Review of guitarcenter
Guitar center has really went downhill in the last ten years. They sell new guitars that have been used half of their shipping boxes. I ripped and torn. Guitar Center ships you out broken guitars. This company is a joke, especially the dayton, ohio guitar center, who never has anybody to help you there.

Edited to REMOVE a star after the company responded: The cop out of the response below is awful. They said the answers are not guaranteed to be correct but to help with learning? How in the world can I learn when I am sifting through dozens of INCORRECT problem "solutions"?!! These are not minor mistakes like a missing negative sign. They are BLATANTLY NOT ANSWERING THE RIGHT QUESTION! I now understand why Chegg has so many terrible "experts" there is no quality control. If I were you, I would avoid a subscription if you are in any upper level classes. Apparently they don't have Physics or Math people competent enough to handle undergraduate work and don't care at all about the quality of the product they provide. Chegg, you should try updating your canned comments to at least come across as if you care at all. Blowing me off like this is infuriating. I’m frustrated because I’m taking upper level physics classes. It’s apparent that you don’t have a lot of “experts” in this area because their answers are often wrong. There are some that are wonderful and have excellent explanations but I would say 40-50% of the answers I find are unreliable. Some are infuriating because they clearly didn’t read the question and are just answering a similar question that was already answered. I do a lot of searching before I post a question so I would expect that they would at least read what I ask. It’s even more frustrating because I can’t communicate with them to see if it can be fixed. So it’s a waste of time.

Review of parallels
I came back to Parallels after quite a few years from when I first used it. It obviously just kept getting better and better. I have some old Windows programs that I still use quite often. I have loaded Windows 7, Windows XP, and a Linux computer with Parallels on my MacBook Pro. I had been using VirtualBox, but with every Mac OS upgrade, it would take quite a while for VB to catch up. The cost of Parallels was well worth having virtual machines that run so smoothly and look so good on my Mac.

Seems they'll respond very promptly on here but not to other forums! And when they have responded, they just provide generic information, which doesn't answer the question, and then take another age to reply again. I've given up trying to get hold of them now, to ask such a simple question. P*ss poor Customer Service, Customer lost I'm afraid.Update: spoke to customer representative, issue still not resolved. Company is a scam. The product might work, but unless you sign up to the annual payments to keep software up to date, the version you buy becomes completely defunct at the first apple OSX upgrade. Parallels shouldn’t offer a one-off payment knowing this fact, it’s fraudulent. Every other piece of software I have updates accordingly, Christ I can see run software from the early 2000’s but this company monopolises on the OSX update and you either have to pay to upgrade your version or accept the version you have no longer works! Sounds like there’s quite a number of other people in this situation, shame as they could probably be more profitable if they re-thought the business plan. For me though, I’ll be removing this software as I can’t use it anyway, and avoiding Parallels for good. For any future perspective Customers, just beware of what you’re paying for and unless you’re happy to subscribe to the higher fees, it’s a waste of money!

Review of americanexpress
Amex Illegally Miscommunicated Servicemembers Civil Relief Act (SCRA) and Military Lending Act (MLA) Benefits — Then Charged Me $695I never thought I’d have to write a review like this — but American Express has left me with no other option. As the spouse of a newly commissioned U.S. military officer, I reached out to American Express to ask a very specific question: If I upgrade to the Platinum card, will I be eligible for the military spouse fee waiver under SCRA or MLA? I made it absolutely clear to the representative that I could not afford the $695 annual fee. I told her I would only upgrade if I qualified for the military benefit. She assured me, multiple times, that I did. That assurance — which turned out to be completely false — has now cost me nearly $700 I cannot get back.Amex charged me the full annual fee right after the upgrade. Then, months later, they sent me a cold letter saying I didn’t qualify. Why? Because I live in a residence that isn’t considered “community property” — something they had on record the entire time. They knew I didn’t qualify before I even upgraded, but they never disclosed it. Not once.Instead, they allowed the upgrade to proceed, took $695 from me, and then waited months to inform me I was disqualified — after I had no time to reverse it.Let me be brutally clear:I never used the Platinum card beyond a single transaction that was immediately paid off. I got zero value out of the card. I upgraded based solely on the false promises of an Amex representative. And when I contacted them to explain this and ask for a refund, they stonewalled me.Over the course of several months, I made dozens of calls, wrote multiple letters, and explained the situation again and again — and each time, I got the same response: “Sorry, we can’t refund the fee.”Meanwhile, that $695 sat on my account like an anchor. We’re not a wealthy family. That money was supposed to go toward our basic expenses — groceries, school fees, utilities. Instead, it vanished into Amex’s balance sheet, taken under false pretenses, leaving me feeling helpless, angry, and exploited. This isn’t just bad customer service. It’s systemic deception.Amex miscommunicated federal protections under the Servicemembers Civil Relief Act (SCRA) and the Military Lending Act (MLA). They failed to disclose disqualifying information they already had. They never explained the difference between SCRA and MLA, nor the exact eligibility criteria — and when pressed, they hid behind legalistic responses and refused to acknowledge their failure. And now? I just received a notice saying my Platinum card will automatically renew, and I’ll be charged another $695 next month. This is what Amex does:They dangle military benefits to lure you in.They misinform you or hide disqualifying info. They take your money before telling you the truth. Then they refuse to make it right.Let me ask you — what kind of company treats military families this way? What kind of financial institution preys on confusion around military benefits and then digs in when they’re caught?I’m canceling this card and cutting all ties with Amex. But before I go, I’m writing this so others don’t get trapped the way I did.To every military family out there: be careful.Amex talks a big game about supporting our troops, but their actions — at least in my case — speak louder than any empty marketing slogan. They took $695 from a military spouse, lied to do it, and refused to give it back. That’s all you need to know.#AmexScam #SCRA #MLA #MilitaryFamilyScam #ShameOnAmex #CustomerServiceFail #AmericanExpressExposed #ServicemembersRights #DoNotTrustAmex

Be careful, I would advice against putting any money on this platform, or in this company. When you contact support you won’t get any substantive response, it is probably all AI and bot answers. This is very serious when it is about your money, so think twice!
Review of cargocollective
I've had a Cargo subscription for 10+ years. You would think that all the money I've given this company would motivate their team to treat me halfway decently but that seems to be entirely too much of an ask. Every time I contact support (maybe 2-3 times per year), I'm treated with blatant indifference and as little more than a nuisance. The least you can do is attempt to care.
