No Stripes and Your still OUT!

I started a new business and needed to set up payment options. Stripe was listed as a Credit Card Payment Gateway, so I filled in an application. This was rejected on the basis that I breached their Restricted Businesses list. They have every right to do this, but the most frustrating was they refused to point out exactly how my business, which is a simple 3-step system on how to build a business, breached those rules. Despite repeated "reviews", there was no customer-centric approach to helping get it right. I was not trying to undermine their processes, just to understand why. Particularly as mine is just one of many using the same business platform

Worst search engine

Absolute worst database of restaurants and a location search engine I have ever used. Pointless to try and find a restaurant and make reservations.

Review of nokia

Poor-quality phone, bad-faith "support". Avoid.

I don't give 1-star reviews lightly. I'm not doing this because I'm angry with HMD Global (who make "Nokia" phones). I'm doing because I genuinely see no redeeming aspect which I could use to add an extra star. Their product was crap, and their support appears to exist only to deflect warranty claims. The only reason I haven't taken HMD to court is that my lawyer tells me it wouldn't be cost-effective in the end.I bought a Nokia XR20 phone because it's "mil spec" and ruggedised and I'm clumsy. Yes, I confess I did drop it from pocket height. But that was within the range of things it should be able to take, which is why I bought it in the first place! So it is completely implausible that this impact caused the huge array of hardware and software faults this phone showed. Its trim came off and clearly wasn't glued properly underneath. Its clock drifted by multiple hours so I couldn't trust the alarm. Its fingerprint sensor regularly short-circuited and became painfully hot. Its Bluetooth audio was poor and skippy. If HMD had accepted this medley of crap and dealt with it responsibly, I'd give them 4 stars or 5. Mistakes happen. But their "support" came down to "nope". No engagement, no explanation, just "that's not covered by warranty". HOW is blatantly defective hardware not covered by warranty? I went the other route of customer-protection regulations through the online retailer (who were fine). Then HMD rolled out the "impact damage" excuse, which is a blatant cop-out for a "mil spec" phone, and didn't satisfactorily explain all the defects anyway. I challenged this and their responses went back to blunt refusal. And that was that.I don't like giving bad reviews. I want to be here telling people what a great phone the XR20 is and what a great company HMD is. But they're not. The product is terrible and the company is worse. Please avoid them.

Review of kickstarter

They support scammers and get their cut

Kickstarter allows scammer to roam free and even after they have been exposed they don't do anything to stop the scam as long as they get their % cut.I am one of the pledgers of HypeRAID, which ended up being a scam. Even after endless emails, comments, reports and such from customers they are still allowing pledges on the page and did nothing to help backers or stop the scammers. They just care about taking their cut.

Review of ESPN

This is the 2nd time they burned me

This is the 2nd time they burned me. Ordered through my account, just to end up wasting over two hours on the phone, talking to representatives in the Philippines! The first guy lies to me, telling me he’s getting me over to a technical service team representative, that can assist me, after listening to the annoying music for a FKN hour!!! He blind transfers me to what I thought was the Technical support team. The guy starts off by asking me what brand of television I have? Then he says “ go ahead delete the App, then reinstall it!” I said “ wait a minute, the last time I did this, I deleted the proof, that I purchased the fight. They wanted me to pay again. This guy was a liar, who could’ve been on a farm milking a Goat, for all I know, because he basically says “ I’m FKN USELESS” as he told me he’s reading suggesting, from the professionals 😳. I’m not making it up, as I’ve heard baby’s crying and Roosters crowing!!! I was not going to delete the App again. It was so much better on Fox, with Kenny Florian, Bisping and the rest of the team, as you simply ordered the PPV, through your local cable company. Dana White, not only rips off his fighters, he’s now taking advantage of the consumer, with his partner, ESPN! Have customers pay for the fight, then outsource to another Country, using representatives, with absolutely no knowledge, troubleshooting skills or Reps, who can even pass on information. You have to keep saying “ Hello” as you’ll get Dead Air, for sometimes up to a minute. Then they ask if they can call you back, that is another FKN Joke!!! I had a few people over, disappointed, that they were not able to see the fight, that was paid for, until ESPN, broke the news on Sports Center, with a few highlights! There’s only one good MMA organization and White, knows it, but I would love to see another one come along, that’s just as good. Here it is, Wednesday evening and still not one call! Hey, they will send you a survey, with no options to leave any comments. I tried to get through it, as they’re trying to find out if story lines, make a PPV better!

Review of venmo

Venmo customer service non existent

This is for Venmo customer service. I just sent $1000 to a friend and it got tagged as a purchase and $29 was taken out of the thousand dollars for a Venmo fee. I can’t tell you how many hours I’ve gone round and round doing what the website says to do and not getting through to anyone. In addition, I understand, my friend will be tagged for taxes. Venmo fix your problem!!!!!! I will not be using it again as I’m afraid of this happening again and not being able to get through to anybody to fix the situation.

Would not honour £30 of vouchers i recieved onto my existing £16.99 a month family plan. Stated that my friend who purchased them should have checked the terms in detail. Vouchers now useless as we have no other use for them. This despite being with Spotify over 8 years and spending over £1.500 with them . Their customer service did not care , wasted 1 hour of my time and seemed happy for me to instead leave Spotify.

After I contacted customer service again at 10:01 only then was I told It wouldn't arrive until tomorrow! No stupid company your website said the specific time of 5pm and 10pm TONIGHT! NOT TOMORROW! Yes I got proof too!Quick AF to take my money and don't deliver my items that I PAID FOR!YOU ABSOLUTELY SUCK! Go to HELL! Bet these clowns will take the entire 5 days to give me my money back! Review of alibaba

“Guaranteed Shipping” Is a Lie — Bait-and-Switch Tactics, Zero Accountability

I placed an order through Alibaba using their Guaranteed Shipping—big mistake. The item never arrived. Alibaba admitted the logistics provider failed, but instead of honoring the guarantee, they bounced me between automated replies and dispute links.I was told I’d be refunded, then told I had to request it myself. Now the same item costs nearly double, and they won’t honor the price I paid. That’s not a refund—that’s a bait-and-switch.This process has wasted weeks of my time, and I still don’t have the product I paid for. I don’t want a refund—I want what I ordered, at the price they guaranteed.Bottom line: There’s nothing guaranteed about Guaranteed Shipping. It’s just a script, not a service.Make it right.
