Trying to login with the Windows app…

Trying to login with the Windows app through any third party service (e.g. Google) throws error 400 with no possible bypass. I can login through the website itself but the app doesn't recognize it. Tried to submit a ticket to support and it redirects me to my profile. This is unacceptable for such a profitable service.

CANNOT CANCEL ONLINE SUBSCRIPTION ONLINE!

Wow well this was an insane experience... I signed up for the 7 day trial for the online Times digital access, and then a couple of days later went to cancel my subscription to avoid future billing at full price. Strangely, there was no cancellation button / option in my account. I assumed I was being blind but I called their customer service number who informed me that there is indeed NO WAY to cancel online! Let's take a step back here... you can sign up to pay online, but you cannot cancel online? This is probably the most scammiest, unethical practice I've encountered in a long time and certainly not something I'd expect from a well known national news service!!He then transferred me to their cancellation department, where I was put through a sales pitch and later being placed on hold for no reason (I can only imagine it's because they hope people will put the phone down in frustration instead of waiting to get their subscription cancelled) until finally - after requesting cancellation firmly about 5 times - they agreed to cancel my subscription. Their choice to increase their revenue by making the cancellation process as complicated as possible by deliberately not including a cancellation feature in the users Account area is horrifying and incredibly unethical.

Terrible for podcasts

Thankfully they just upped the RSS Limit to 300 but why the limit. Hello Internet had a bare campaign to remove the jokes 100 item limit but the war isn’t over yet.

Review of newyorker

Don’t fall for the tote bag, especially if outside the US

I’ve always liked The New Yorker magazine, but my most recent subscription, which I placed in February, left me completely disappointed. The tote bag that was supposed to come as a free gift never arrived within the promised timeframe — even after 10 weeks.Since I live in France, I contacted customer service at support(at)newyorker(dot)com to check the status. For the record, I also never received the tote bag from a previous subscription, so this time I really didn’t want to let it slide. The first representative confirmed that the 8–10 week delivery window had passed, and asked for my shipping address to send the bag. Then came the twist: I was told to wait another 6 to 8 weeks for delivery. In the end, the tote finally showed up — on June 16. That’s nearly twenty weeks of waiting.AND THE CHERRY ON TOP? When I went to pick it up at the post office, I was asked to pay €9 in customs fees.I know no one can control customs charges once an item crosses borders. But after all that waiting, having to pay for what's supposed to be a free gift? I genuinely feel scammed — and honestly, I'm furious. If you live outside the US, keep that in mind before subscribing. From now on, I won’t fall for any kind of advertising bait ever again. My rating: One star — not because you earned it, but because I couldn’t go any lower.

The update is hard to follow

The update is hard to follow. And the order of lessons is mixed up, so that my only way to progress is to redo lessons I did ages back.

Review of doordash

Will never use Door Dash again

Put in the restaurant I wanted close to my house. After ordering, my food was being made in a city 12 hours away from me. I canceled, and now they refuse to send me my money after telling me on the phone I would be getting a full refund. Not to mention i paid extra to get my money back immediately. Don't have that option if youre not going to do it. This company is just money hungry. Wasn't my fault your app messed up.Update: after talking to 3 more people I got my refund, but my statement still stands. I won't be using doordash again in the future.

Terrible Customer Service and Product

I recently bought Logitech G305 Gaming Mouse and my experience have been TERRIBLE with it. Whenever i try to use the mouse it randomly disconnects for a split second and it makes my experience like hell. I contacted the customer service and they made me do some software stuff but none of that worked. I waited for 4-5 days for an email from them just to see the same solution steps again. I'm really tired of this service and i don't think i will ever buy a logitech product again.

Biased yahoo

I made comments with same words used from the person attacking me but while they're comment was allowed to stay, mine was rejected. Yahoo is a biased news site.

RUG PULL - NOT FREE - SHAME

Complete betrayal of ethics towards long term users who first joined and used this platform as a free notes app like advertised. The more you use it, the more you rely on it, then they pull the rug. Restricting your accses to 50 notes unless you pay. No warning this transition was comming.Hate feeling hoodwinked, such a great app otherwise. Reverse this nonsense so I can delete this reveiw. Jesus, why so bloody greedy.

SCAM???

As others have mentioned, my insurance went up based on information from LexisNexis. I too have a nearly perfect credit score and pay off my credit cards in full each month. I attempted to get my Consumer Disclosure Report, which I had to request online. It took them six sheets of paper to provide me with a link, not the report, but a link supposedly to the report along with a PIN. It took several tries, but the PIN finally worked. Why didn't it work the first half dozen times I tried? That's anyone's guess. I then had links to two pdfs. But both links gave me an error message! Are you kidding me??? I tried emailing and got this response: "Your comments and questions are very important to us. Unfortunately, we are unable to authenticate your identity and therefore cannot process your request." It then proceeded to give me reasons why the authentication process may have been unsuccessful, all of which had to do with submission of documents that were at no time requested. I'll try calling but I don't hold out much hope based on other reviews.

Linked In NOT in touch with the real world. …

Cannot verify my profile because my passport name is not the name I go by in every day life, as is the case for many people. But Linked Ins verification service does not have an option to let them know your passport name and THEN verify, like most slf respecting companies do.

Review of Facebook

Meta Took My Money, Then Blocked My Business

As a small business owner, I used Facebook to promote my page through paid ads. What I didn’t expect was that my entire business operation could be shut down over how my personal profile looks – even though it’s a business page I’m running.Meta (Facebook) links everything to your personal account. If their automated system thinks your profile isn’t “real enough” (not enough photos, not enough videos, too many or too few posts), it can flag your entire setup. That includes your business page, ad account, and payment access. No real explanation, no proper appeal system, just an automated shutdown. To make matters worse, a large chunk of the engagement from my paid ads seemed to be fake profiles, bots, or phishing attempts. So even while I was being charged for “clicks” and “views,” there was very little legitimate traction. You can’t filter it. You can’t get a refund. And you can’t speak to a real person. If my account gets closed, fine — keep the ad money, because frankly, most of it went to bots and bad traffic anyway. But don’t pretend it’s a fair platform for small businesses. If you rely on Facebook to grow your business, you’re at risk of losing everything without warning — just because your personal profile doesn’t meet their invisible trust metrics.Avoid putting all your eggs in Facebook’s basket. The platform is unstable, unaccountable, and not small-business friendly anymore.
