Amazon = overpriced, bad quality products and unreliable shipping

To be honest I used to be an ebay girly, then I started paying for prime and thought it was great!! I used to recommend amazon to everyone! But latley I've noticed the product quality from sellers is terrible! everything even expensive things look like they're cheap quality, don't work properly or are defective/damaged. In the past 2 days alone, I've had: a set of saucepans that were damaged (saucepan lid handle snapped off and not in the bag with the lid, which leads me to belive it was damaged before being sent, not In Transit. A thermal printer which didn't work at all. It said it only had 3%battery so I charged it and still after an hour being charged it still said it only had 3%battery. And a staple gun which was made of flimsy and bendy plastic and the staples bent into an 'm' shape evertime they went into things. after all these problems, i realised that from what I can see, they don't have an option on there site to for complaints with amazon itself, it only gives u the option to complain about sellers. I understand amazon don't sell these products the sellers do, but amazon is allowing so many faulty and rubbish products to be sold on its site! The quality of amazon as a business had gone right down in my opinion and I'm considering leaving amazon. Why pay all that money a year for next day delivery aswell, when alot of the time it's not next day delivery it changes once you have paid for it to the day after or a couple of days later. Also I emailed amazon prime video and music asking if I was entitled to a refund for either of them as I pay for it when u get the basic version free with prime membership. They explained that I have an upgraded version so I'm not entitled to a refund, then they canceled my crunchy roll subscription and my amazon music and amazon video upgraded stuff, It felt like I was being punished for asking if I was entitled to a refund or not.

This is 2021. They force you to phone up to cancel, even after you have texted and called. This is just a scam. Also rather than a "trial month" trial ends the moment you call them up. Some kind of onboardsman should be looking at this utterly unacceptable from a major news title.

Good News, Toxic Comment Sections

As an American, I've found their U.S. News page to actually be pretty good with some insightful investigative journalism that you won't find in American articles on the same topic.The only downside I've found is the incredibly toxic and extreme right-wing comments promoting COVID misinformation in the comment sections of many said articles. You generally find that the most accurate and insightful comments are the ones downvoted the most while the most radical and blatantly biased inaccurate comments are upvoted the most.

I don’t think customer service matters

I ordered a chair that cost about $250 which I found the same chair on the website for a considerable amount less, and they wouldn’t let me change my order , skip ahead , the new chair arrived missing one armrest! They’ve instructed me to “ wait “ 5 to 7 business days to see if they can get me another arm rest. Meanwhile, I have a disassembled chair sitting in my living room.! This should have been handled quickly where they pay for me to return the chair and send me a new one! I don’t think they care about customer satisfaction sadly , she be warned ! I told the man I will not be paying the $50 to send it back ! This is just so disappointing. You wait for a product and it arrives and it’s incomplete.! The chair , only has a few parts. I don’t see how they missed an arm.
