DO NOT SWITCH TO BRAINTREE FROM PAYPAL.This is an incompetent organisation at every level - their so-called 'integration experts' will not speak over the phone! You have to do everything via support tickets! Which of course means quick questions take hours or days to answer. When you finally get the integration done you have a payment gateway which rejects a very high number of valid transactions 'for security reasons'! Ie you lose thousands of pounds a month because they are scared of chargebacks.And to top it all you don't get your money 'every day' at all - there can be 2 or 3 day delays 'for technical reasons' and they won't warn you that there is a problem.BRAINTREE ARE A JOKE.

Recently added Braintree on my site and…

Recently added Braintree on my site and having issue with the transaction contacted customer support. now support team want me to provide them 3 month of transaction statement how can i give them 3 month of statement when i'm with them for only 2 weeks. customer support reply didn't make any sens to me

Braintree was a huge waste of time

Developer here working on a new mobile app. Pointed my client in Braintree's direction, given their status. Client went through a lengthy application process where they requested lots of information, which is fine.After completing the application process my client was denied the next day, with no information about why.An attempt to follow up was met with a curt, non-helpful, clearly final response. Braintree was a very poor experience for us. All things being equal, avoid Braintree. If you decide to try go with Braintree, I recommend applying for Braintree before spending any time integrating with their sandbox, and be prepared to go with another credit card processor.

I am shocked to see how many people…

I am shocked to see how many people have the EXACT SAME experience. I wish I would've seen this sooner!I wasted a lot of hours in implementing BT on my back end, after trying out a single payment with my own credit card I got that same email about "risk review". Then I got through the same process, sent them all kind of information and finally got rejected out of nowhere. You get almost no details about why they are rejecting you so you have no idea what the problem is on your side.Imho this is insanely unprofessional and can destroy a company or a startup.Be careful with this company!

Just had ZAR0.00 taken from my account…

Just had ZAR0.00 taken from my account listed as Braintreecharge (obviously a test by scammers). 2 large amounts was then put through by a company called Evolution Ideas. Fortunately my bank picked it up in time. I cancelled my card

don't waste your time on braintree

so we started with paypal and paypal recommends using braintree, so my developer spent lot of time to integrate braintree and test it successfully. i looks all good, but after sending tonnes of emails and documents to support my application to braintree, it was rejected as they don't support our business mode. such a waste of time. don't ever go with braintree.

STAY AWAY!Braintree is a scam, don't waste your time integrating with them.They are having serious issues and cannot accept new customers, all new customers are getting declined with the excuse of high risk.Existing customers are also having their funds frozen and payments are not released.Our SaaS is a simple online business app where people just pay for monthly subscription. Nothing strange, nothing out of the ordinary. (btw our company is a partner company with a very well known international firm with presence all around the world and it enforces strict kyc/aml controls and policies.)If you apply, you will likely get the following reply:Thank you for your interest in Braintree! After a careful review of your application, we regret to inform you that we must decline your business. We manually review each application and consider a number of factors when making these decisions. Your application was declined as we cannot support this software as a service business model.We appreciate your application but we are unable to support your business at this time.Best Regards,The Braintree TeamBraintreeWe will not be wasting our time anymore with Braintree, we already have 3 other payment gateways that have accepted our business.

Braintree only for big ones!

Braintree have a process of application validation. Braintree could decline your apllication when you are already on production with your apllication working. They no consider this viability before and you dont get any special advise before the first online payments. If Braintree decide to decline the application, al paymetns must be returned to the customers, and your account may be locked. Be sure that they approve your application before register on sandbox and begin integration with Braintree.Braintree tiene un proceso de validación de aplicaciones bastante estricto. Te recomiendo que no comiences ninguna integración con Braintree hasta que tengas la validación positiva de Braintree, de lo contrario te puedes encontrar con días de integración, una app cargada en las stores, cobros realizados para nada. Braintree te cerrará la cuenta, devolverá los cobros a los clientes y tendrás que comenzar la integración con otra plataforma, además de asumir las pérdidas derivadas de las devoluciones a los clientes.
