I never leave bad reviews; this one warrants it

I rarely leave reviews and usually when I do it's to rave about how great a company is. I have never in my life had to write a bad review; let alone one that I genuinely believe everyone else should read. Amex used to be worth it for the premium card fees, and the benefits the card provides, especially the customer service experience. Frankly the recent hike in card fee isn't a deal breaker as they did increase benefits. What is a deal breaker is the most ludicrous policy I've ever had to experience as part of their dining credit that runes on a yearly renewal (Jan 1st to Dec 31st of each year) and not on your card renewal cycle resulting in if you cancel early the $200 credit being clawed back. The most insane policy I've ever had to experience. I cancelled my card and my other cards.

Amazon very bad company

Returned a mobile phone because the one delivered was not a UK specification one but an American Specification. This means no UK warranty and apps like Samsung Pay won't work. Returned 31st March still not received refund. Refund estimate upto 29th May. This is just not good enough regardless of any reason. Customer Services based in India with poor command of English language. No help they just give a reply read from a script. Amazon really bad company to use now so I won't be using them again. I will instead use Ebay which is far superior and you get refunds within days.

Don't Expect Warranty Repair for Free.

Asus continuing to prove that they are the worst company to buy technology from. I sent my laptop in for repair, after being told that I would be covered under fully warranty. I sent it in for a broken charger port and then the laptop booting straight into BIOS because it couldn't detect the hard drive. I had to pay for shipping there, and am expected to pay for shipping back. I waited two weeks for any sort of update after being told 24-48 hours, only for them to finally send something 3 days before my warranty expires. To tell me that I'm not being covered due to Customer Induced Damage (CID). The quote I was sent is for $292.82 for cosmetic damage for a crack in the monitor casing, some scratches on the keys, a pockmark on the touchpad and a crack in the side. What looks like burn marks on the inside and the edge of a torn up piece of tape. Calling customer service, they told me there was liquid damage in it, which I know is not possible because I made sure to be extremely careful not to even let liquid NEAR my laptop after damage to a prior laptop. And a Geek Squad friend says that these last two listed ones are likely due to wear and tear and an overheating heat sink that probably needs to be replaced.I sent it in for a broken charger port and a hard drive that gave out and am being quoted nearly $300. Both these parts themselves aren't even close to costing that much. It's an outrageous amount to charge that I shouldn't even be charged for in the first place.

TWILIO COMPLETE LACK OF "CUSTOMER SERVICE" MAKES THEM THE WORST IN THE BUSINESS.

I chose 1 star because NO stars was not available. Twilio's "customer service" is by far the WORST I have EVER experienced. Horror show! My name is Kelly at 207-838-4542. I own and operate USAnswer Inc. A live 24/7 answering, transferring, messaging service. We have used Twilio for our texting service for many years. We've always been big fans and were planning to move our 8x8 Virtual Contact Center over to Twilio's FLEX platform. However in the light of their pathetic nonexistent "customer service" or complete lack thereof, there is NO WAY we would consider it. Our Twilio texting service went down 2 weeks ago and have lost business because of it. To this day all we're gotten are robotic boilerplate responses that offer -ZERO to address our problem. 2 weeks NOTHING. The TWILIO guy who we were dealing with on the FLEX matter said he has no contact w/ the customer service division but it might be that we're too small to get personal service. If this is true they should be run out of business. A total DISGRACE!

They can’t be serious

I ordered a couch in September. I received an email on 10/3/24, 10/30/24 and 11/28/24 saying there was a “delay” and an apology and option to cancel the order. It is now 1/3/25 and the website NOW says there is a “back order”. My estimated delivery date has been pushed multiple times and it is now 1/25 -1/28 AND THEY WON’T CANCEL AND REFUND MY PURCHASE?!? Apparently it is too far along in the process haha are you kidding me?! I have the option to return it once it arrives which will probably be another 4 months from now. This is an ABSOLUTE JOKE. I honestly can’t believe they are allowed to operate like this?

Items in my online order were too small. I reached out to the customer service team to request a return or exchange of the items my emails were not replied to so I had to contact support via their site. Upon finally reaching someone in the customer service team I was advised they do not accept returns or exchanges unless items are faulty. Very disappointed as everywhere else I order from allows returns and exchanges if items are not the right size. Would be great if the site could start accepting returns and exchanges.

You will never get any real support from Shopify. The so called support agents cut and paste their responses and just keep blaming customers for its technical issues. Shopify is all in for its shareholders and it could care less about its actual customers. This will not be successful in the near term. It's maddening.

Dodgy financial practices

I paid £160 using PayPal for a padel racket. PayPal took the money from my account but are refusing to pass it on to the supplier. They say they are running "security checks"I asked them to refund me the money and cancel the transaction so I could buy the racket with my credit card and get security that way. They refused.They have had £160 of my money in their account now since 1st June, presumably earning them interest along with money from other customers who are having the same problem I will NEVER use them again and recommend everyone else avoids them too.Despicable

IHG has terrible customer service

IHG has terrible customer service ! I have reach out to them a few times over issues I had at their locations and each time they are of no assistance . My last stay at one of their locations my room was dirty , moldy caulking in the bathroom , hairs from the previous guest , broken light fixture , stains on the wall . To top it all off I also had the tailgate stolen off my truck while parked directly in front of their building . The property did absolutely nothing about it , not even point compensation nor did IHG . They choose not to monitor their parking lot with security or even cameras even though thefts have happened to other guest ( found out by reading property reviews ) In fact IHG told me there was nothing they could do and advised me to work it out with the property . I also have a few messages out to IHG that received no reply at all . I have also left a couple of reviews about my experience through the IHG website and noticed that they have refused to post them as they only post positive reviews . I have contacted IHG support on four different occasions asking why they have failed to post my reviews and have not received a response . I hold spire elite status with IHG and am shocked at their lack of professionalism and customer service . It is very clear IHG is very dishonest and do not care about their customers . Even as a spire elite member I will be closing my account and not traveling with IHG anymore .

Good software really poor support

Transfers seem to work okay. Where this falls down is the fact that when you doing work requiring a transfer and need support sending emails that don't get responded to undermines the other obvious benefits. When will IT companies realise that great software alone does not make a great product without great support services.UPDATEthis reply is typical. It reads well, right, but the link provided is to a bot!!!! Then a form to fill in. Good customers service is not replying to a forum to give the impression you care whilst leaving your customer stranded, it's picking the phone up, calling the customer, apologising and fixing the issue. REALLY POOR CUSTOMER SUPPORT

Most likely my Christmas presents won’t arrive in time now. I wish I could cancel the order but it is not possible either. Can’t believe it is happening with rather expensive brand...

Do not waste your money!

Working with Thumbtack Pro was a thoroughly disappointing experience. After signing up with Thumbtack Pro, I can honestly say I have had a terrible experience and do not recommend them for other service providers. Not only are their services extremely expensive, the customer service is below par and the leads provided were of extremely poor quality. Hold times for a customer service representative are well over forty five minutes. Customer service is outsourced and escalating to management does nothing additional but get you a prefabricated email. In addition to the fake leads that come through, I was particularly shocked by their refusal to refund any of the funds paid for their services even after repeated requests. In my opinion, this company does not deserve anyone's time or money and I cannot recommend them in good faith. For these reasons, as well as many others, I do not recommend Thumbtack Pro.
