Just like everyone else here but I have literally never been on their page but somehow they got a hold of my card and charged it for $399… these people need to be charged for fraud. I don’t think any scammer (not involved with Calm) would say “I know what I should do with this scammed card number, I should buy a lifetime membership to Calm.com”… not. Has to be inside scam from someone involved with Calm.
I never signed up for calm.com, or even heard of them. Yet they (Calm.com according to my bank) have charged my credit card the times today for $399.99. I had to cancel the card and the $1200 is out of my account until the bank finalizes the fraud complaint. There is no phone number to call on the Calm.com site, and you can’t use the chat feature without signing up. Seems like a total scam to me.
Great content for all sorts of different situations.Sleep stories, daily meditation to try and develop the habit plus targeted programmes for things like stress, anxiety and pain management have all been valuable to me.It costs but I find the annual subscription totally worth it.
Should of known better. Have been stung in the past but their advertising said 2.99 a month. I remembered the date and they took 70 dollars out of my account.What makes it really awful, well horrendous really, is the name "calm" Made me anything but calm .It's American of course, with heavy accents! And praying on vulnerable people! Furious. Am going to all media outlets asking them to warn people about these dodgy apps! If you have paid by PayPal they will refund you
I really enjoy calm app. One thing they could improve is making it possible to curate your own playlist for sleep stories. Otherwise - this works v well for me. Listening to gentle spoken word stories helps to calm a busy mind - and the habit of listening to a story defo helps going to sleep.
Cancelled my free trail and they have charged me £39.99 !! I'm absolutely fuming as this was my bill money.I have now had to get a loan to cover my bills.They refuse to respond to any messages and there isn't any other way to contact them.Will be opening up a fraudulent claim with my bank.AVOID
It is the ultimate irony that this company is called Calm. Read the reviews. You subscribe, your account is blocked, they ignore your email requests to unblock or refund. Avoid them and if you have subscribed, cancel. There are plenty of good alternative mindfulness and meditation services out there.
Tamara Levitt’s voice is not calming at all… there is not much content for anger management, they are aware of problems but they don’t fix it…the app needs to be updated more often. I bought a lifetime subscription, but the old one is still active and I will get charged every year…
I paid £17.99 in March. I thought it was for one year but just looked at my account as I was going to delete the app. I now realise that I’d set up a subscription and next March they would have taken €70.00. Calm didn’t work for me anyway. I wanted to try it as I never sleep when I’m away from home and sometimes I’m restless at home. I tried various elements of it but I realised that I need silence to sleep. Any noise, disturbs me. So I’ve wasted £17.99 but so glad I stopped the subscription before they took €69.99 as I wouldn’t have been Calm then ☹️ .
