failed as the processor to detect this. Never had an issue with other payment processors so far until this company AKA PAYPAL. This company only cares about sending emails not actioning any requests for their customers. NEVER use this company they are hopeless.
We have recently taken over a restaraunt and have had ongoing issues with Braintree. We cannot access our Braintree account and our emails keep going to previous owner. We have sent endless emails to get access to our account and we just keep getting emails back to say are we happy with the service. What service a big fat Zero. They want to take money to resolve a customer dispute over a payment and keep telling us to go into console on app which is impossible if we can't get into it. If you have the option to use anyone else other than Braintree for your services that would be much better for you. This company only cares about sending emails not actioning any requests for their customers.Never use this company they are hopeless.
This is an awful company, and I would recommend you look elsewhere. I applied for an account, as I thought is was an online payment company. I supplied a lot of personal data and evidence in order to open my account.However, they declined my application without reason. I then made a request under GDPR to erase all my personal data relating to my application, as I had never actually been a customer with them. They refused my request, and claimed they were required by law to keep all data for 10 years, under the financial regulations.No company should be allowed to ask for so much information to open an account, decline it without reason and then refuse to delete the data it collected.I believe this company is only interested in larger companies, and have no interest in the smaller ones. So my advice is to look elsewhere and not bother with this company.
Anytime you do not see your processing revenue deposit, Braintree has your account on hold. They are investigating whether your account is too high risk, you are fraud, or there is fraud happening on your account. Braintree does have the ability to hold your funds for at least 180 days if they feel like they need to. Braintree does not go above and beyond but rather they do the bare minimum to make their merchant's happy. Your risk case is done when an individual thinks it is. This could be impacted by their mood that day. If they tell you the analyst that is working the risk case is in the meeting, that is a lie. The analyst would rather communicate with you through email because phones are annoying to them. If you ask for a manager, chances are it is the analyst right next to them because the managers feel like they do not have to take calls. Ugh please stay away from this company.
DO NOT SIGN UP TO THIS COMPANY. IT HAS MORE TO DO WITH JUST NOT BEING "APPROVED". WE WERE, AND WISH WE HADN'T. WE'VE BEEN RECEIVING PAYMENTS IN USD, AND WERE TOLD THAT THE DEFAULT CURRENCY OF OUR ACCOUNT IS USD. HOWEVER, WHEN IT CAME TO BEING SETTLED, BRAINTREE (JUST LIKE PAYPAL) FORCED ON US A CURRENCY CONVERSION, SO THEY COULD ADD ANOTHER 5% FEE TO THE ALREADY HIGH PROCESSING FEES. JUST LIKE PAYPAL, WHICH OWN BRAINTREE, THEY USE CONVERSION FEES (WHICH THEY FORCE ON PEOPLE WITH NO REASON) TO JACK UP THEIR TOTAL BOTTOM LINE. We are processing USD and get settled in USD by another processor (ECOMMPAY), which we reverted to using. Also 2Checkout, have no problem receiving USD and settling in USD. PayPal/Braintree lie to their customers and say that they do this conversion for "regulation reasons", but these are utter lies. If you had any issues with them, look up on Facebook for "PayPal / Braintree currency conversion lawsuit" and join the conversation.
Braintree declined my application. I have built i complete integration with the Braintree API for my SAAS but when everything finished the Braintree refused my application without any reason. I waste a lot of time. They accept only companies with high volume and teams. Stripe is better solution!
I'm using it in production but i need to switch to something more professional:- high failed transactions rate- hosted fields sometimes won't work- today i get a timeout for over 1 hour on creating transaction using their api (no transaction were made in that time).- absolutely no rapid support, no phone, no account manager- very high cost for dispute, if you transactions are below 10$ avoid it, cost less the refound even if you are right+ one of the cheapest fee on webConclusion: after years working with BT i read the others review and i understood that the problem it isn't my feeling with that platform.
Been using Braintree for about 5 years. It's great for multi currency and has a smooth integration. I like the interface for customers to choose between credit card versus PayPal. You need a geek to install it correctly and do plenty of testing before lauching, thankfully I have an awesome geek.
Horrible.The reviews do not lie, the responsiveness from the company is terrible, they rejected our company after doing ""research"" which determined that our business was risky for them.I wonder who did such research, we have cooperated with businesses for years now and are about to launch a B2C model in which braintree was required to accept paypal payments. We have also been using Paypal for years with absolutely zero problems other than one limitation that occurred after receiving over $15k.I was already skeptical due to the reviews that are found on trustpilot, however, our experience proved them right.
