Purchased a game digitally on the xbox console the code I had would not work gave the code that was sent to me to the xbox customer service rep put me on hold for 3 minutes came back and said sorry nothing I could do I need to contact game manufacture This was an absolute waste of my time So someone has $63 of my money and I can't even play the game that I purchased looks like playstation 4 here I come

bad the good the ugly

bad yet good had bad times with xbox support i'd give a 2 star most the time i love my xbox and love the console its my life at times helps me relax once they did double charge me for a game I got off their store one time they refused me a refund i had to call my bank to contacted xbox to get the refund and they refused the first 4 times but they did once a manager from my banks call center called and told xbox to release the funds back to my bank account they did in the end. xbox live loves to go down for 1 to 2 weeks every year for a paid service downside but upside the community is amazing met so many people and the deals are very sweet

My Whole Perspective On Xbox's Virtual Agent Has Changed! GOLD MEMBERSHIP REFUND

INTROSo today I was charged £14.99 for my Xbox Live 3 months gold membership by Microsoft and I wanted to cancel my subscription with them and get my refund. I saw that it was still pending and that I could cancel my subscription, however it did not mention anything about refund. So I contacted the virtual agent so see if they could solve the problem I was facing... to my surprise the special agent did solve my problem!MY EXPERIENCEThis morning I woke up with a PayPal email saying that I sent £14.99 to Microsoft, I figure this was the 3 months gold membership renewal. Funnier enough it was indeed, I was not happy about this because I didn't expect to get charged at this day. So I tried to find ways to cancel my subscription and get a full refund, the only problem was, I couldn't find the option to get a refund, not even in my order history.What I ended up doing was having a live chat with a tech representative to help me with my issue. It did not even take me a minute to get in contact with one, Darwin S was the professional that helped solved my problem. Right off the beginning he was very open and was keen to help me with my issue. The thing is after seeing some negative reviews about Xbox from the web, people saying Xbox didn't help them at all and that they have a terrible customer service, I kind of disregarded the kindness of Darwin when he asked me how my day was, by jumping straight to what my problem was '...I want my refund'. To my surprise his response about me getting my refund and to cancel my gold membership was a positive '...I will exhaust all my resources to help you with this'.I'm very impressed on how he managed to do this, starting off by confirming my ownership of my account through my name and gamer tag, but also the use of his language when he spoke to me. What I mean by language was that Darwin wasn't afraid to call me 'mate', write ' :) ' and even 'hahaha' in his texts. This certainly made me feel like I was chatting to a friend and that's the brilliant thing about the service I had, unlike other companies I spoke to through live chats where they're all so serious, Darwin on the other hand even said it himself that 'You should enjoy while helping', and we definitely felt joy speaking to each other whilst he was helping me in the same time. The best part was that I said to Darwin that I sometimes don't always stay a gold membership throughout the years of being on Xbox (since 2012) and his response 'That's okay, we welcome you with open arms. You are part of our family! :)', that to me is very heartwarming coming from a virtual customer service tech. I'm really impressed.CONCLUSIONSo to finish this review, I have to admit, my experience with getting my refund from Xbox through the live chat was incredible. Darwin was very helpful, we had some good laughs and had a common interest in language. I got what I came for and he also got a favour done in return for his help to me, that was to give him an honest feedback for the survey after the chat, and I can tell you now this entire review on TrustPilot is my another honest feedback after the live chat with Darwin. I didn't have to write all this down here, I could have just left my feedback to the survey I was given right after the chat, but because I really appreciated the help I got, I decided to tell you my story here.Thanks for reading, please thumbs up this review if you found it helpful too.

At this time microsofts Xbox One is not the best console at the market. Exclusiv titles like Grand Turismo and Uncharted arent playable at the Xbox. The next time i overthink this...

account being hacked in real time Xbox customer service couldnt care

i was currently in the 4th QTR on Madden when a message from an unknown user name popped up. the message was telling me that my Fortnite account is very nice.so I naturally asked excuse me?to the reply your fortnite account is LIT. confused again i responded with Sorry i don't follow.this user then proceeded to give me my email address, password, and First name and told me that on this occasion he feels like being nice and wont fully hack me. but i should change my password as there are a lot of bad people out there (not him of course)naturally i called Xbox Customer service straight away to report the user and the activity as we all know that with those details he has all my card detailsaddress detailsfull nameall the info required to make accounts on sites like amazon and spend my money or worse. in speaking with customer service i was simply asked to change my password (baring in mind the user already has the email address so my password change will just notify him) and i can report his message and quote "i think that will be enough and the other team should investigate"i then tried to explain the severity of this and the fact the agent didn't even once ask for the users username or any kind of details about the "hacker" after me highlighting the security risk and this is more that just games and xbox'sthe advisor showed no compassion at all and didn't fully grasp the situation. when i asked to speak to someone higher they became very belligerent and refused stating there are no managers, supervisors or team leaders on site. when i then asked for a call back i was denied this. also was advised to set up a new Microsoft account , even though again i tried to explain all my brought content through xbox is digital so i would lose all access to this which is in the £1000's (14 year live member)i cant even begin to comprehend this service as i think they are missing the core issue here, my personal details including my home address where my 3 year old also lives is in the hands of an unknown person. at the end of the call i have no direction and i have no idea what to do and who to turn to. i have backed Microsoft and XBOX forever but now.. and in the day and age of GDPR... this is not the best experience****update 2nd call (I called back)****I have been told that they cant move or transfer my account for safety.. and if I report my account and the enforcement team don't deem I have been hacked my account will get shut down indefinitely.so my options are Wait to get compromised and then fight with themor report it and if they deem nothing is wrong lose 14 years of purchase and payments.

5 days to reset a password. scam company

5 days to reset a password. 6 emails and 7 calls. they said we need to start again. foreign agents you cannot understand. when I asked for a supervisor I got yelled at in some foreign language and told goodbye.They hung up on me and began making prank calls to my number over and over as the x box number came up on my phone they were laughing in the background. disgusting loser company. this is a model of what NOT to do as a business. avoid this company

Good service were able to quickly help me with my console issues and it was working again within 10 minutes. Great service.

Very good consoles

Very good consoles, built to last. Xbox 360 lasted 4 years without an issue, and Xbox one has lasted without an issue for 2 and a half years. Xbox original from 7 years ago also still works. Never had the red ring of death. Games are expensive though I have to say, but you can often find codes through online gaming sites to get certain games cheaper.

DO NOT BUY an XBOX - MINE DIED and Microsoft Couldn't give a toss

Microsoft should stick to making bad software and leave hardware alone. DO NOT BUY AN XBOX. The one I bought my son died (won't power up) 13 months after I bought it. So no Warranty Cover. Contacted their gormless idiots helpdesk and went through a few pointless trouble shooting steps then they suggested I take it to a Microsoft Shop - THEY DONT HAVE ANY IN THE UK - You'd think the idiot would know that.I'm so angry because even the repair shops say it's a fault on the Motherboard and not the external power block. About £350 in Xbox and Xbox games down the drain. DO NOT BUY THIS PIECE OF JUNK - I have already lost them at least five sales by getting friends and family to buy other, more reliable consoles made by proper console manufacturers

Avoid!

The xbox games are good - very disappointed as it won't play 4k movies (and the software to do so is very poor). It was one of the main reason i got it, so feel conned. Also microsoft user experience around accounts and family settings is terrible. In summary get a PS4! Avoid microsoft..
