The Good and the Bad

I like that there a quite a few music options and style options. My biggest complaints are that I can only use 20 pictures and I can’t find anyway to control how long pictures stay up. On any style I’ve used, they move too fast to really enjoy. I do appreciate the 20 free picture option.

Beware

Beware! Auto billing (annually) done without any reminder email in case one wants to cancel and not renew membership. On top of that, when I sent a complaint email, it took several days to receive a reply (which landed in my spam). Unacceptable response time by email. No phone number or chat for live replies to customer service issues. Overall, disappointing for an otherwise, great marketplace for products I enjoy.

My review is purely on the subscription…

My review is purely on the subscription service and not the quality of the news articles. It appears to be impossible to cancel a digital subscription at the moment. They are not answering there phones which have an automated message to Email them, which I have done twice.They have Emailed me this morning to say they have too many Emails and are closing my Email’s without actioning them ! MOST annoyingly you cannot cancel the subscription online even though there website and Emails now say you can ! Pure incompetence and borderline criminal activity hiding behind Covid-19. PUT THE OPTION TO CANCEL ON OUR ACCOUNTS ! I know you do not want me to cancel and want to talk me out of it but as you do not have the capacity for that at the moment you CANNOT just ignore my cancel request and take money.

Fabulous Trips

If you want to travel without the hassle of dealing with planning minutiae, Atlas Obscura Trips is the way to go. I’ve taken 2 AO food-based trips to bucket list locations (Lisbon, Portugal 2019, Vietnam 2023) and can’t wait to travel with them again. The trips are well-organized, guides are excellent, sightseeing is fun and interesting, hotels are wonderful. Tour group size is small - allowing plenty of opportunity to interact and make new friends. And the food is pretty amazing! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Abysmal service

I opened a dispute claim for a product purchased with Amex on Ebay. Big mistake! They have been dragging this for weeks, they close the dispute without contacting me, send communication by mail without alerting me that takes avoer 7 working days to arrive. I talked to over 12 agents over the phone. Quite aside from the fact that each agent tells me a different thing, they are all unhelpful. They charged me back because Ebay told them I am still in possession of the item but both Ebay and Amex refuse to give me the seller;s name and adress so I can return the product via a tracked/signature on delivery option. I asked for my case to be escalated and I was told I will be contacted within 3-5 working days. I wasn't. Today I lodged a complaint and was told again I will be contacted within 3-5 working days. I won't hold my breath, but I can tell you that's the last time I'll use their card. I opted for them because I had their card in the US, but their UK branch is a total joke.

Today 30th June 2025 parcel delivered by Amazon ——— I had a notification saying my item was delivered and put through my letter box. Well it was not I’ve had - few parcels from Amazon delivered and they all took photos but this one was not because the parcel was left in the communal area and No photo and when I opened it - it was emptied there was nothing in there I’m not sure if this is a Joke

Great Hospitality at The Old Manse, Bourton-On-The-Water. Always have an enjoyable stay. Staff make us welcome. Food very good and staff friendly. Served by very cheery breakfast waitress Claire who went above and beyond to give us and excellent dining experience in the restaurant.
