They are scammers. Coupons don't work, everything seems to be excluded from the discount they are a horrible company. They are the next to close up shop. Dsw is a💩 show. Ordered boots waited 3 day for an update. The email I get sorry for the inconvenience but your order is delayed. The staff excuse no longer works. 10 days for an order ......
I bought 2 pair of shoes online my card was debited 133.42 on May 30. On June 1 my card was debited 64.04 and 133.42 again! I had to have my bank reverse the 133.42. I just found out my shoes shipped separately so the 64.04 debit is correct I'm to get another debit for 69.38 but I still have a pending hold on my account for 133.42! I buy online all the time and have never experienced anything like this. I will not use DSW again
I have a gift card that I got from my employer for DSW. I have stopped by several times to include today. I finally saw a pair of Van's that I really liked. I went to try them on but there was one of those electronic devices on the shoes that had been locked over the laces. I couldn't try them on because the top of the shoe would not open enough to try them on. Well, if you have a theft problem then you are safe. You didn't, however, get a sale! I will choose a different store the next time my employer offers a gift card.
Their coupon system is either a scam or programmed by developers who should find another career. I was trying to buy something for Mother's day and my wife pointed out shoes she wanted and a coupon code she'd like to use (I hate coupons, but they make her happy, so..). Entered the Mother's Day code, said the order didn't qualify. My wife said no problem, she has another code, great - enter it: sorry, can't be combined with another offer (the one I didn't qualify for apparently). Crap, so it didn't drop the one that didn't work. No problem, incognito mode, recreated the basket, applied the new coupon - sorry, already used. Geez, do it right or don't do it at all. I actually paid full price and just said I got the discount to make her happy - we share all finances so it wasn't like I was being cheap, she just didn't want them for full price.
I bought a pair of slip-on shoes which, while the correct size, had such a narrow opening that getting them on my feet was nearly impossible. I returned them in pristine condition (including the box) and received a refund that was less than I had paid. When I contacted them, it turned out they charge an $8.50 fee for returns. DSW clearly doesn't really stand by what they sell.
Do NOT order from DSW. There is no notification system in place to let you know if, when or how you will ever receive your order. Once you get the confirmation of your online order, that is the last you hear from them. Customer Service is non existing. They simply 'read' their replies to your questions.
