Review of bloomberg
I was a customer that had automatic renewal. I received an email stating my subscription would renew on 07/01/2023 for 415 dollars almost twice what I paid the prior year. On the 7th of January my credit card company sent me a notice of a pending charge from Bloomberg for 415 dollars. I immediately signed into my Bloomberg account to cancel but found directions that I needed to contact customer support. It was Saturday and customer support is not opened on the weekend. I received an email that I would not receive a refund but the would not bill me next year. This is so wrong and misleading at best. I believe these are deliberate methods to bilk subscribers.
Review of bigcommerce
BigCommerce is a platform that works for non tech people to build our own web sites. It was frustrating years ago when I started, but tech support has gotten worse even as I got better at using the site. It's as if I can't keep up with the bad-to-worse support. For example, where they used to help with code adjustments, now they refuse to do anything because they are more concerned with potential liability rather than giving support. Another example, there is a problem with the 'shop by price' category, and instead of fixing it, they said it's my problem and they don't care because it works for cheap products, and the fact that I am a jewelry designer means - -they don't care. Another example, they blame the truly messed up and insane analytics on bots, and won't fix that either. They will not allow customers to speak with experienced tech support. The ones we are permitted to speak with are so poorly trained, one of them actually said to me "Well, this is supposed to be a learning experience." and then, she suggested that I manually move 600 products to Pinterest because she did not know how to use the technology I pay for every month. Changing a site to a different platform is more than a one person company can handle. One positive thing I will say is that these platforms do give non-tech people like me the ability to build and edit sites. That is a fantastic tool. I can't say whether Shopify or Magento are better or worse because I have not used them, so I am not telling you to avoid this platform, just warning of the issues. My suggestion: I urge you to use trial periods on several different platforms before investing thousands of hours building your site. That way, you can make an educated decision. Someone else put me here, and without questioning, I just stayed. Where ever you go- best of luck!NOTE- I am logging in more than a year later to downgrade my review. BigCommerce has gotten way worse. Their tech support has a shocking combination of ignorance and arrogance. In addition, many of the services that I am paying for don't work. After a year of analytics being broken less than it works, I asked for a comp upgrade. All they did was send the terms of service paragraph where they say that none of the services we pay for is guaranteed. While I have never used any other platform, all I can suggest is that you use ANY other platform. I rarely give bad reviews, but just don't want anyone else to go through this because it really hurts my ability to earn a living.

Review of Zoom
If you're are looking for an example of customer service "skidding on the bottom of the barrel", you have found it. Impenetrable front end. I got to the point of asking for a manager to call me, then received an email response from the same associate that I asked for the call back, stating the same nonsensical answer that prompted my request for a manager in the first place. I am seriously beginning to think that there is only one person at the end of the line. I give up. I had warned them that if I didn't get a manager's response that I would give a not so complimentary review. There are too many other competing service providers in this game, so do yourself a favor and skip this barrel bottom experience.

Review of uber
Great service tonight, delivering our piping hot Thai take-away so quickly - and we are a bit off the beaten track. Somehow how house was not on the restaurant account so needed a phone call to check it out - all went smoothly and great person who delivered. Hats off Uber.
Review of tvguide
The ‘new’ app is completely useless. They do not give any information about what is showing except a generaldescription of the show’s concept. One show that shares a title with a 1970s show even has the information for the previous show rather than the current one. This is the absolute worst update of any app that I’ve ever seen. I’ll give it a month to correct, then I delete.
Review of temu
I ordered a smartwatch for my child from a seller on Temu named Shenzhen Chuangjicheng Wangluo Keji Youxian Gongsi (Order ID: PO-076-12122063264550339). After receiving the product, I discovered a serious issue: during phone calls, the voice echoes back constantly, making it impossible to have a proper conversation. I tested it with different GSM operators, but the problem remained. When I lowered the volume, I couldn’t hear anything clearly.I reported the issue to Temu and they refunded me — but told me to keep the item. Wanting to act in good faith and not abuse the refund system, I offered to return the refund so I could test the product more. When the issue still wasn’t resolved, I asked to return the item or get a replacement. But Temu refused to help any further.I am extremely disappointed. I was honest and tried to find a fair solution — but instead of being supported, I was left with a defective product and no help. This is not how a trustworthy marketplace should treat its customers.I hope the seller or Temu reconsiders and resolves this properly. I am still open to a fair solution.
Review of redbubble
I'd been written that was being flagged by ZeniMax Media, Inc. and had my work taken down. The character 100% fell under fair use as the only thing it had in common with Fallout itself was the pose in common. (You cannot copyright a pose.) I tried to contact them on the issue, but they were completely uncooperative and tried to talk around the issue as though I didn't understand the absolute basics of art law or my own rights. Ultimately, I decided to take down my entire Redbubble account because at this point, I cannot trust them enough to do business with them.To date, my work (which fell under fair use) was taken down while there are countless Fallout inspired art pieces that, at the time of writing, definitely do not fall under fair use. This targeted harassment was enough to cause me to leave.
Review of Microsoft
My daughter's computer locked by Microsoft saying "sign-in option is disabled because of failed sign-in attempts or repeated shutdowns" This is despite her using her correct password each time she goes on and is a lie! She is in tears because of Microsoft's arrogance and prevent from accessing her homework. Locking computers people own and have their own copy of Windows on is completely unacceptable and just shows arrogance and greed. Clearly government action is required to control this appalling company. This needs negative stars. I have better things to do then resolve problems microsoft decide to cause. This is happening each time her login is required !!!
Review of gog
Keeping old games alive on newer hardware and OS versions is awesome. New games DRM-free is a requirement in my book - I don't want to buy a "license" to play a game for a limited time - I want to "own" it. Thank you GOG!
Review of duolingo
I’m on a 1761 day streak, so have been using and paying for the app for a long time and with every update it gets worse and worse. I’ve finally cancelled my subscription today as the focus is no longer on allowing me to learn and recap where needed, it’s more like a game pushing you to be top of the leaderboard even if you’re not learning anything. It’s just about making money now and I’ve had enough.
Review of bitdefender
I've been using Bitdefender for years, but recently got burned by the autorenewal. Be aware that when you sign up Bitdefender is not only getting authorization to take your payment but also to autorenew. This is exactly what happened, so I ended up paying twice, one at the full undiscounted price of US$100 a year, which is 50% more than their own discounted price. Now I am fighting with them to get my payment back.
