Such a bad experience.When I look at companies like Squarepace or Amazon that provide such an amazing customer support and here, it is so different. My advice ? Go for another solution. Usually, I never leave a negative comment. Never. I never dislike even a youtube video ! This is the first time in my life that I am posting one.For your own serenity go for another solution.
Somewhere below in the reviews I saw that after the start of sales they block the account and keep the money as long as they want. And Yes it happened to me, I sold two digital products ( icon design kits for the site) and at first everything was fine, I got a 5 star rating on the products. A day later, I just can't log in to my account, it's blocked. And I wrote an email, but there is no response yet and there is not even any notification! Guys from Gumroad apparently look that I'm from Russia, and take out their hatred by doing things like rats. If anyone knows how to influence them write. I want to get paid for my products.
The support that I received was very understanding and helpful in regards to some charges made by another party through my account. My concerns were addressed almost immediately and the support manager was honest in their efforts to help me resolve my issue. I hope that this company can build more good reviews like this one. They definitely deserved it considering how I initially approached them with a bad attitude.
I reached their customer service to review and validate my account, and we did that in two mails. Just be cool with exchange one mail each day with them, and they will help you.I'm looking forward selling more on this platform.Moneys are on my paypal account, they are not scam.
Can’t wait to see what kind of passive aggressive response gumroad comes up with!!! Gumroad sucks! :) like everyone says they have poor customer support and horrible website layout. After only 1% of UNFAIR charge backs they shut down your account and basically play it out like it’s your fault! :) I sell cosplay photosets, someone bought about 6 sets and then about 2weeks after I already got paid out from those purchases that lowlife charged back everything, got my content for free, lost ALL my money from the week, and was shut down. Just because somehow it’s my fault Robert wants to jerk it to my cosplay and then return it because their policies are as weak as a wet limp noodle. Also anyone with 1brain cell can read your responses on these reviews and can see your company’s attitude problem. They were even condescending to one another on their team: example: I emailed them a question about payout, it didn’t answer my question so I emailed back saying feedback was unclear and then some crackhead said “well xxx doesn’t know what they’re talking about sorry you got mixed responses but my word is law here” and then THEY were wrong as well. It also took 5weeks for my first payout and they kept saying check in after at least 5 sales to 5 different customers and I had 49 sales and about 9 different buyers and I still was waiting for payout. I get that you have certain banking partners but newsflash they suck, and by relation YOU suck, gumroad. Get your act together. Stop pointing fingers at content creators who are putting money in your grimey pockets. it’s YOUR fault for basically enabling content stealing. If you’re going to run this type of website you can’t halfway it with so called banking partners who put you in this situation. Maybe take a break and put the website under construction while you work out better banking partners for your creators. Look around everyone is unhappy hence the 2/5 stars. Yikes
Gumroad is a place that obviously allows pornography listings and profits from pornography sales. I would never willingly list my product on the same page right next to extremely graphic Porn images for sale. For many professional reasons! At this point, it's just hilarious, and I feel like I must be on a tv show where they prank people and laugh at their frustration.A user bought digital assets from my store but gumroad was not allowing them to download them. When I reported this to gumroad, they blamed the user for the problem and provided advice that was not relevant. I refunded the user, and asked gumroad if they could still try to look into the issue, and gumroad said that they couldn't fix the issue now, blaming ME because I refunded the user! The response I got was "I literally can't rectify anything right now, sorry. There's no solution right now besides the customer buying the product again."Later, all of the files (about 50) in my subscription product suddenly disappeared. And when I asked what happened or how to get them back they replied: "We didn't delete them, sorry. Best, Cheryl, Manager of Support Gumroad". That's the whole email. I asked what they could do to help fix the issue, and they said "I'm sorry that I'm not providing you with the service you expect, but I'm not sure what you'd like me to do Gavin? You deleted the product. You don't want to sell the product anymore. What steps can I take to make you happy?" The platform has issues and the customer support (at least from Cheryl) is unhelpful and condescending.
Horrible customer service. I purchase books during Black Friday Sale through a mobile browser. The seller name says “REEF ID BOOKS”. The product title says “TRAVEL SET”. The product image shows physical books. So I expect to get physical copy and click to pay. It was just simple three steps from cover page, select product and then payment with CVC. I noticed that something was wrong when the delivery address is missing and there wasn’t any step to review my order. I emailed the seller and Gumroad right away. The seller never replied. After couple of emails, Gumroad said it is ebook and no refund even I clearly said I’m not aware it is ebook and have no intention to take any ebook. I clearly showed them screenshot of my purchase processes - no e-book clearly states anywhere. My first time purchasing from this Gumroad. Never again. Unprofessional and misleading.
