Charged back our account over $700.00. No dispute for that amount or date showing online. No human support is available required to only email your problem with little or no response. Likely AI is doing the reply. Called their sales dept. They gave me a 800 number that was disconnected.
You cannot effectively manage fraud issues in email but that is all they offer. No phone support at all. They won't fix issues when asked, instead insisting I must manual refund hundreds of fraudulent orders. Fail, you're fired Braintree!
This is the worst payment system I've ever used. From a developers perspective, the support is non-existent, the documention is outdated, no new features are being added, it's just terrible. We constantly have to work around it whereas everything is handled out of the box with Stripe for example. Do yourself a favor, do not use braintreee.
I felt compelled to write a review to warn people to stay away from this shady organization with NO phone support but haha looks like they may have already have the world's most one star reviews! Makes me wonder about Paypal since it is owned by it. Thank god I removed it as my payment processor after the second day of it failing to be able to process two of my orders. What a joke company. To anybody out there that is still using it I would bail ASAP! Companies like this DESERVE TO GO OUT OF BUSINESS. Good-bye Brainfail.

I was lured into purchasing what I thought was a simple $2.16 IQ test, only to find myself ensnared in a recurring subscription nightmare of $38.80 per month, which I never knowingly agreed to.The audacity of Brainety's deception is staggering. Their checkout page, cleverly designed to mislead, showed the price breakdown for the IQ test with no mention of a trial or additional charges. To add insult to injury, it boldly proclaimed "No hidden fees," a blatant falsehood that couldn't be further from the truth.When I received the order confirmation email, it only mentioned the IQ test with no hint of a subscription. It even prompted me to review the purchase for errors – a laughable suggestion since the main issue, the subscription, was carefully omitted.Attempting to uncover the truth, I logged into my Brainety account, only to find there was no section for billing or subscription management. The only way to access this crucial information was through direct email communication – a tactic that reeks of intentional obfuscation.What truly highlights Brainety's lack of integrity is their shifting Terms of Service. Initially allowing users to opt-out of subscriptions easily through their profile, they conveniently altered this to a convoluted email process, making it harder for users to cancel unwanted subscriptions.Brainety’s practices are not just a severe annoyance; they are the epitome of deceit. The company's strategy appears to be trapping unsuspecting customers into subscriptions and then making it as difficult as possible to escape these financial snares.To anyone considering using Brainety: beware. This company is not in the business of providing educational services; they are in the business of entrapment and deceit. And to PayPal, who denied my claim despite this overwhelming evidence of Brainety's deceptive practices, your support of such businesses is equally disgraceful.Companies like Brainety should not be allowed to operate with such flagrant disregard for ethical business practices. The worst merchant provider, completely inefficient - please use Stripe, not Braintree.Took months to set up an account, customer service is virtually non existent, you cannot call them, you email and it takes days to get a half baked response that is copied and pasted from someone else and it makes no sense. If you want any changes made for anything, expect it to take months and be completely inefficient. My contact would email me requesting information, I would respond almost instantly and receive their out of office response and have to wait a week or more for a reply.You want to use Apple Pay - 3 weeks to set up, you want to create a simple payment link for customers - forget it. You want to integrate with Piano or similar, 4 weeks wait, you have a technical query - 4 weeks wait. You need to speak to the underwriter- forget it.Braintree used to be the best option as technically they were superior, but that is just not the case anymore, most other merchant services do the same as Braintree, just better, quicker, easier and more friendly and efficient.Using Braintree for nearly 12 months has been the worst experience with any company I have ever had.I contacted Stripe and within 6 hours I had 1:1 call, an account, and was fully integrated taking card payments. It’s been several months now and the service is perfect.Please avoid Braintree and choose anyone else except them.
I wish I had seen these reviews earlier! I needed to change my bank account & business information due to a rebrand and the process to do this has been SO CONVOLUTED my head is spinning! It’s been over a month & a half and I still have thousands of dollars locked up because they changed my information on a WRONG ACCOUNT! How!?!? They make you jump through so many hoops to make sure the changes are secure and made by the authorized account owner but then they turn around and update these details on an incorrect account!? Not sure if I’ll ever get my money now without intervention of an attorney. Stay farrrr far away from Braintree if you care about your business & money.
