Unsurprisingly, I find myself in the company of many others. I recently found out that, without any explanation or forewarning, I was billed $299.00 for an unrequested 2025 subscription to academia.edu, while on Jan 19 last year I paid $99.00. It cannot be because I chose a higher level of subscription: in fact, this is what I am asked to do whenever I open the site. Nor did I ever request an auto-renewal (for good reasons I never do that). The increase from 99 to 299 feels like highway robbery and I am very offended that this occurs at a site touted to be for a professional academic community.The fact that this has happened to too many, clearly supports the suspicion of a widespread scam and loudly asks for the intervention of a customer defense entity or law agency.

It was good until recently but they forced this "core payroll" update on to everyone which basically removed all of its functionality and it no longer works.Since it was introduced, running payroll has been a nightmare. One problem was that it stopped uploading pension contributions without telling me, and l got a £400 fine from the pensions regulator. The support staff freely admit that the update was forced on people before it was finished. Also every payroll is now allocated a random date in the future, so you have to delete and rerun it.

Unreliable, looses connection with the heat link/boiler and the only advice you are given is move the thermostat closer to the heat link. Regretting buying a wireless thermostat a wired one would probably be more stable. Also note to Google the error code H71, I do not have any of the systems you say I should have if I get code H71. I am also told I can switch on my heating manually, course I can, your instructions don’t include getting out of bed, going downstairs and outside, going into my garage, finding the right switches and turning it on. My usual way is to go downstairs to the thermostat, get it to reconnect, which it does and then it works. If it was designed properly I should be able to reset remotely or is that too difficult.I could never recommend Nest to anyone having used one.

Backed a project and didnt receive the item. kickstarter costumer service either taked 4-6 weeks to even answer and when they do they say to contact the project which is obviously a scammer. unless kickstarter starts to place some garantees as a backer- there will just be more scammers making projects. dont back projects unless you are ok with loosing the money.

I placed my order on the 13th of December and it was to be delivered on the 17th. My order consisted of Christmas cards, Christmas gifts and a few grocery items for a recipe that I was taking to a Christmas party. As of the 18th it still had not shipped out, as UPS noted that the label had been created but they were not in possession of the package. I called customer service on the 18th to find out why my package had not yet shipped as I would not be able to send out Christmas cards this year because of their late delivery and it was starting to make me worry about the Christmas gifts. The customer service rep told me to call back in 2 days with my reference number and the rep would make it right. When I called on the 20th, the new rep replaced all of my items at no charge, apologized, and told me to expect a delivery of the new order. Well, today is December 23rd and it still hasn't shipped.I will never order anything at Christmas time from Target again. I placed my order with Walmart and it was here in 2 days.

Parallels allows me to run multiple OS’s in a VM easily. I’ve tried a couple of other options and Parallels is just plain easier. I maintain VM’s for Win10, Win98, Win3.11, OS/2 and Linux. So much easier and cheaper than trying to maintain all these on separate machines.

Kroger's fulfillment company is truly awful. I placed an order with Kroger for 7 items. And specifically asked to have replacements if needed. When I got the order, there were only 3 items. The other 4, not there. BUT I was charged for ALL SEVEN Items. That's right. They didn't communicate with me, they didn't try to find other items. They just took my money for everything and left me with a half complete order. It was only until I contacted customer service that I was able to get refunded. They even spoke with the driver/purchaser and he admitted, they didn't have my items and it was completely acceptable to him that I was charged for everything. Wow, really?

Absolutely disgusting!! Can't retrieve photos off my son from years 2-5. Apparently they were deleted, absolute nonesense. Nothing will ever make up for the damage you's have caused and to blame me for it instead of admitting fault. I will be seeking compensation for this!!! Avoid at all costs
