Review of berliner-zeitung
Danke, geschätzte Redaktion, weiter so!
Review of abebooks
AbeBooks is a platform for scammers and money launderers. There are thousands of sellers that have a 5***** ratings who will sell you a $10 paperback for $ 250'000, or more. I do consider myself an honest bookseller - and have not encountered any that are not. Still, what goes on on AbeBooks is a total scandal. The New York Times reported about it, countless forums describe how many despicable sellers try to cheat you. Their tricks are rather simple: get the book listed at "highest first" and put an outrageous price on it. Maybe some poor soul will fall for it, but mostly drug-pushing buddies can claim his/her money in a single strike: buy the paperback for $100'000, let the bookseller pay taxes on it and the money is clean. I have asked AbeBooks many times to stop this, but to no avail. Please contact your local authorities about this, so that AbeBooks will have to act.

Review of asus
bought a cheap C101 that died after initial set up so took that back to argos and paid an extra 300 for the C434 and after two days one of the speakers sounds like it is under water. so suppose another trek back to argos to try and get one that works properly this time -- not argos fault just crappy build quality

Review of vrbo
Total scam. We paid for a house that didn’t exist. The guarantee Vrbo provide means they only help you 3 days before you are due to start your stay. They are so slow that after 8 calls and 6 messages we still did not get an answer on time I.e. the day we were supposed to stay in the house we’d booked. So we had to find (and pay) for alternative accommodation. Will we ever get our money back?!
Review of twilio
Absolutely the worst customer service I think I've experienced in a while. There is no customer support number so you're forced to write a ticket to attain any help. Which I did. Twilio has been charging me for months for services they DID NOT PROVIDE ME after THEY DENIED my application because I provide credit repair services. The rep. Alex Monsalvo answered my ticket and went in circles over and over again asking me for information I had already provided him. I made it clear I wanted a refund for all the charges I wasn't provided services for since Twilio denied my application. He asked me for the dates 3 times, then proceeded to tell me they'll provide me a refund for the amount left in my account once I closed my account. That's great but what about all of the payments I already made and wasn't provided services. I wanted a refund for all of it. He then asked me for which dates, and then asked me for screenshots. Then once again asked me for the dates and then again the screenshots. After I wrote an email pointing out that if he doesn't help me that I will be contacting the FTC and the BBB, he FINALLY responded and said HE LOOKED INTO MY BILLING HISTORY and will send the ticket to the billing team! IN OTHER WORDS HE DIDNT NEED ANY OF THE INFORMATION HE ASKED ME TO PROVIDE OVER AND OVER. HE WAS ABLE TO ACCESS IT FROM THE BEGINNING. THIS MEANS HE KNEW HE WAS SUPPOSE TO REFER ME TO THE BILLING TEAM BUT YET PROCEEDED TO RIDE ME AROUND IN CIRCLES!!

Outrageous charging 17% so someone can help out charities that are in desperate need of funding. To me it relates to racketeering. They also need to change the wording from "TIP" to "Mandatory Charge" because to me a TIP is optional.
Review of indiegogo
I’ve backed a few projects and so far only had one not come to life. Several junk items that didn’t live up to the promises. Of course the most expensive one I backed is the one that didn’t materialize. But the makers are planning to start back up on it next year once they’ve paid off their debts. But everything was designed on technology in 2015 or 2014, or goodness, might have been 2013, I’d have to go look. They’ll have to start a large portion of the project over to fit components that are now available as many of the old ones will not be available. My biggest frustration is the maker was offering for us to get our money back in an update posted years ago and that we could back out at one point. I requested that I would like to do so per their offer at that time, and it never happened. I feel like indiegogo should have made them honor it because they offered it. But overall indiegogo does a really good job to let you know the risks and such and help keep things above board. I would only invest money that you can live without, and if something comes of it, enjoy the surprise! keep your expectations low. However, Some things turn out really great.
