I have many Avast programs & I found…

I have many Avast programs & I found Avast Premium Security to be excellent & put your mind at rest as far as keeping viruses at bay as well as cleaning up your computer junk. The only program I have always had problems without of all the Avast programs is Avast AutoTrack, it fowls up Microsoft Outlook & finely I had to get a computer programmer to track down the problem & remove the program, now my computer runs beautifully.

Review of vrbo

Vrbo ruined my anniversary!!!

Vrbo ruined my anniversary!!!We were travelling to Thailand for our anniversary and two hours before our flight from Bangkok was to Phuket our villa was cancelled by the host leaving us no where to go when we landed after an hours flight. We contacted Vrbo who couldn’t get a hold of the host either and said they would put us up in a hotel for 3 days. We were put up in a hotel whilst they sourced another alternative villa for us and we also ask for our money back from the host (who was now blanking all our messages). Two days in and we were told to pay for another villa via any of their sites (Vrbo, Hotels.com or Expedia) and they would give us back the difference so we booked another villa with them (leaving us out of pocket £1500). We went to the second villa address to find there was no villa at all. We contacted Vrbo again who told us to pay for another villa and they would refund us for this one and put us back in a hotel. By this time the trust was gone and we ended up using Air BnB who were brillant. We got all our money back in bribs and drabs but it ruined all our trip. We were out there for two weeks and spent all our time trying to sort these issues out. We lost all our money for all the activities we pre booked. I contacted Vrbo to compensate me for the lost time and ruined holiday but was told they don’t have a compensation scheme. Good way to get out of ruining an important holiday for us!!!!

AMAZON SUPPORT EQUALS ZERO SUPPORT

I bought an Amazon Firestick from Officeworks, tried to activate it and it wont go past "searching for updates" . After 5 minutes or so it comes up with a message to try a reset or contact Amazon for support. So I tried multiple resets with the same result. I am a 10 year Amazon prime customer so I contacted Amazon hoping for support and they basically told me to get nicked, would not even offer any solution other than take it back to where you got it

Review of unity3d

Some honest criticism for a dishonest company

I've got some honest criticism. It's a shame, because Unity produces some fun games. The shame? They're scammers, con artists, and liars. They play off of needy people who are looking for a way to boost their incomes. People who don't have a job, or have a job that barely pays the bills, or people who are unable to work. Those promises of big money are all lies. First, you have to play the games and accumulate a certain amount of points with the promise you'll make x amount of dollars the more you play. Then. You complete the task only to be told you must watch thirty plus videos. Once you have jumped through all their hoops, you are placed in line for payment because others are ahead of you. Finally, you get to the long awaited payday to be informed your PayPal account or whatever kind of account you use has rejected the deposit they are supposed to get from Unity. In my case, I was told to check my account name (on multiple occasions) insinuating I had given them the wrong account info. After resubmitting the correct info, they put you back in line for payment and you wait a week or more again. That time comes around, and you find the deposit was rejected again. I finally started meticulously entering my account info, checking every letter, digit, or period carefully. I'm not the sharpest knife in the drawer, but I knew I wasn't that stupid. Finally, I realized Unity was changing my account info by adding or deleting a letter. In my case, I had a double ff in my account name, and they added an extra f so it would be rejected. If I was a game developer and was offered $100,000,000.00 to work for them part time, I'd turn it down because I don't want to work for liars and thieves. Every time you watch one of their videos to earn your cash award, they get paid... but you don't. They should be ashamed of themselves, because there are desperate people hoping to make some extra money... only to find out they've been scammed. If you see a game you're playing has Unity as the maker, do yourself a favor and delete it. There are some legitimate companies that actually do pay money. It's not much, but it's better than nothing based on false promises and lies. As the old saying goes, "if it seems too good to be true, it probably is."

Review of amazon

no refund on none delivery

I have ordered through Amazon for years and service always been excellent until now. A product was never delivered by Evri, went missing and this has been confirmed by Evri, Amazon refuse to refund as they say the product is delivered and on appeal they say the same thing despite me proving Evri never delivered and the seller who has now had negative feedback due to not responding to me have said they will refund me if i remove feedback, that is blackmail so the review will remain, very disapointed with Amazon and no doubt it will take hours to resolve.

Microsoft Outlook email is INFECTED…

Microsoft Outlook email is INFECTED with a popup BUG, and the bugger is Microsoft. This woeful company now bombards users with a marketing bug in a futile, shabby attempt to get everyone to put all their online eggs into one Microsoft basket. No to pestering, Microsoft. You can stick your ‘Edge’, and you can now stick ‘Outlook’ as well.

Review of newscientist

Appalling Service - but better in future?

On 2nd April 2024, my quarterly subscription was due to renew. On that date New Scientist debited my bank account with £257, simultaneously attempting to debit a further £55 (repeatedly) using a different (expired) debit card. After 7 weeks, 11 emails to "Customer Services" asking for repayment of £257, sending evidence from my bank multiple times, and receiving replies such as "I can confirm you only have one account with us" and similar drivel, I have now commenced legal action for recovery.I would add that the magazine quality has visibly declined over recent months, and I'm quite pleased to be rid of it.-----UPDATE. 10 June 2024-----Launched an online 'small claim' legal action against New Scientist. Heard today that "The Defendant's Response..." (that's NS) says:"I ADMIT ALL THE CLAIM" and is now legally obliged to refund the amount they stole from me, by 15 June 2024.I don't expect an apology however - and anyway, what would it be worth?-----UPDATE. 12 June 2024-----Have received a pretty genuine apology, plus a full refund, so we are friends again. Their external 'Customer Support' does need a root & branch shake up though, and my impression is that NS is now taking this seriously, having recognised the reputational damage tsunami that was going on.

Fanstical customer service! Great iubenda!

Even though I started out anxious as hell and with a completely wrong attitude, Sara calmed me down (even though she potentially would have been entitled to tell me off) and you mega-helped me. Fanstical customer service! Great iubenda!

Great Customer Service

This star rating is not for the app as I didn't end up using it, but for the customer service I received. I reached out by email and they were so helpful, refunding me straight away. Would use in the future after this positive customer experience.

Works until you have a problem

Zoom is convenient to use for video-teleconferencing until you have a problem, such as a breach of security on your account. They have absolutely no customer service for the average person. The recording says you have to have a premium account to get any adviser other than a chatbot.

My monthly Cerulean credit protection charge

Called Cerulean to get my credit protection canceled since I couldn't get a refund of $104 on two erroneous orders. I don't feel the need to have a monthly charge. I am glad I did...I found out I have another credit card through this company, and I don't know how. This company also is in New York and Illinois.

Money hungry developers

Giving an 10 second ad after each page on the pdf is a crime. Just give one ad before opening and it's fine. How profit and money hungry ya'll have to be cuh. Get a life dawg it's more to a website and company than just early profit results.
