We bought 2 Asus Vivibook for our high school children, from a computer reseller each cost $1000 each back in Sept. 18, as it went out of warranty, Oct 19, one of the two did not power up. We lodged the fault with Asus, for them to analyse fault, it was quoted up to $80. We gave it to a computer repair shop, which cost us $45, to fix the fault it will cost us approx. $500-$600 to replace the system board. What we are trying to comprehend is what happen to reliability compare to cost, expensive and not reliable. Not to mention all my son’s school work that cannot be retrieve. This is not a reliable product for such a well known brand. We think we should get a free system fix and should only pay for labour fee and Asus should replace faulty components or part due to unreliable hardware.
