No help from customer service

I needed help from customer service, and it was impossible to get any help over the course of two weeks, in writing, or over the phone. They kept sending me a standard e-mail saying that they would be happy to support, instead of caring for my request. And on the phone, whenever they did not know what to do anymore, the line 'broke', no return call. So I had to give up.

Review of amazon

WORST EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE!!!

-- The worst experience of my life! One day in June (2022) I did a Google search for a free Text-to-Speech app. AWS came up with a link to a free service that did Text-to-Speech. I've heard of Amazon Web Services. I have Amazon Prime. What could go wrong?-- Clicking that link was like going down a rabbit hole. Page after page, form after form, setup the craziest login I've ever tried to use. In fact, I could not get the login to work at all. After a day or two, I gave up. I'm not that technical. I'm retired. Not motivated to get so involved.-- I started getting emails from AWS. I thought they were just chasing after me, like companies do. I ignored the emails.-- A few days later, I was checking my credit card statement and saw a charge for $208 from AWS.-- For the life of me, I couldn't understand it. I finally read the emails - Irregular account activity ... yada yada ... no real explanation.-- But the only way to get any answers was to login to the "account." It took another day or so for me to get the login to work - actually, found an MFA work-around that was a pain. But I got in.-- No help. Opened a ticket. The nightmare began. For the next couple of weeks I got ticket response after response telling me to do this that and the other thing to this database. I tried telling them COUNTLESS TIMES I don't know what any of this is. I'm not technical. Just cancel whatever it is and give me my money back!-- Oh no. The burden is on me to reconfigure this technical jungle before they can even look at the charges. SUCH BS!!!-- Hours and hours spent trying to follow their crypto-seeming instructions. Getting corrected, I didn't do this. I didn't do that. FRUSTRATING!!! Running blind. I don't know this stuff. I don't know how this got created in the first place (hacker, I found out).-- JUST CANCEL IT AND GIVE ME MY REFUND!!!-- I canceled my credit card and flagged the charge as soon as the nightmare started. But AWS - sheesh! -- About week ago, I finally got a real human on the phone. It seemed everything was good. They were waiting for some thing to reset or recognize a change or something. I don't know. Since then, I received a couple emails telling me the billing issue would be looked at as soon as the whatchamacallit was complete.-- Today I got an email with a new set of links to instructions to do a bunch more stuff in this database thing. I said, "NO. JUST CANCEL IT AND GIVE ME MY REFUND!!!"-- Oh no. AWS won't even look at the billing question until I do these things to their database - something about setting up aq secure cost and billing monitor or something. Frankly, that just sounded ominous to me.-- "NO. JUST CANCEL IT AND GIVE ME MY REFUND!!!"-- I got them to call me. Same stuff. I have to do these things before the billing question can be addressed. I said, "Supervisor." There is no Supervisor. I said, "NO. JUST CANCEL IT AND GIVE ME MY REFUND!!!"-- Email says, they can't do anymore. Closing ticket. I replied, "NO. JUST CANCEL IT AND GIVE ME MY REFUND!!!"-- Called my credit card company - gave full report. AWS has until August 5 to respond to my CC company.-- Finally, did some research. I AM NOT THE ONLY ONE WITH THIS PROBLEM. AWS IS A CRIMINAL ENTERPRISE, OR BORDERING ON ONE. THE AMOUNT OF COMPLAINTS, THE RANGE OF COMPLAINTS. BEZOS, NEXT TIME YOU GO INTO ORBIT, DON'T COME BACK.

Amazon Fails to Protect Customers from Bad Sellers

I purchased a mattress from Emma via Amazon, and it turned out to be faulty. Emma’s customer service has been an absolute disaster, constantly delaying my refund and ignoring my requests for their complaint details. I reported this to Amazon on numerous occasions, but they have done absolutely nothing to help.Amazon prides itself on customer protection, yet in my case, they have allowed a seller to ignored my numerous complaints as well as my consumer rights and delay refunds indefinitely.Very disappointed with Amazon’s lack of accountability. If they won’t protect buyers from sellers like Emma, I’ll think twice before purchasing through them again.

Review of hootsuite

So easy to track streams and schedule tweets

I first encountered Hootsuite many years ago but have only recently returned and started using it more regularly. I cannot believe how good the changes are in the current version. It's so easy to keep track of my streams and, more importantly for me, to schedule tweets (especially across timezones). So a big TICK and THANKS to the Hootsuite team!

