Review of backblaze

Complaints are easy, positive ones take effort

I suppose most people don't write positive reviews but are always quick to call things out when they have a bad experience. However reading a lot of these here, there seems to be some unrealistic expectations and dare I say people who may think they are more IT savvy than perhaps they are. Backblaze works... when used as designed and if you have a decent upload speed to jet your data out then it will work expected. I have a feeling some people here have not realised where the problem exists or how Backblaze hashes files and behaves looking for dupes or previously uploaded files. I have been using Backblaze for three or four years and just had my first major drive failure, I have opted to restore to a $189 drive which I will return for a refund and only pay for the return shipping - this is entirely reasonable. What a great service! And yes, I got an encrypted drive with all my data on it, no problems. No stress, I just had to be patient for a few days while they wrote out my restore and sent me the drive. Overall this is one of the best value for money services you can get and it works, and actually I think they go above and beyond with the refund program! If you forget your passwords and keys to your data well, what do you expect? You want it secure and only you can access it, then that's your responsibility to remember the key! If you have a slow upload speed or don't understand what that really means then yes it will take a long time to sync your data, if you keep removing your external drive or turning off the PC, what do you expect? if you need to download ALL that data or think it will magically reappear in moments when YOU have a problem - that's not realistic. Backblaze works and isn't expensive, I genuinely think they provide a unique and wonderful service I am grateful for... the costs of off sight backups can be huge, they are doing it for next to nothing. Whatever limitation they have in terms of speed and a clunky client - who cares, use it as designed and with the correct expectation - your data is safe. What a price, what a great product. Thank you Backblaze.

RP2040 Assembly Language Programming ARM Cortex-M0+ on the Raspberry Pi Pico — Stephen Smith

I brought the same book for the second time. Only to learn the hard way that it must be unlocked by a Internet connection to read repeatedly (1st.copy failed due to a compute failure) Worst, because I brought copy 2 on my phone, without any warning ⚠️ it's lock to a hard to read phone screen! I'm so done with your screwie business!

Review of foxnews

This is a zero star rating

Don’t think you got a one star this is a zero star rating you are all racists who make biased news with women in tight dresses to keep men who want to see that watching everything you say is biased the fact that hip hop sends out violent images even though it was created because of police violence toward African Americans and no it does not do more damage then racism. I just saw that the writer for Tucker Carlson got fired for being racist but your all racist so why’d he get fired. You continue to support the President even though he is the reason for so many dying and you call a movement to stop people like you from pushing people like them down a cult. That isn’t a cult but your whole Trump bull carp is you have hurt so many with the news Chanel including women who Roger Ailes molested and Duckworth a military hero who achieved more then Tucker Carlson ever could with dancing with the stars so screw you basically. 0 stars.

Review of careerbuilder

CareerBuilder is great, but Corporate fraud involved to bluff Governments and Trump Administration,

Site is doing everything great, but I never got an interview. The reason is that companies are fussing about software packages and I believe using this excuse as a tool to show that jobs are plenty, but there is no skilled labor. The problem is that people who are advertising jobs are playing tricks. They are using tools like software or other simple skills to discriminate the applicants. And, make job available to only a few connected individuals. Each company uses different job specific software and so it must not be an issue for selection of an employee. One must see that the basic foundation of the job related subject matter is attained by the applicant via qualifications like a degree or some experiences. Software's are merely tools that can be learned or mastered in a matter of days by any employee who has a bachelors degree. However, Governments or Labor Departments of States must look into this matter and set laws that companies cannot discriminate American applicants on the basis of knowledge for software's or other simple tools, unless its an IT or Computer Software Job. If an employee has the required fundamental qualification and experience for the job then that person cannot be discriminated in the name of knowledge of software packages because these are to be taught in on the job training's. And, like I said, I have never seen a person who took more then a week to use or master any software, as it is merely a tool for doing the accounting, or finance or any other job. Companies should stop tricking the Government by saying that there are many jobs, but there is shortage of skilled labor because this is an absolute lie. A software is different for different companies and it can be company specific or job specific, so it is to be a part of on the job training and people should not be discriminated for not knowing the company specific software's.I hope someone will report this matter and the on going bluff to the Labor Department of NY, NJ and the FEDERAL Government's Labor Department. The need to make it a law that companies cannot discriminate workers on company specific tools of the duties as these are supposed to be a part of on the job training's. Because of these type of standards companies are discriminating minorities, Americans of African decent and other ethnic backgrounds or make choices of Male employees vs. Female employees. Also these issues gives companies grounds to pay lower salaries and hurting the Economies of the region. I strongly abhor such corporate tactics as it has no room in our Diverse American Society. And,US Labor Department and The Trump Administration should take notice of such doings.

Lost my order worth hundreds of euros…

Lost my order worth hundreds of euros and will not get it back. They used a courier that falsely delivered the package and have told me I have to go to the post office and spend hours tracking it down and finding the package, they wont make a phone call and find the package or tell me how to get it. Rude customer service and useless, I have spent thousands ordering from their site over the years but will never use it again.

Sending Expired or Nearly Expired food

They only allow reviews that look positive on them when they are responsible for fulfilling the orders. A joke that they wouldn’t approve my honest review of this problem so here I am. Ordered over $75 worth of food and all of it was either expired, or nearly expired. Not a fan.

Zero customer care for flight delays

They refused to offered me a hotel room in LA or food allowance after landing at 11.55pm and missing my connection flight to New Zealand due to flight delays from New York. My next flight was 24 hrs away and they left me there hanging in the middle of the night with an empty tummy. Crazy service.

Pitfalls of using UPS COURIER

Pros of using UPS International Courier:1) UPS Envelope more or less arrived on time2) Cleared Chinese customs with no issuesCons of Using UPS1) Very expensive2) Too many stops on the way from Canada to China3) UPS agents don't know anything more than what I can see on the UPS tracker4) UPS uses these USELESS, STUPID BOTS to answer the 1-800 # and these stupid bots are as useless as tits on a bull!My recommendation: Don't use UPS unless you have no other viable choices.

Review of duolingo

Ruined by shareholder greed

I’m on a 4 year streak and I’m now looking for an alternative. This app has gone from being a user-focussed educational tool to a fully enshittified cash cow for the shareholders. I can live with the adverts, but it is now designed to make subscription-free learning as difficult as possible. A textbook example of money-spinning redevelopment.

Would give zero stars if I could

Would give zero stars if I could. Must admit I haven’t had issues with Zara previously, but did have a problem with an order (which I’ve STILL not received) and their ‘customer service’ if you can even call it that was absolutely terrible. I was ignored completely for an hour, tried to raise a complaint, that was also ignored, simply given prescribed answers and they refused to call me to sort it out. Not good Zara, sort the customer service out!

Money Taken Without Petmission

Money has been taken from account without my permission. I've tried to complain and noone responds. Wish I'd never got involved with it - person I tried to help is long gone but Patreon still stealing money. Only way out seems to be to block their content, remove your bank details and ban the site with your bank.

Review of newegg

Can't handle a tech launch what a suprise

You'd think that by this generation of GPUs that newegg would be able to handle a product launch. Had four different 5080s in my cart and because of newegg's technical incompetence none of them made it past the check out phase. Even when I was ready to go, having had my banking and address info on my account prior to the launch, newegg still asked me to confirm them by typing them out again. That 20 seconds prevented yet another sale due to selling out. Newegg can screw itself. They are simply incapable of doing the bare minimum of a tech-oriented store which is to have a somewhat functional store.
