I want to help others decide

I want to help others decide. So I had a brand new laptop and it stop working and when I contacted dell the option was to send it in and pay over $200. I told them thats about the price I paid for it then tried to get me to buy a new one when my laptop was under warranty. The beeping never stopped and I never bought from dell again. Just found he dead weight I mean paper weight and about to throw it out. Dell Inspiron M5030 crazy part I had it for about a few months before it started to act weird with beeping. That was the most disappointing experience ever. My friend tried to fix it and ended up ripping the power button strip out. I’m sure they have change at least I hope.

Bricked laptop after 3 weeks of ownership, no support.

My laptop bricked 3 weeks after getting it. I'm on my 14th call with support now and have been on hold for 40 minutes. Overall, coordinating an on-site technician visit has taken over 12 hours of call time, and they still won't send someone out to take a look (convinced that it can be fixed over the phone). The number of repeated "tests" I've been put through is hilarious, I have to go through the same 45-min script every time I call in because they aren't hiring actual tech support employees, they're outsourcing to call centers in India with employees that know nothing about computers. Every single support technician requests the exact same information and claim that they're putting it in a support ticket, but the tickets are never referenced on subsequent calls. Buying from Dell has by far been the worst customer service experience I've ever had.

I have a broken all in one desktop…

I have a broken all in one desktop computer from best buy bought 2019. It fell off the stand not properly secure. Went to best buy they could not fix, went to a repair shop said DELL hard to deal with for parts get part and they will fix. I called Dell spoke to two different people - and emailed info to these two people. NEVER got return calls emails yet to be solved. HAVE not been able to order part to fix this computer.Dell office in Toronto but can't speak to someone in Toronto where I live to solve this you get sent to Call Centres. I have receipt and pictures of the unit to identify all I need is a new screen that I will pay for but cannot get anyone at Dell call centers to solve.Christine

Cancelled my order on shipping day…

Cancelled my order on shipping day after ordering a month previously. Want me to pay the new, higher prices instead of what I got in the sale on Jan 5th. Reasoning being; parts not available.

This is a review from the 'other side'. We have a business 'support' contract (that in itself is a joke) with Dell and this experience has killed what remains of it. They are absolutely useless, when we chase for updates we are passed from pillar to post, and then when I am asked to email the same again with no updates.A laptop was sent off for repair on the 14th December 2020 after weeks of back and forth. It's still yet to arrive back....no update or ETA oh and it suprisingly manged to end up in their repair centre in Poland (we are in the UK).The amount of time it has taken to get any update is shocking, the internal cost of chasing this as a business could have been 2 brand new hi-spec laptops.No apology, no care or consideration, and come renewal I am pleased to say there will be no DELL contract.If you want a better and more reliable offering, use HP. Better built, better spec, better service.

Do not buy a Dell computer

Do not buy a Dell computer. I am a teacher and needed one immediately at my house for teaching remotely. I trusted the computer until it went bad within two months and the customer service was absolutely horrid. Hung up on, transferred, told the same story 52 times, and to no good results. And now the hard drive cannot be detected. I am only giving it one star because a zero isn’t available. Don’t waste your hard earned money. The corporate people at Dell simply don’t care.

I purchased a Dell computer and added a…

I purchased a Dell computer and added a Microsoft 365 software for the same computer on November 30th of 2020. I was busy with the Holidays and did not get a chance to set up this computer and activate this Microsoft 365 software. I called the service center and they tried to help me but they can not activate this software for me and told me to call the next day to cancel the purchase of the software and get a refund. When I reached the customer service, the agent told me that Dell only allow 10 days to activate this software and if the customer missed this 10 days period, they are out of luck. No refund period. This will be the last time that I do business with Dell

Every time I was tried to explain my problem. they are putting me on hold for checking the issue and after 5 mins they are disconnecting the call. not even calling back, I notified the executive to give me a call in case it gets disconnected

Dell's technical support is a disaster

Dell's technical support is a disaster. I've trying to speak with someone for over 5 days and only thing I was told was they will schedule a call whit the right agent who will call me in the next 24h, which never happened and that repeated 5 days in a roll. I ended up talking with someone from warranty department who told me (after 1h on the phone) that they only can sell me another extra warranty, because mine won't cover a charger issue. NEVER BUYING DELL PRODUCT AGAIN.

Support is a joke

Technical Support and Returns are a joke. I attempted returning a Dell wireless mouse that was being used on a Dell computer that stopped connecting to the USB receiver after a month and a half. Called in, they shipped me to 3 different departments. I was helped, we troubleshooted. They determined that the mouse needed to be replaced and said I would receive a replacement in 24-48 hours. After a week and a half of not receiving even an email about it, I called back in and was shipped 3 more times to a representative that asked me my name and then hung up on me and never called back. Extremely poor support, I have been a customer that purchases and pushes purchases of Dell equipment for years. I wouldn't care if this was a one time thing for me personally, which it isn't, this is COMMMpletely unacceptable and is a recipe for losing customers. If you drop the ball, it's bad, but not unforgiveable. Their structure of service in technical support and returns clearly has some layered uncheckable issues happening in these departments that are not one time occurrences.
