Review of dsw

DSW gave my shoes to a thief and said sorry.

Ordered shoes online to be picked up at my local(ish) DSW store (in Sandy, UT). When I arrived it turns out someone had picked up MY shoes already. Since it was the last pair of shoes in that size company wide I was just SOL and had driven 30 minutes for nothing except a refund and “I’m sorry”. They are supposed to have a process where they check the email on your phone or look at your ID and make sure it’s really you, but they also just have the orders (and names) for pickup in the front for customers to look at, and I’m sure some dishonest person looking for free sperrys just went up and said my name because they read it off of a sperry box. So now I have no Sperrys, and instead of saving money on shipping, by picking it up at the store, I’m netting negative both financially (gas money) and with anger after a very careless customer service experience. I’m totally unimpressed with this experience and really hope they try to fix this horrible process of picking up an order.

I'd give them 0 stars if I could.

I'd give them 0 stars if I could. This is about as scammy as it gets, folks. Trust the reviews. My bad experience is like a regurgitation of what others have posted. Hefty charge for a mysterious service I definitely didn't sign up for after I visited their site once, like, a year ago and didn't sign up for anything. Not even a trial offer. Yeah, no. Hard pass.

Too much ads and not enough forecast

Too much space on the met office forecast website is taken up with ads, it is becoming useless.

They charged my 70-year-old mother a $136 subscription she did not knowingly sign up for. She contacted them quickly to get help and cancel it. But they refused to refund her. Totally underhand and predatory behaviour.

I have now switched to Sky. Who wants to watch a radio programme on tv. I switched on this morning to listen to lot of drivel on football for half an hour. If you want to listen to a radio programme then use the radio

Review of Spotify

Spotify is bad software

If I could give a negative number for the review, I would. Spotify has you create a playlist and then won't let you play it in the order you sorted the songs. Spotify creates a new playlist for you and plays that. If you pick a single song, it will play others after that song that it has chosen for you. If you skip through these songs you did not pick, that uses up your limited free skip acts. Most of the time, I skip Spotify all together. Their ad says if you pay them each month you can have unlimited skips. Their ads insult you saying that paying them each month is "a no brainer". No, I won't take the bait that everyone else would pay you so should I. I understand that I would pay you to skip unlimited songs, not my expectation from paying for software. Software should be a useful tool for me, not an ap that dictates what I will listen to when. I don't choose for software to rule my life. I am capable of making my own decisions. Including avoiding Spotify.

Trial Trap - Do not sign up for the Free trial !

Do not sign up for the Free trial if you are not planning to use the service for the whole year. The cancel button on the page after you sign up cancels the auto-renewal (which happens after a year). After that, you will be paying 30 USD every month even though you don't use it. And they have disabled to remove the card and remove the account.

BBB lists scam artist contractors as A+ businesses

We hired Henley Drywall and Painting to do work on our house due to the fact that BBB has this business rated as A+. The owner did shoddy work, demanded money we did not owe him, kept materials and a cabinet that belong to us and refused to finish the job. He conned us into signing contracts for work he was not qualified to do and then never did any of the work. He had no crew but brought in ex-cons and random people off the street that he had not vetted into our house. We lost over $6K to this company. We filed a complaint with the BBB and the contractor made NO effort to resolve the issue. And yet, despite all this the BBB decided to close our case saying the contractor had made a "good faith effort" to resolve our complaint. This could not be further from the truth. The contractor is a scam artist but BBB still has his business as A+. BBB says "start with trust" but there is no way consumers should trust BBB as a place to hire contractors. BBB is dishonest listing businesses that rip consumers off as A+ businesses.

Review of vrbo

Avoid! Apartment 6 miles from advertised location.

