The company calling itself…

The company calling itself dyskolosdaskalos, run by Philo Stefanides (in Alameda, California), sold me a book for $2750.00. It was lacking a 4-page signature. When I called to ask to return the item, he said that I was lying about the missing pages, and he refused to refund my money. He also required payment by check, thus cutting out the service on which I found the book of its cut. He is unreliable, argumentative, and unreasonable.

I wanted to have an Indian +91 IVR…

I wanted to have an Indian +91 IVR number so was purchased it by paying $20 on their portal. Next day again it said, account suspended due to lack of funds. So I paid 20$ again. Then it said recharge your account and I paid $ 20 again. After that, when i wanted to check by making a call to the purchased number, turns out that it is being used by someone in India already. Seems to me like a scam. Awaiting for a reply on the refund.

Review of themegrill

Using ColorMag Pro for years.

I have been using ColorMag Pro for years because it looks professional, and has features that I need, and can't find in other themes. Recently after an upgrade, I had a display problem where the logo did not work uniformly on phone, tablet, and desktop. ThemeGrill support connected to my web site, and created a bit of CSS that fixed the problem. I plan to use ColorMag Pro for years to come.

Review of substack

Main complaint is no living humans on customer service, wait a long time to get answers, product doe

The product is good. I wish the AI chat would have real humans responding. I needed people to help me import more of my blog posts with an RSS blog posts error and could not with all this wait time hearing from humans via e-mail. Had to figure it out myself. Substack used to have real people when I tried it a while back helping someone else. Visually, it’s not that great and doesn’t have much room for basic custom design, but more than Beehiiv’s basic plan so I’ll take that. Everything works as it should. The free plan is just what we needed for our smaller newsletter/blog setup. $50 for a one time web hosting deal is unheard of these days when all the web hosts charge $150-500 yearly. Much appreciated, thank you for allowing that custom domain option, Substack!Lots of the crowd is rough with has beens, never beens, deadbeats making fun of people and too many dreadful influencers. I feel like I’m taking a walk in humidity from influencer/creator soup on this website. The majority of the newsletters are people acting out for attention and gaining subscribers, like TikTok for writing! We will keep at it and try our best with our boring, happy, professional newsletter. Do I worry about Substack one day telling us we aren’t a good fit and to take our newsletter elsewhere? Yes. Or they might bury our feed and SEO in the depths of the ocean on their website over it. Here is to wishing we have more normal, boring people using Substack, fingers crossed because we want to stay on this platform for a while with what we do like about it. :)Would love it if Substack fell somewhere between Linkedin and Tiktok on the professionalism scale with the users. A bit more humble than LinkedIn and friendlier, but more professional.WHEN you can get ahold of them, the human staff are friendly.

Review of ikea

I buy an Ikea toy kitchen in Italy on…

I buy an Ikea toy kitchen in Italy on Ikea.co.uk in December 2023, after a few months we move to London and this toy kitchen does not fit in our new house. I enquire at Ikea Italy to return it here in the UK as I have the receipt and am within the 365 day return period, they confirm (and send me the policy valid ALL OVER THE WORLD) that I can return it to an Ikea shop and be refunded (I change my mind). I inquire at Ikea UK customer service who start throwing up excuses saying that for them the document issued in Italy is not legible because the tax matrices are different and it's as if I don't have a valid tax document. And so they cannot organise my return. They ask me to go with the item (which specifically weighs more than 20 kilos) to a store to possibly get an assessment for the return and resell service (the item is not even among those that Ikea takes back at a minimum price). The result is that once again Ikea proves to have very bad customer service and violates its own policies to the detriment of consumers, I lost 129€. Last time

After a year of searching, I have a JOB!

I like the fact I can go to a site where the jobs have been reviewed for scams and places just trying to gather your data.

Review of themeforest

Extremely Disappointing Experience

I am deeply dissatisfied with my recent purchase. Despite encountering numerous bugs and performance issues, my request for a refund was met with resistance. I spent an entire month writing emails, trying to resolve the issue, only to be met with suggestions for further troubleshooting, which I had no interest in.The refund was only processed after I threatened to escalate the matter to the European Online Dispute Resolution and the Bulgarian Commission for Consumer Protection. This experience has been incredibly frustrating and time-consuming. I strongly advise potential customers to consider this before making a purchase.

Review of google

We have had problems with the heat link replaced under warranty

We have had problems with the second heatlink on Google Nest learning thermostat (after the first was replaced under warranty by the supplier). I tried to contact Google but was put through to the USA who transferred me back to UK so after 2 or 3 minutes I gave up. Clearly unhappy I just want to disconnect it and find an alternative that lasts more than 2 years. The first was bought in January 2022, so after less than 3 years we have had 2 failures. As a retired computer engineer with a background in electrical engineering and electronics I think I do know a little about how to set things up, and as this is the second time around I do not intend to give it a third!

Review of depop

Depop Seller Protection Saviour!!

Just wanted to jump on a write a review as I’m so impressed by Depop for refunding my buyer when their item was lost/stolen through Depop Buyer / Seller protection. Neither of us lost our money and it was all resolved very fast. Really impressed actually! I’ll always post through Depop / Evri and use Depop payments because it’s so worth it for occasions like this. Thanks Mike U for your help today.

Review of xero

Sadly Xero has changed

Sadly Xero has changed, and not for the better. I used to sing their praises, but now Xero totally ignores it's customers views when making updates and tells it's customers they are luddites for not liking using something that has gone backwards in functionality (frankly offensive). I am now forced to use New Invoicing even though simple faults like email placeholders are still not fixed, and forced autosave makes a mess of things. I reported this weeks ago and got advised by support to revert to Classic Invoicing until it was resolved. They still haven't fixed it & I no longer have that option since New Invoicing was enforced on 27th Feb. Awful & so frustrating. Xero is no longer the future, go elsewhere folks.
