I have used Agoda for years, but no more. I am tired of gimmicks like Subject to Cashback. As if we don’t have enough to do these days. I was just about to book 4 separate properties and all of them involved “Cashback”. No thanks. Agoda enough of stupid gimmicks. The price is the price. We don’t need to be waiting for a qualifying period and then submitting claims. I’me out, bye bye Agoda

My sincere advice : use the monthly payment payment plan on a bank standing order (not direct debit). If you decide to cancel your account, download your data - delete your data - cancel the standing order with your bank and, only then, tell DropBox to cancel your account.I used a common paid back-up app that creates an encrypted file container of 3Gb and zips it, ready to put wherever I want. The back-up app would not sync directly with DropBox, the app company's help desk would not even consider it but would oblige with most every other cloud storage provider. Uploading these 3Gb blocks took up to an hour each. The uploads would end with a 'finalising' stage which often stuck and prevented any other uploads waiting in the queue from starting. I couldn't even cancel the stuck task as the button was greyed out. All I could do is logout and log back in again and start over.The 'upload in the background' app that they push is invasive and forces you to have a copy of your pending uploads in a folder on your machine. Whilst it is working in the 'background' it uses 37% of your PC resources and reduces everything to a crawl.Downloading one of these 3Gb files took over a day! The whole website is one pushing pointless features, constant upgrade options and longer payment plans. The latest wants your phone number and suggests using a google account. They probably do not realise that google offer a competitive file storage solution.

I purchased a idoo inflatable mattress for 69.99. I needed it for vacation so naturally I never got it out of the box. A few days ago I inflated it to discover a hole. I contacted Amazon and they said no big deal we will credit your account 69.99 no need to send it back. Naturally, I discarded of the mattress . The money never showed up in my account. Fast forward to today, may 24 , 2025 i contacted a manager who told me the sales associate was wrong and they could not refund the money. They asked that I pack it up and ship it back and I told them I had already discarded it because telhe issue was resolved. Long story short, they declined to reimburse me and to make it right they would send 10 dollars to the account. Pathetic excuse for customer service from one of the biggest companies across the globe. I canceled everything and I hope more people realize their customer service is worth about as much as the cheap products they sell.

VRBO are terrible. They focus only on the guests and treat property owners terrible. There are so many problems with their service, and then when you try to resolve their customer service staff are so rude and even close chat mid conversation - they speak to their customers like dirt. Compared to Airbnb, who provide a stable platform and great service, customer service are polite and helpful and balanced focus on the tenants and the owners of the property. All of which does not cost anything, just more of principal the CEO can implement in the firm for free.

Tried to pay to access the content on my credit card, debit card and paypal account. Of which I never normally have issues. This time around I had no luck using all three options. Hence the 1* rating as I cannot access the service.Tried 5 times on my credit card and realised I've been charged $5. Hopefully this will come back to my account in the next few days.

Five times I tried to send money to India and each time at the point of Card Authentication the message came that I had to contact my bank. I did and the bank told me that not one of my attempts had reached the bank. I phoned XE and an agent took a block off my card but it still did not work. While holding on the line from the agent was disconnected and the Agent did not phone me back. Why do I keep on using XE? The website has too many issues.