The location of the apartment was 100% clear on the Expedia listing. The reality was it was 6 miles from where precisely shown on their map - it was supposed to be walking distance from where we had to be, but it was a 30 minute drive. Forget the "booking with confidence " guarantee - they had subcontracted to VRBO, who in turn subcontracted to a local agency (Holi-Rent -Cadiz,Spain) - they all realised that they'd got it completely wrong but wouldn't refund, were rude, and all passed the buck between each other. This is the second time we've been completely let down by them. We will never book via them again, and would advise nobody do so. Avoid!!!!Update - the reply below from VRBO simply reinforces what I've said above. The link (which doesn't work unless you copy it into a browser) simply takes me to their standard FAQs. No real assistance at all. They have no values and no customer service. Avoid at all costs.

We used Twilio to distribute SMSs in Nigeria. They did a hack of a job, we lost thousands of dollars in error messages, they felt no responsability whatsoever and gave no refunds. We switched to another provider and, in a week, it cost us only a fraction of what Twilio cost us in half a day.

Twilio double calls

I am using twilio through hubspot and this is the worst experience EVER. I use to hear another call in paralel of the call i was having IN TURKISH! Although my client said he was alone in his room and was located in switzerland. I encountered the issue once, reported it to support, said they would start tracking my calls. The issue happened again, i notified them immediately and they said everything looked normal and if we wanted to look further into it we would have to report 5 more calls like this....

Review of surveymonkey

Beware of SurveyMonkey

I visited their site to see if I liked the service and if I could do a one time survey for a fixed price. After setting up a test survey and finding very little info in pricing structure, trial periods, etc, I stupidly entered my credit card info to "get the details". That's when I discovered they only offer a very expensive annual subscription. Somehow I managed to get far enough through the process that I accidentally purchased $1200 worth of survey service I did not want.SurveyMonkey refuses to honor my request to reverse the charges.Be very careful with this company. They are shady and unforgiving.

Review of royalcaribbean

Before Covid

Before Covid, I booked a cruise to set sail May of 2020 which was understandably canceled because of Covid. I was given a cruise credit totaling $1,318. My husband and I booked another cruise to use the certificate, over the phone with a rep. When the email confirmation came through it stated we needed to be vaccinated. Since my husband wasn't vaccinated, I called to get another cruise credit, since the rep that booked us never mentioned of the requirement. They agreed and said it would take a couple of days for the credit to go through. That was on 4/27/22. The credit has still not gone through. Every time I call it is hours on the phone with no resolution. The credit seems to have disappeared. I spent over $1,300 and have nothing from them. The last time I called, I spent 3 hours on the phone, thinking I hung up with a resolution, only to find out now that nothing was ever done. Any attorney wanting to start a class action lawsuit might make a ton of money doing so. I can't be the only one this has happened to.

Review of lg

Would never buy an LG product again!

Would never buy an LG product again! All we wanted was a new seal as it had ripped, cost £129. First engineer who came, fit it incorrectly and it leaked in the bottom corner, he also scratched the machine whilst changing the seal, I called LG about this, their response was to give me an email address to send a complain which I didn't receive, they then sent some one else out who had no parts to fix it and didn't have a clue why he was there, had to order parts which took 7 working day, he then came out to change parts a week later that hadn't been fitted properly. It was still leaking! Rung AGAIN, he then sent someone else out a few days later who again didn't know why he was there, had no parts, he took pictures of damage and took name of first engineer who came out! I called again for customer complaints email to send a formal complain about the lack of services, they never even bothered replying! Had to wait another 7 days to order new parts, this fell over the Easter weekend so had to wait even longer, we also moved house in this process! We are now over 5 weeks later and still couldn't use the washer/dryer! All we wanted was a new seal! Nobody told the engineer we had moved house, when he final did arrive it was the same engineer which had done a poor job in the he first place by not fitting anything properly even though LG informed me it would be someone more senior coming to fix it, he said there was nothing wrong and to just try it!After waiting over another week! What do I say to that! Communication is disgraceful!! Customer service is disgraceful! Did not seem at all interested and no engineer knew why they were there or what parts they should of ordered or what was going on. Would never buy an LG product again! Asked for my money back for all the Hassel and going backwards and forwards to people houses and launderette to wash and dry clothes for over 5 weeks! Completely ignored me and have had no response. Really really disappointed!
