BBC news app is useless

The new BBC app is useless, all customised news has gone, need to scroll and scroll to find anything. Who the hell made this decision? Terrible App, it used to be brilliant and you've destroyed it. Definitely uninstalling it after many years of daily use. Unbelievable

Review of lego

Do LEGO ever acknowledge the problems?I’ve added this commentary with 3 stars…

I’ve added this commentary with 3 stars as an opportunity for Lego to respond. I’ll explain: when reading through the Trustpilot reviews, not once have I seen Lego acknowledge the problem from any contributor. Usually with reviews / feedback, you may see a follow up from the organisation stating “We are sorry to hear…..”etc. This is simply not the case with Lego. There is no acknowledgment to the individual posting the review at all. Why is this? Is it arrogance in their belief they are above criticism? Do they perceive reviewers as ‘troublesome’ ? Or - do they genuinely not give a damn? Please let me know your thoughts. I did enjoy watching the article on YouTube showing how Lego stole the original idea from Kiddicraft in the 40’s then bought them out in the 80’s to cleanse their guilt. Anyway, I’ll monitor this to see if anything changes with reference to Lego actually acknowledging the issues people have on this platform. Thanks for reading. I thought I would email LEGO directly asking them this question. Using the details given at the bottom of the Trustpilot page. This is the response:Invalid AddressTrust-aghasdoes not appear to be a valid email address. Do you want to send itorganianyway?I’ll leave that with you dear reader.

Review of kickstarter

Title: Kickstarter supports scams

“I funded a project that turned out to be a million dollar scam and Kickstarter won’t do anything or answer for us as users, on the contrary. The project was ERGOPLAX: The 15-in-1 Smart Ergonomic Sit and Stand Desk.I tried many times to ask for kickstarter to do something or declare the project a scam but they never did. Some of the backers got to ask for a chargeback on their credit cards with their bank but Kickstarter disputed the payment saying that “this is the risk of supporting projects on their site.”There's no chance of success in a lawsuit. We all gave money to the campaign and ticked the box acknowledging we might not get a reward, so we don't have a contract with anybody. That's why we backers need KickStarter to be more proactive in vetting Creators and monitoring campaigns, and feeding back directly to backers when appropriate, which they don’t do.Please beware if you are going to fund something on Kickstarter, because if it turns out to be a scam, then there’s nothing you’ll be able to do to get your money back.”

Review of cisco

TAC is done

TAC outsourcing a few years ago, then the exodus in January has crippled their support organization. TAC is essentially gone at this point at a Sev3 level, the only way to get support right now is to go Sev2. Sev3 = no response, even after requeues and multiple days of waiting. They've destroyed their licensing, again. Licensing has been a complete mess since they stopped generating PAK files, now the current standard is to allow a Cisco device to talk directly to the Internet to validate it's licensing before it loses features; or use their on-prem server that will either support 16 code, or 17 code. NOT both, they will not support both - and each version ONLY supports different licensing methods on the device. Licensing BU has lost their mind, customers can't upgrade all sites in 90 days (before features stop working) when they're running locations that are 24/7 and only have outage windows once or twice a year.Cisco unfortunately bought a promising SDWAN company a few years ago (Viptela), and has once again proven that they cannot integrate products. They've promised integration with their existing 4K, and ASR1K lines but have failed to deliver on the most simple features (we're talking DNS resolution and AAA working). Now, with that said some features work when you're using their "CLI" templates, and some features that don't work here will work on their "Feature" templates. But they will not work together, you get to pick one feature that will work. For the GUI interface, they've simply rebranded the logo - fine if you can only use the hardware and software that the original vendor used, everything works - then added a new "CLI" template option to assist with using Cisco's hardware and software. They then shoved poorly executed code into IOS-XE to attempt to achieve what the acquired vendor did, to allow existing customers to utilize their Cisco gear to achieve the same performance, features, and stability, as the Viptela. They failed, miserably. Cisco has again, given another generation a reason to stay away from their shenanigans. Cisco should have either fixed "IWAN", or told customers to buy new gear, end of story. How the great have fallen...once the best support in the industry has become one of the worst in less than 24 months. Cisco's acquisitions were at one point a reason to bring some praise and some products to follow. Maybe decades ago I guess...most large acquisitions since Sourcefire have failed in a bottom line impacting way for reason. (Let me know if anyone is running FPD over Checkpoint or Palo, they've never done a vendor bake-off). Cisco, if you don't get your crap together, the downward spiral of losing market share will not end.

Review of hp

Never again with HP

After many years of using DEll I purchased a HP laptop. Within 3 months the charger stop working. I check the lead in other sockets and charge the fuse. Still nothing.I contacted HP support and after 6 weeks, an online check they sent me only the plug cable. Which I showed them online it was not at flout it was the transformer. So some 6 to 8 weeks later still no cable and all I get is we are souring it as its out of stock.Bearring inmind I cannot use an alternative charger as this will invalidate my warranty. Tell me how to continue day ti day business. The service is so bad no contact no updates no nothing.Tbh it's all furry coat and no nickers approach. You can have the best laptop but if you can't use it it's rubbish. I will honestly never buy a HP again. Just due to the service. This is my experience only.RegardsShafiq

Review of braintreepayments

Reliable & responsive

I am using Braintree since 2015 as a payment processor for two of my projects:1. bodalgo.com, an online casting website2. retroplace.com, a marketplace for video gamesI am gobsmacked by all those negative reviews I have seen here because my experience with Braintree within the last five years has been nothing short of stellar.I had been using Paypal directly before and a German payment processor and regarding the API I have to say that Braintree's API was way easier to integrate, there is no doubt about that. I can not compare to other companies like Stripe etc., but I had no big issues. What's more: When I came across some hurdles, I found the technical support of Braintree very responsive. To put all this into perspective: The businesses I run process mid-six-figures a year. That's not that big, I agree, but I do not see a reason why Braintree would be less great with lower or higher numbers. Let's not forget: They are a daughter company of Paypal, so I think the resources to deal with the real big guns out there are there …Regarding collected payments, I had not one occasion where money would have been held back. Not one occasion in five years. To sum it up: I can recommend Braintree 100 percent. They are a very helpful business partner that I have been working with like a charm.

Review of Bing

A joke for a search engine

A joke for a search engine. Search results are vastly inferior to other search engines. It is invasive - replacing Google searches for Bing searches without my instruction and back to the old problem of inferior search results. I have tried everything to get rid of it but it persists.