Review of zillow

I signed to get real estate leads from…

I signed to get real estate leads from Zillow at $500 per month. They promised me I was going to get at least 60 leads in 6 months contract. It has been 60 days and I have gotten no leads. They say they have sent me leads but these leads are not qualified to buy a house, any house. I was promised that if I didn't get any leads that they will switch me to another zip code and that they were going to work with me to be successful. When I requested the change of zip code and complain about the quality of leads, I was told that if I wanted good leads I need to pay more money. I told them I need to get out of the contract because I can't afford to be paying for zero leads. Their answer is that ZILLOW has rules and I would not be able to get out of the contract. AGENTS please don't fall for their sales pitch and hope that you will get high-quality or even average leads.Zillow is scamming agents and after you sign their contract they can care less if you get something back or not, in return for your hard-earned money. The salesperson is asking me why am I complaining so soon and that I should wait longer to get a single lead!! I already paid $1000 and due for another $500 and not a single lead after 60 days. The salesperson is telling me that if a client doesn't qualify now I should wait around 2 years for this client to return.ZILLOW is illegally ripping agents off with false promises and on top of that, they are enforcing a fake contract. How is there a company like Zillow that is shameless charging agents credit cards in exchange for nothing? The Federal Trade Commission should put a stop to these illegal contracts that are good for nothing.I'm on my 5th-month of horrible after-effects from covid and wanted to pick some leads and get back to work. I don't have a single lead from Zillow but I do have a credit card bill for $1000 and due for another $500.Realtors stay away from lead scam contracts from Zillow.

Constant popups

It's basically unusable now because every 15 seconds you get a popup asking you to log in using google or facebook.. so if you try to spend 30 minutes browsing travel activities you will spend 3 minutes just clicking off the stupid popup. When will websites drop this garbageEdit: can you believe this response? You suggest getting rid of it by logging in? The whole point is I DON'T WANT TO LOG IN so when I close the popup IT SHOULD STAY CLOSED. If you insist on spamming popups to force people to log in, fine, I just won't use your website.

Review of musescore

Don't believe the 'Free trial' ads

Their advertised "free trial" is thoroughly dishonest. As soon as you try to download any music you are informed that doing so will end your free trial. In other words it's a free look, but not a free trial at all.

Review of medium

HATE SPEECH

Medium.com presents itself, to those who write for it, as an organic, warm, family of poets and writers. It is welcoming and warm and there are some excellent poets and writers. However, it is also a place where jealous, arrogant, ignorant poets and writers weaponize their words and use them to slice and destroy those who are more popular. One would also assume that Medium.com would understand what "poetic license" is, or even what poetry is. Poetry can accept as "real" that which is fantasy, that which is a person's personal view of reality. So a poet or writer is allowed to present his fabulous Greek wedding, with videos and music and a seaside resort, to a fellow woman poet of his liking whom he is NOT marrying, while other writers and poets "attend" and "dance" and otherwise "enjoy themselves." This is what poetry can be: fiction. Or a woman writes poetry about her son who seems like he is a little boy. In fact, he is a grown man who is a little boy in his mind, who who watches Mr. Rodgers and sings along with Snow White and does his best to manipulate his Mom to get a hot fudge sundae. But, since she is at the top of the ranking of poets, a jealous and not so poetic male poet inquires public records about her background, discovers not only that her son is not a little boy, but where she lives, her phone number, how much money she has in bank accounts, where she has lived, who she has been married to, all sorts of "personal" info, and he publishes it all on-line, adding that she is a liar and is writing about "her little boy" just to get attention for herself. Suddenly "hate poems" that refer to her and her almost 500 published poems are being spread all over Medium.com. Her "friends" and fellow poets on Medium, out of spite, jealousy, or simply ignorance, actively participate in this "word weaponizing" and cut her down. Medium.com allows this "hate campaign," and does nothing to protect her. She is a top-ranking poet who brings almost 8000 hits a month and has 1600 followers in ONE YEAR of writing.

Review of hp

HP HAS MADE GREAT PRINTERS BUT CUSTOMER SERVICE IS NON-EXISTANT

I have used HP printers for over 25 years and found them to be very reliable. I am not retired and use a HP Desk Jet 4152e which worked well for a time but now it won't print or scan. I tried for over 8 hours over several days to use the HP service offered but I find it to be less than desirable. The virtual assistant doesn't understand what I am trying to say. I have tried to text someone and asked someone to call me but it doesn't work. It wants a Serial Number to have someone call. The Printer Information Page provides BUT the system says it is INVALID and refers me to a YouTube video on how to find the Serial Number.

Review of abebooks

never again

I've ordered 3 books recently from abebooks. the first one came as described, without any problem. the other two came from the same place/seller (although they charged me twice for the shipping cost, when they should have just sent the two together as a single package, nvm) so both books were described as very good condition on the website. one was more like good condition at best but the third one wasn't even in fair condition. ripped, the back cover folded and was dirty too. i wrote to the customer service asking what they can do about it? the answer was I have to contact the sellers or return it. one book cost about 3$ (the shipping was more expensive than the actual price) so it wouldn't be worth it. i told them this and that i purchased these books from the abebooks website and my payment also went to them, so i would expect their customer service to take care of my case. this was 7 days ago, no response from them since. i am never buying from this site again, it looks like if you order something you have 33% chance to get what you ordered.
