Review of eventbrite
This company seem to be scammers, use at your peril!!!. They have taken £153 out of my account and I have sent them email upon email for my money back and they send out a standard email keeping you in a loop. Tried to trace a phone number which is attached to a voicemail - any other form of contact is non existent. I sent another two emails today and they are bouncing back. There is no customer complaint or anyone you can speak to. I will persist as Eventbrite should not get away with conducting business this way with no form of accountability by taking monies - when you speak to your bank they advise to go back to the provider but how can I if Eventbrite have no way of allowing costumers to reach out to get money they have taken. It seems their tactic is hoping that we will forget about the monies they have taken but I will persist.Update on 14 November - I received a response on 9th November and was told they will get back to me with my refund. I have sent two follow up emails to someone called Francisco from the EventBrite Customer Success Team who is dealing with this - all email no phone contact possible - (interesting they are called customer success as there has been zero success). Still waiting for my funds to be returned to my bank account. The radio silence continues with Eventfright. I will keep you posted.Update: 28 Nov - at last a response stating that they will not refund as they cannot see that I had pressed a pause button. It is a total shambles as you cannot speak to anyone to talk through the process it is all very robotic. I have asked twice for it to be scaled up so I can speak to someone - pending a response. I can see now how this company has had such bad reviews - it’s unimaginable the way they conduct their business with such lack of care.June 2024 - they have well and truly taken my money and run off. Use them at your peril. I unsubscribed and now they have taken my email address and sending their marketing spam - I have unsubscribed over and over and somehow they seem to recapture my email address. Please know what you are getting yourself into with EventFright a truly awful experience!

We booked our holiday to Thailand with Emirates Holidays. Our hotel and transfers were fine but the flights to Thailand were awful. The cabin crew appear to be poorly trained, hence poor service. They advertise that we should drink plenty of water but when we requested a glass of water in order to take important medication, we were told “you will have to wait”. The water never came. We asked for a beer, we were told “I will see if there are any left”. Again, no drinks offered. We were only offered drinks with the meal/snack that was served during the flight. When we arrived in Dubai, we decided to purchase our own bottled water to take with us on our connecting flight.The flight to Thailand was even worse. A certain group of passengers who were obviously known to cabin crew were extremely well looked after, staff offering a continuous flow of beer, only to them. The comfort of other passengers was disregarded. Totally unprofessional behaviour! We weren’t looking forward to our flight home but we needn’t have worried, it was fine, obviously better trained, more professional cabin crew.We have noticed a decline in standards with Emirates over the past couple of years and feel that they are now more on par with budget airlines and because of this, we have chosen alternative travel arrangements for next year.

Customer service is NO help. Apparently, it’s a “call center,” but getting help is ZERO, did not happen. They hung up on me twice today when I requested to speak to geek squad who were setting up my new laptop and transferring data from my old laptop. They did not respond to texts either. No wonder the reviews are all negative. I had to drive to the store to get any kind of update on my laptop’s status. What should have taken no more than 48 hours to do will be at least 60+ hours because of the total lack of customer support. Employees at the store agreed with me that the “customer service” call center is a complete waste of time. It’s better just to go to the store than waste time contacting the call center. Let customers contact the geek squad at the store directly!

I bought vouchers for all-you-can-eat dim sum at Leong's Legend in Chinatown - it was brilliant value and everything worked perfectly. On the voucher it said to book at least 72 hours in advance, but I managed to redeem it for a booking less than 48 hours in advance. I saw lots of negative reviews after I bought the voucher which had me nervous, but my experience was completely streamline and hassle-free. No problems at all, would recommend.
