Love this platform

Love this platform, it makes hosting a podcast as a one-woman show SO MUCH EASIER. The only thing I wish it had, that would give it that final star, is more detailed analytics. I also can't access my Google Podcast Analytics because of how it's set up.

Obsessed with certain agendas

Back in the day, I was a great believer in the BBC, it seemed to offer a diverse range of entertainment and simple, unbiased news. Those days are long gone. About five years ago I cancelled my licence fee, and won't be back, there's simply nothing the BBC produce anymore I want to watch. For me the final straw was their coverage of the Brexit referendum, I didn't actually have strong views one way, or the other, but the bias was so obvious, so full on, all day, everyday, and so scathingly unpleasant towards anyone who didn't rabidly support their 'correct' remain line, it really turned me off the organisation. All they seem to produce now is material which supports one of their 'causes'.Honestly, I don't get some of the weird agendas the BBC are so obsessed about, or frankly I don't care. These 'issues' are so far outside most, ordinary Brits' everyday lives, and so little to do with us, why should we care? Most of us just want some entertainment, without any agenda, and some impartial, factual news... again without any agenda, or opinions (we can provide those ourselves, thanks). It's not really a lot to ask for. It's time the licence fee was cancelled, and the BBC was funded by those who want it, why should the rest of us pay for something we really don't need, or want? I can't see how anyone can logically disagree?

Review of mcafee

Customer service is worse than non-existent – it is insulting and shows contempt for customers.

I renewed my annual subscription to McAfee in August and my bank statement records the financial transfer on 25th August.Since then, I have had daily communications from McAfee stating that my payment is overdue and giving two options – “Accept the risk” or “Pay now”. There is no way to confirm you’ve already paid or communicate anything this company doesn’t want to hear.I tried the 0800 telephone number. “There’s a long wait, let us call you back – you won’t lose your place in the queue.” No call – then or the next day, when I left the same call-ack instruction, or the next. Conclusion? The call back offer is an effective way of getting rid of you.I eventually found a way of sending an online message “I’ve paid, you have the money, please activate my protection”. No response. The daily reminders continue. “Accept the risk” or “Pay now”. Alas, McAfee is typical of the worst of the modern IT industry in which customer service is mere words, as evidenced by many customers on Trustpilot.McAfee just doesn’t care and has no system for picking up customer issues, with no corporate commitment to providing any sort of service. The company presumably work to an acceptable churn rate, banking any unallocated payments without a second thought. This is a dishonest and unscrupulous company. Avoid it.

AAA Sucks

I am trying to give my statement but they are making it impossible. I have left three messages now and no one will return my call. Additionally, they are no help in figuring out when my car will be moved from the towing company to the autobody shop. The most information I received was “It will be moved maybe today, or tomorrow, or maybe the next day.” This is no help to me. Do NOT use AAA insurance if you want to keep your sanity.

Long time user, first time reviewer

I have been using Parallels for many years. The ease of use, and the integration with Windows has made this the first piece of software that I upgrade every year. It just works.

Review of hp

Not the reliable brand I thought it was

We have an HP printer and are signed up to HP instant ink. The last cartridge we put in stopped working when still quite full. Message states the cartridge is not authorised. They had sent me the cartridge! Got support from HP after going all round the houses on their website. They would send me new cartridge. New cartridge arrived in a couple of days. But when I install it, I get the same result that the cartridge is not authorised.Meanwhile, I've discovered that without a cartridge fitted the machine won't scan either. A web search has also revealed that there is a class action in the USA for exactly this fault, which suggests it is deliberate to force HP customers to buy ink in addition to the cartridges they get under the instant ink scheme. I've decided not to waste more time and buy another printer, but not HP now or ever!

Review of economist

Yet another terrible cancellation experience

The articles are of good quality, but after nearly a year of not having time to read, I decided to cancel. You can't cancel online. I clicked cancel, it asks me why, and then it gives me options to talk to a real person. From that point, what I thought was a well-respected media company felt like a shady business because in the 21st century, there is no legitimate reason to have to talk to a live person to cancel a digital subscription. The webpage said live chat is fastest and provided phone numbers but warned of high call volume. So I clicked on live chat. I have no way of confirming but the agent seemed to be juggling multiple chats with different customers because it takes 2-4 min between every response. The agent made multiple attempts to sell me something else or make me a different deal in lieu of following my direction to cancel. After 21 minutes, the agent finally canceled my subscription and ended the chat abruptly (the one interchange that didn't take them 2+ minutes to react!), which closed the chat dialogue box, meaning I can't save what was said. Fortunately, a confirmation email did arrive a few minutes later (albeit with an offer for 50% off for a year if I change my mind about canceling). If I can come and go as I please at the click of a mouse, I might re-subscribe when I have more time to read down the road. But now, knowing what a time-consuming, disrespectful process it is to cancel, I probably won't return. In fact, I wish I checked this site for reviews first before subscribing -- I now see other reviewers with a similarly bad experience.

Review of android

Ever since you updated the operating…

Ever since you updated the operating system, the alarm function in clock settings is a joke. You put a huge dismiss area 1/4 of the screen, and a tiny snooze area, have to hit the word snooze dead on or it dismisses the alarm. Since I use my android as my alarm, this function has made me kate several time. If you do not give me a more reasonable snooze area, it may be time to switch to the despised apple phones.

Latest i7 vivibook went faulty as soon as warranty expired HOW !

We bought 2 Asus Vivibook for our high school children, from a computer reseller each cost $1000 each back in Sept. 18, as it went out of warranty, Oct 19, one of the two did not power up. We lodged the fault with Asus, for them to analyse fault, it was quoted up to $80. We gave it to a computer repair shop, which cost us $45, to fix the fault it will cost us approx. $500-$600 to replace the system board. What we are trying to comprehend is what happen to reliability compare to cost, expensive and not reliable. Not to mention all my son’s school work that cannot be retrieve. This is not a reliable product for such a well known brand. We think we should get a free system fix and should only pay for labour fee and Asus should replace faulty components or part due to unreliable hardware.
